The Caribbean Princess needs to be remodeled or taken out of service. It is dated and subpar. The pools did not get cleaned with a filter (as standard on land) and by the 3rd day all pools were murky and had a sheen of body oil and sunscreen.
The service was good with exceptional staff at the Wheelhouse Bar and Lotus Spa. The cruise was very short staffed but the crew that was present did a ...
This ship is filled to capacity & it’s clear they are under staffed. Tables are not cleared & reset in the buffet & outdoor eateries. Princess still serves a condensed, liquid coffee that is mixed with hot water, so basically it’s instant coffee. Fresh brewed is only available for purchase In Coffee & Cones or International Cafe. Every other cruise line (Celebrity, Holland America, Royal ...
It's probably been about 20 years since I've taken a Princess Cruise, so I had a lot to review on this cruise. The first thing is that all Princess Cruises Ships now use the Medallion instead of a cabin key card and that process works well. As soon as you get close to your door, you can hear it unlock and it allows you easy entry. The Medallion Class app that is downloaded on your cell phone is a ...
We choose. this cruise because of the price, we had been on the Princess in November 2021 and on Holland America in February 2022 and felt very secured in not getting COVID 19 everyone was required to wear masks when indoors, ,and you had to be fully vaccinated. So when we saw the price for this cruise we decided to take it.This cruise you had to be fully vaccinated but where not required to wear ...
I booked a penthouse suite on the Caribbean Princess as friends kept telling my I needed to try Princess (I'm Platinum Plus on NCL). What a mistake. Their "priority" boarding is nothing but a cattle call - stood in line 1/2 an hour to check in. Suite was smaller than I expected and the balcony was nothing like it was described as on their website. Had two chairs with stools when the web site ...
Wow, has Princess changed. Smoking is now allowed in the Casino. The result is a stale smoke smell throughout the midship area on level 5,6 and 7, and in the midship elevators. Unhappy staff and I think that was due to a full ship with insufficient staff members. Restaurant and bar service was lacking. As far as food in the buffet....it was the same every day. I felt like I was being served ...
We had toilet issues, calling 3 times for issues ongoing with flushing and noise.
The Medillion didn’t work well and it was the topic of several crew members, including the cruise director and the comedians. We were paying for this service.
Food was just ok nothing special. Only 2 of the specialty restaurants were open all cruise and were booked solid so no reservations could be made. ...
In most all departments I got the impression that I was "in the way" of the crew. Perhaps they were understaffed and stressed but that does NOT make for a pleasant atmosphere for the passengers.
Compared to the MSC cruise line staff it was night and day. I look forward to my next cruise with MSC.
The dining rooms were so understaffed I chose to eat in the buffet. The buffet food was ...
The staff was friendlier on princess than any of my most recent cruises however the medallion did not work as well as I had hoped. Bar staff was overrun with people and they could not keep up. Very hard to just get a soda much less an alcoholic beverage. Overall it just seemed unorganized and maybe a shortage of crew. My steward was awesome there were a few bartenders that were great but the ...
This was our first and probably last Princess cruise. The cruise line touted their Medallion and app. We had issues with both prior to cruise but finally managed to fill in our information to embark. We had a specific window to check in at the port. Upon arrival there was a line that took close to 2 hours to negotiate. The Medallion and App were not working. We finally arrived at our cabin ...
