Onboarding process over 2 hours due to security breach. Many of us older folks had no place to sit and both standing and making it to the floor were both bad choices. Prior to the cruise I booked dinner reservations at specific times, specific days, and specific locations using the Princess app. On our first night's dinner we were scolded by the receptionist for being late. I asked her, what do ...
Had to skip two out of four ports due to dangerous winds in the area. Oh well! We took this cruise mainly to enjoy the ship as we have seen most of the Caribbean islands in the past. And we did have a good time, considering.
Embarkation was smooth and we were in the buffet to start the overeating tour once again. This was our 26th. cruise and we feel we know the ropes. We have sailed ...
This was my 19th cruise. It all began with plumbing problems on my 2022 cruise on Island Princess. I had received a good will discount that had to be applied within a year. I decided to book a 14 night B2B cruise (from 1/28 - 2/11/2024) on this ship because I liked the itinerary and the ports would be new for me. This review is about the second week.
Ship:
• Given that the Caribbean ...
We have sailed Princess a lot years but in the past 6 years have chosen other cruise lines. We wanted to try Princess again and I am not sure we made the right decision. They push keeping your hands clean, but there are very few soap dispensers on board. When I asked for one going into the dining room, I was told to go to the restroom. Nothing at the entrance to the casino, so after playing ...
I decided to do this 14 day cruise with my family from Fort Lauderdale stopping at 8 ports. Ship was nice, Onboarding was great. Room service was ok. The restaurant dining was quite good. However, the buffet was absolutely horrendous. Almost every day, the menu was limited and boring. Food looked recycled... dry or overcooked, unappetizing, bad smell. Fruits were sour or tasted rotten... melon ...
Probably will be our last cruise on Princess.
Though they seem to be the least expensive, I’m not sure if the savings is worth the experience.
Cons:
The 3 MDRs are low ceiling and small with very tight seating.
Several dining room reservations were changed via the app without our consent.
The tables for two in the MDR are less than one foot between other tables.
MDR ...
We chose this cruise to celebrate a wedding anniversary and for the first time in over 50 years, celebrate Christmas at sea. We chose the CP because we'd been on this ship many years ago, and remembered it with great fondness. Sadly, the old girl is showing her age in many ways...
CABINS: the cabins need to be updated, the bland colours and furnishings are aged and any repairs have been ...
This was my first cruise in years and I had high hopes for an adventure to remember, with 4 ports and a lot to see. When the high winds prevented our docking at Princess Cay, I was still optimistic. We took advantage if the onboard activities and kept busy-- and well fed-- for the extra sea day. We made it into San Juan and the weather was good, but the excursion to the fort had a lot more ...
The good:
- Our room was ready when we got on the ship.
- The food was excellent. The beef tenderloin was truly the best we have had on any ship.
- We had anytime dining and arrived between 5:15 - 5:30 p.m. The maximum we had to wait was 10 minutes for a table.
- Puerto Rico was one of our ports and we loved it. We did the Princess walking tour. Our guide used a microphone and we ...
The entertainment was good with a variety. Not lot of options for the mid aged crowd unless you wanted to go to the sky club at 11p. Food was average, I was not used to having to book each dinner meal ahead of time so ended up dining late when there was a free table. Princess Cays was beautiful! The medallions were convenient with hands free door unlock. There were many frequent sailors on this ...
