We chose this cruise as it was doing 2 weeks without a trip back to Florida, it wasn't a bad choice. We travelled as a group of 9 which we do every couple of years.
I know the Emerald Princess is one of the older ships and it is showing its age but we had a nice time.
Cabin
We had an inside cabin on Baja deck and was looked after by Christina. I think we had 1 of the refurbished cabins ...
This was our first Princess Cruise, a 14 day Circle the Caribbean from Ft. Lauderdale in March, 2023. The Emerald Princess and crew were great. But Princess Cruises is so poor and irresponsible with their accounting we won't be sailing with Princess again. Just too risky and they have proven untrustworthy with out money even when they put things in writing. (Details below).
The cruise itself ...
This was a trip for a family group of nine, brothers and sisters and partners in 50's / 60's.
Previously, we have sailed with both P&O and more with Celebrity. All past experience was pre-covid.
Generally, we enjoyed the trip, which isn't exactly surprising as it's no hardship being on a cruise around the Caribbean. However, this, our first experience of Princess, left a little to be ...
We chose this cruise because it was a fairly new ship and we liked the itinerary. I had not been on a Princess cruise since 2013 and it was a little disappointing to me. First of all the shows were few and far between. Some of the other talent on the ship was not good. The cruise director was great and kept things running smoothly.
We were unable to dock in Aruba and Bonaire , but enjoyed ...
We just returned from a wk long eastern Caribbean on Sky Feb 10th sailing. This ship was a full ship and from what we heard was over sold.
We sailed on the Ruby Princess last year and loved our holiday so much that we convinced our family to sail with Princess vs Celebrity to celebrate my dads big birthday. One couple has sailed with Celebrity. One couple were new to cruising and we have only ...
This was a B-B and is our 16 Princess cruise since the “Pause” (we were also on the Sky for three weeks in November/December 2022). We have also taken four other cruises on other cruise lines post pandemic and many more prior to the pandemic.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating, but still not enough of them. This is causing the staff to be spread thinly across all departments, ...
My wife and I have taken 35 plus cruises, the majority of which have been in the Caribbean region, but several in Europe too. We are Seniors who usually choose to travel alone. This was only our second cruise with Princess. The majority of our cruises have been with Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, and HAL. We took two back to back cruises, starting on 2/18/2023 for the Western and Eastern ...
We have had great enjoyment over the years with many Princess ships, but the cost-cutting has struck with a broad, sharp blade.
The ship and staff are fine, totally clean, no concerns. However morning breakfast at your cabin has actually been so reduced, one item is "Muffin with catsup". This breakfast formerly was a very nice option with a full breakfast menu. Not any more.
Dining room - ...
For background my wife and I have been on 19 cruises (127 nights) two previously with Princess. We always have a good time when cruising and may select the new Sun Princess after the launch bugs are worked out. Stayed in an inside cabin B240 and we have only done inside once before. Quiet but sure missed the balcony and ocean view.
The good: Beautiful ship, nice clientele, good dining room ...
Over the years we had always traveled on Princess and was always satisfied , however this cruise was a huge disappointment. The ship itself was lovely but the rooms and balconies are much smaller. The amenities are gone completely but the prices are higher. In the suites there was always champagne waiting on your arrival…..no more. Not even a pen or pad in the room.
The dining rooms are like a ...
