The crew is the #1 reason to sail on the Caribbean Princess

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Caribbean Princess

I cruise solely with Princess, and this is my 5th time on the Caribbean Princess, first time in 2005. I know this ship and the brand. If I don’t say this enough- the crew is the #1 reason to sail with Princess. Embarkment: When you arrive at Port Everglades be prepared to see a line. It move quickly. Tip: Get the medallion in the mail, wear it to the embarkment, and ask where the green ...

TEN DAYS ON THE RUBY PRINCESS

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Ruby Princess

First, the ship. She's a grand dame with elegance and charm, and the Medallion electronics are awesome. Wearing the little coin makes you recognizable to your stateroom door, which unlocks as you approach. It also tells your traveling party as well as servers where on the ship you are, and can even draw a map to find you. There are many more Medallion features which you can look up on your ...

14 days, 8 Islands, 4 days at sea. A perfect cruise

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Emerald Princess

What I loved about this cruise was that almost everybody on the ship were 55 or older. No kids and families took this two-week cruise in December. The weather was great. The ship atmosphere was relaxed. Our staff were friendly and attentive. I engaged with most people I came in contact with, asking them how many cruises they have been on, and of course where are they from. (Most everybody ...

Perception only few hundred on board when there were 2,000 passengers - smaller ship great for older people

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Coral Princess

We took the 14 day New Zealand cruise from Brisbane on 4th December 2023. Worrying about reviews written about the age and state of the ship we were pleasantly surprised. As it is older the corridors are wider, and we weren’t packed in like sardines. The carpet is just like that in the RSL clubs. We took Aloha mini suite. Whilst it not as wide as others the rounded balcony has the best views by ...

Great ship, limited allergen menu

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Caribbean Princess

I’ve sailed this vessel a few times and always been happy. I’m allergic to gluten, Celiac disease, and until this cruise they always accomadted well. The most recent selection of gluten free items was quite limited and staff was poorly trained in dealing with food allergies. I’m going again in May and hope to see some improvement. A great ship other than this issue. I did notice that the pool was ...

Maybe it was an off week?

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Regal Princess

My first thoughts were: 'Hey, maybe they're having an off week? Then I grudgingly and reluctantly agreed that it was more than just one or two or three things that were off. That being said, boarding in Galveston got started off late, with standing in line for 48 minutes outside before making into the building. This was accompanied by hollering porters, rental security agents, and third party ...

Amazing Customer Service

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Sapphire Princess

We joined friends and my daughter for this "once in a lifetime" Antarctic cruise. The big takeaway was the outstanding customer service throughout the ship in every venue: room steward, dining room hosts and stewards, Guest Services, photo shop, and internet booth. Across the board the staff at each of these went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and delightful cruise! The Captain did a ...

Worst cruise ever

Review for a Asia Cruise on Diamond Princess

This was our 11th cruise and 2nd princess (1st experience was Emerald Princess in September 2022 and was excellent) but was the worst ever. 1. Waiting for 2 hour at Yokohama even everything done online but to pick up the medallion. Suggest to narrow the check in window to minimize overcrowding passenger during peak hours. 2. Water shuttle horrible. Some disrespectful passengers picked up ...

Good Itinerary, average food and entertainment...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Ruby Princess

User Avatar

We enjoyed the itinerary or ports of call visited. Cartagena and going through the Panama Canal were the highlights. I would suggest that the descriptions of the excursions include how long the bus rides are. We spent 3 hours in a bus going to the Rain forest in Costa Rica and saw only birds and lizards/frogs at the destination. We did see monkeys and a sloth during the ride there. The ...

Nightmare at sea

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Ruby Princess

User Avatar

10+ Cruises • Age 70s

I have cruised many times, and this was my first and LAST Princess cruise. The ship was filthy, mold everywhere including in the toilet in our cabin. Service was non-existent, food was mediocre on a good day. Reservations were not honored, so we mainly ate pizza and soft serve ice cream for 10 days. Buckets were in hallways catching drips, auto doors slammed open and shut all day. Talent was ...
