We took this cruise from Rome to Ft Lauderdale because it was a great price and I liked the stops. I wanted to see Barcelona. I was on my bucket list. It was quick and easy to get on but very slow getting off. I walk with a cane so I took a wheelchair which sped up the process. Our cabin E623 was obstructed view. It had plenty of space for 2.womens clothes. We took anytime dining and ...

I have been sailing on Princess for my last 8 cruises. I have found a cruise line that is comfortable for me. This TA from Rome to Fort Lauderdale was chosen for the dates and for a Rome departure. Prior to sailing, I had read complaints re the Crown Princess as to bad entertainment, food and ship condition .Cruise director, Angela was always present and provided lots of fun activities, ...

Always wanted to cross an ocean as an immigrant to Canada. This was our first cross Atlantic cruise, our first on Princess and the first ever cruise for my partner. The boat was very good. We had a great time on this trip. We were in Europe for 2 weeks before embarking visiting Paris and Rome each for a week. The staff was great. The restaurants were to our taste quite too similar. ...

If you are desire a long rest, a Transatlantic Cruise is an ideal escape. This was our first, taken on the recommendation of friends. The staff, food and service were excellent. There was an interesting speaker each morning for one half hour, no guest speakers for the remainder of the day. There should have been another speaker for an afternoon session, not just staff from the spa talking on ...

We have wanted to do a repositioning cruise for a long time. Celebrity was sold out so this was our second choice and turned out to be second class or worse in the food catagory. One of my main cruise purposes is to partake of the great variety of food offerings usually available at formal dining and in the buffet. The Crown Princess food was without a doubt the poorest quality of any of the ...

We wanted a transatlantic cruise, and Rome was an attractive port in which to spend pre-cruise days. Genoa, Toulon, Barcelona, and especially Azores, were all interesting ports. Genoa was dropped, and replaced with Livorno about 12 days before sailing. We couldn’t stop in Toulon due to rough seas and high winds. Barcelona and Azores were wonderful, but at least 4 of our 9 sea days were very ...

We were a group of six friends and loved being together on this cruise. I love Rome, great city to start in for a Mediterranean cruise. Itinerary was great visiting Barcelona, Florence and Ponta Delgada in the Azore Islands. The entertainment was superb on this cruise and I come from the event and party business and love theatre and live entertainment and loved the production shows especially. ...

Selected this cruise because of the date and location. We were very interested in seeing the various stops as we had not yet been to some of them. Getting on the ship was really easy and we had our card and boarded without waiting in any lines. The priority boarding arranged by the agency we used was great. Unfortunately, the stop in Florence was a disaster. We paid $110 each to Princess ...

Disappointment - missed ports, boring activities and poor sanitizing

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Crown Princess

We sailed with Princess eight times in the past but this was the worst. The biggest problem was Princess does not enforce hand sanitizing of passengers in areas serving food like the buffet. Passengers were grabbing food with their hands as they tried to figure out how to work the tongs, needless to say many got sick on the cruise including me, my wife and the other couple we traveled with. ...
