We have been on this ship several times in the last couple years. The ship is ok-not our favorite. Had some great crew members take care of this time on the ship. The crew in Crooner's Bar was awesome(especially Vish). Carmine in Vines was awesome as well. We only did one tour with the ship. Most of the time we like to explore ports on our own. The entertainment was good --some just ok but some ...
We were going to Patagonia, but we decided Uruguay would work better.
Embarkation was problematic. We were robbed in security in Buenos Aires. Why have security cameras if the face is unclear? We got to see the film of the guy stealing our stuff. Why didn't all of our stuff come through the conveyor belt?
The cabin was comfortable; the service and amenities were good; the food was lovely, ...

Hi NatalieS, we're sorry to hear about your embarkation incident. We are glad that the rest of your trip was enjoyable, and we hope to see you onboard again soon!...
We chose this cruise on the basis of itinerary and were not disappointed. We embarked in Buenos Aires and disembarked in Port Everglades. Both went very smoothly and quickly but we have Global Entry with let us pass the mass of people waiting to clear immigration. Be sure to have your card as they don't have a fingerprint reader. We ate every dinner and most breakfasts in the MDR and found the ...

This was our 16th cruise, 9th on Princess. We sailed from Valparaiso, Chile around Cape Horn to Buenos Aires, Argentina. We flew into Santiago Chile and spent one night in Valparaiso before boarding the ship. Embarkation was very chaotic. A strike by port workers that day prevented taxis from entering the port so we were dropped at stop where a shuttle bus would take us into the port, which ...

embarking/disembarking -- chaotic in Valparaiso but very smooth in Buenos Aires
ports - we very much enjoyed the three days we spent in Valparaiso pre-cruise
-punta arenas and ushuaia tours were fine, but scenery was old hat to those of us lucky enough to live in forested areas
-falkland visit to bluff farm was very enjoyable -- no long drives, lovely tea included, ...
We are partial to Princess and chose this cruise because it included the Falkland Islands as well as rounding Cape Horn. The highlight was seeing Magellenic, Gentoo and King penguins in Puerto Madryn and on the Falklands. The weather was fabulous around Cape Horn. Amalia Glacier was a disappointment after having seen more spectacular glaciers in Alaska. The tendering was not well organized, ...
We took this cruise as part of a longer holiday in South America. Frankly I am amazed at the two earlier whinging reviews published but then again, regular cruisers will recognise the types who never seem satisfied.
It must be remembered that this cruise was priced mid-range and therefore one cannot expect five-seven star crushing.
Nonetheless we had a great time.
Embarcation and ...
Ship was comfortable and was did not feel overcrowded. The trip was chosen as an adventure to celebrate a 60th birthday and also to visit the falklands, stayed in Buenos Aries for a few days beforehand, joining the ship was fairly painless and got on early. Staff were very friendly and helpful, mini suite was comfortable although starting to look is age and could do with some renovation which I ...
I was in a party of four people in their early-mid sixties. We all have a lot of travel miles behind us, both on land and on cruise ships. We decided to take this trip for the itinerary and historic value. My wife and I stayed for two days in Santiago at Hotel Ismael 312 in the Bellas Artes barrio. It was a perfect choice of location and hotel. We then took the drive to Valparaiso for one night and ...
Overall we are very pleased with the way things went. We were apprehensive about what we'd face upon arriving in Lima. All went very well. The Delta flights from home and connection for ATL-LIM went well. We delighted in seeing the lights of the canal across the Panamanian isthmus. In Lima, as we exited the bureaucratic entry containment area into the public reception area, there at 1:15am was a ...
