A cruise is what you make of it
"Service slow even though we all chose fast pace service ( I don’t think they pay attention to preferences on the app) there were more than one occasion that the table settings were missing cutlery or water glasses.Didn’t bother complaining, I think they were just done being last cruise before dry dock...."Read More

A Cheapskate Tries a Repositioning Cruise

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Crown Princess

What year is this cruise? People are eating rice pilaf and drinking Blue Hawaiians, the comedian’s routine is shockingly racist, and the big musical revue is a nearly all-white salute to Motown. I halfway expected to run into cigarette machine. I am old, but Gen Z: I was appalled on your behalf. The fact that the buffet has a vegan section and there’s a nightly LGBTQ meet-up reminded me it was ...

This was our first cruise on Princess. We have sailed with Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity before. We were very excited to go on an 11 day Alaska Cruise! Let's start with the Pros. Main dining room food was excellent, drinks and specialty cocktails were delicious and the itinerary was wonderful. Big production shows were outstanding and I was able to perform the last night in the Voice ...

We had sailed on 10+ high-mid-low end cruises, picked the Crown Princess 11 nights sailing to Alaska last minute sailing under my mom's request. This was our 3rd time doing the Alaska itinerary, but my mom wanted something longer than 7 days, return Vancouver and we were familiar with Princess standard from the Japan and New England East Coast itinerary a few years back. Embarkation was a ...

This was a 10 day out of Vancouver, and the price was excellent. Two stops we had not seen before so this was another reason for this specific cruise. Vancouver is a little hard to get into and out of. You most likely will spend a night even if you live close. The cruise port is easy to find and there is even the Public transit that stops right there. Boarding the ship is confusing, ask for help, ...

this was a double first for both of us, first time on princess and first alaska cruise. it was our 22nd cruise so stranger to that, but had never done princess because they were always a bit more money and the clientele older. we're early 50s now and absolute steal came along for this cruise, so we jumped on it. the reason we'd not done alaska before is cost. it's always been expensive and the ...

Lovely ship and crew

We departed from Vancouver, and checked in at the cruise terminal which was confusing and exhausting. The staff at the terminal seemed to lack sufficient knowledge to direct passengers to the ship. Weather was chilly and drizzly out of Vancouver and into Juneau. After Juneau, it got sunny and warm for the rest of the 10 days! We wanted to see a new port called Icy Strait Point and hoped ...

We chose this cruise as it was offered to us at a deeply discounted price. We live in Tennessee. We flew to Seattle and stayed the night at the Crown Plaza near the airport. The next morning we went back to the airport and took a Princess bus to Vancouver. Took us about an hour to get on ship from the time we got off the bus. Our room was ready and our luggage arrived shortly after. Room ...

My first Princess cruise in 12 years

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Crown Princess

I was on Diamond Princess about 12 years ago in Australia/NZ and was completely unimpressed - I thought the food and service was awful overall. Now that I'm retired and traveling more, I wanted to give Princess another try. I've changed a lot in 12 years, and I thought Princess might be different too. I'm very glad I did. I realize the review below spends more time on negatives, but I wanted to ...

Alaska cruise excursions well worth the money.

The Alaska cruise was amazing! The excursions that Crown Princess offered were well worth the money. For example, we went right up to the glazier and was amazed out how beautiful and large it was and we also took another boat tour and were able to see killer whales, gray whales, sea otters and sea lions. Wow! That was an incredible experience! The brown bear sanctuary was an eye opener along with ...
