This was our first ever cruise. We wanted a short cruise to see if we liked cruising at all and if we would get seasick. It was..."Read More
I chose this cruise last Fall because of the ports, length of time in port, and the sailing date. I had sailed on the Crown Princess in 2019 and was happy with that experience.
By the time we sailed much had changed. The Coronavirus was escalating slowly when we left Port Everglades so our major change was skipping Princess Cays and a revision to our itinerary.
As far as the crew and ...
Cruising with my friends, all 65+ I wanted a warm Caribbean destination to escape winter. Due to weather and an engine problem that was known before sailing, we skipped 3 islands out of 5. Princess was nice and gave us credit for future sailings. No complaints there.
The food was mostly good to very good. Desserts were disappointing in the buffet. At dinner, they were a little better. ...
Crown Princess is a beautiful ship, but not beautifully designed, it is all very bland in colors and finishes. One area looks like every other area. Nothing unique or memorable.
Cold, cold, cold ship.... cold in your state room, cold in the restaurant, cold in the common areas of the ship. Even with the 2 room thermostat’s set on high heat, the room remained extremely cold. It is a miserable ...
We selected this cruise because of its itinerary and because we have enjoyed sailing with Princess before. We booked a Penthouse Aft Suite (C728), partly for the extra space and partly for the added suite perks. We are still fairly new to cruising (this was our 5th), but this was our least favourite to date. In summary, we liked the Crown (smaller and less crowded), but it lacks some of the mod ...
Weeks before the cruise I spent hours setting up the Medallion Class and Ocean Ready applications on four cell phones so that my parents (in D514), my husband and I could communicate and utilize the newest technology during the cruise. The application never worked for either of my parents or my husband. I was only able to view the stateroom charges the first 3 days of the cruise and then nothing ...
I like the southern Islands, and the weather is great this time of year. The boarding was great, we went right on the ship at 11am. The Crown is a bit aged, and did wobble a bit, even though seas were not rough. I was not impressed with desserts on ship especially at lunch buffet. A sheet cake or brownie would have been far better than what they were serving. I was not impressed with having to ...
We did have 2 balcony cabins on deck 10 Caribe.
Embarkation was swift and without a problem.
The cabins, what to say about the cabins. The wear and tear is visible all over. The floors of the balconies were full of rust, paint spatters all over.
Modern travelers carry with them a multitude of electric equipment, like phones and tablets. There is no way to charge them.
There are 2 ...
We enjoyed a great 10-night cruise on the Crown Princess to the Eastern Caribbean. There were three couples travelling together (3 sisters + husbands). We had Club Class minisuites, deck 9, rooms D421, D423, D425. The rooms were near the stairs and elevators, but there was no noise or additional commotion associated with the location.
Our airport transfer to the ship had an inordinate wait ...
My fiancèe and I love to cruise. We have cruised with Carnival and Norwegian. Now we saw this awesome itinerary that featured places we've never been from top to bottom. Now we get to the check in point. The old man was rude and grumpy I asked a question and he summoned up his most bitter NO that he could find within. We looked at each other and said nothing because we were at the final stop ...
