Regal Princess Baltic Sea Cruise

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Regal Princess

Picked this cruse experience due to a special Travelzoo deal that included flight, $85 onboard credit, $58 special dining credit and one bottle of red wine. Itinerary - wonderful, all the ports were worth visited again. Dining - food was not great, compared to the Celebrity cruise that I took before. In general the sit down dinner dishes ( especially fish) were not prepared well and not ...

Baltic Cruise including St Petersburg

We chose this cruise based on the itinerary. We had not been to the Baltic and have always wanted to visit Copenhagen, Stockholm, and St Petersburg. We were not disappointed with the ports of call. St Petersburg in particular was amazing. Having visited many of Europe's great palaces and parks, we were blown away with the Peterhof and Katherine's Palace. We were excited to try a new class ...

Good but not great

This was my first cruise in 30 years so I qualify as a newbie. My experience is colored by my conclusion huge ships are not my style. That said - the good and bad. Good - entertainment was very good. Enjoyed all the shows. Ship is pretty and public areas were clean and glitzy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Neutral - food was good but I never had a meal where I said WOW. Our room was OK but ...

Too big a ship for me!

Not one of my best Princess Cruises. The staff try sooo hard ... but VERY obvious they are EXTREMELY busy - morale seemed to be low - in my opinion. We chose this Baltic Cruise as it included Oslo - don’t know why they bothered - too short a time in port! Would have liked more time in Tallinn which I think is an absolute GEM! Stockholm, Helsinki, Berlin, St Petersburg = ...

Great itinerary

Chose this cruise because of the ports of call. Had cruised with Princess in the past and had a better experience. The food is quite lacking and anything close to gourmet. Even the food in the steak house was of poor quality. The entertainment was lacking. No staff in the theater to ensure that passengers were not standing in the aisles. This would block the view of others. Cruise director lacks ...

Poor customer service after moving our 2 cabins apart

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Regal Princess

A lot of good aspects were offset by them moving 1 of our rooms. We reserved 2 rooms that were close together and we specified that we did not want upgrades and wanted our rooms together. They did not notify us that they moved one room to th eopposite end of the boat. When we identified the error their response was that we signed an agreement stating they had the right to move us at their whim. ...

Lovely ship, good itinerary, but restaurant badly organised and crew unfriendly.

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, it didn't disappoint. We loved the ship, the decor of the public spaces was very good. The food in the 'Anytime Dining' restaurant was good although the service was dismal, out of 11 nights we were sent away with a 'beeper' and had to wait anything up to 45 minutes. We were so frustrated, that on two occasions we gave the beeper back and went to ...

Great Ports & Excursions, but Onboard needs improvement

We're Platinum level cruisers with Princess. Middle aged married couple. Chose this cruise mostly for it's destinations and the Regal Princess itself. 11 nights around the Baltic. On the plus side, the ports and the 3 Princess excursions we booked were great! Copenhagen, Oslo, Warnemunde/Wismar, Germany, Tallinn, Estonia, St. Petersburg (!!), Helsinki, Stockholm, back to Copenhagen. All had ...

Very disappointing

Chose this cruise for the places it calls at. Shame that the ship is such a disappointment. The food is far below average. The cabin and staff is great but in arrival the stateroom was not clean. The floor hadn’t been vacuumed even though the guy said it had. We found a sock that previous occupant had left on the floor. The restaurants don’t cope with the amount of people and the buffet is a ...

Regal Princess - Too Much of a Good Thing?

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Regal Princess

We chose the Regal Princess because of the itinerary which included visits to Northern European cities we had not visited before. We had a 2-day pre-stay in Copenhagen before boarding the ship. This is the largest cruise ship we have ever been aboard. This was our 11th cruise and we have been on most of the other cruise ship lines, including Holland America, Celebrity, Cunard and Royal ...
