Elevators were a problem, customer service desk tucked away, have to go up to 7 to get to 6. Oh, you went to 5 in order to get to 6, can't do that either. Asked for some music to be played at the teas, told the musicians were too busy doing other things. Cruise line is in your face selling stuff. You once went to the stores on the ship, now they come to you with stands in the middle of walk ...
Good Value at price for relocation cruise. However, service average and inconsistent. Certainly a physically nice ship. Food can be called average at best. Very seldom above warm!! Disappointing.
Princess used to have best trained staff, but last 2 years has gone down by at least half. Change in management?? I know service can vary depending on ship, but seems to be the norm at this point. ...
This was our third time cruising on Regal Princess, and the worst experience overall on Princess. It was a repositioning/transatlantic cruise, the sixth such cruise we’ve done...so we have plenty of experience doing this type of cruise, as well as experience with this ship.
I’d booked a balcony guarantee, and soon after was notified that the upgrade fairy was looking out for us...providing a ...
Baltic was great seeing Russia was very busy and could have used 3 nights there. Too much to get in with only 2 nights on the Regal Princess. We have used Princess since the original Regal 25 years ago. I admit they had a large selection of food especially catering to the Asians, but quality of food like steak even in the dining room were very poor.
Considerable confusion and seating ...
Chose this cruise because of the ports. Didn't need a visa for St Petersburg Russia which we were happy about. The Regal is a newer ship & the largest one we've been on. The buffet was huge & it was hard to find where you were sitting.
We were midship with an angled balcony which we loved.(Baja 409) We gave this review a 3 because of our stateroom. When we booked this cruise it showed our room ...
I have always wanted to go to St. Petersburg, Russia. For me growing up in dance and knowing the extent of training the Russian ballet dancers receive, this was a motivation for my trip to Russia. However, being on the beautiful Regal Princess was an amazing experience in itself. If I had a slight dissatisfaction, it was dissolved by all the positive things that went on. Starting from our ...
This line looked like the best fit for us, and the ports were mostyly new to us.
We chose a mini-suite because I'm 6' and I like a little room. This was a good call. We were able to unpack and hang things up, and relax when necessary. The bed was superb.
Deck 14 starboard just aft of midships, and we only occasionally felt slight judders, even on the night with a Force 7 near-gale. No ...
This cruise covered many Baltic ports of call. It was very busy and very educational. We used a company called TJ Travel for tours to Berlin and two day tour of St Petersburg. I cannot speak highly enough about this company. The groups were small and the the guides top notch. Their rates were also less than those offered by the ship.
Food on the ship was nothing special. Several meals ...
Chose this cruise for dates, itinerary and value. Regal Princess is beautifully appointed. Mini suite was large and comfortable, but noisy. Very international passenger list made for cross cultural opportunities. Sold out cruise resulted in some very crowded breakfasts. Stage shows were disappointing, other musical entertainment was excellent. Although I missed having a true Piano Bar. Art ...
I always think of cruising as a relaxing vacation but this was anything but with seven countries in 11 days. We loved it! The ship is beautiful, entertainment ok and the food excellent. On at sea days we found lots to do including time at the spa. The weather was too cool for using the pool but OK for sitting in the sun enjoying the huge screen TV with concerts, movies and photos. Be sure ...
