Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Crown Princess

The food is uninspired. With a small number of offerings at the Horizon Buffet that changed only slightly from day to day. Food from venue to venue tasted pretty much the same. Except for one dinner at the Crab Shack. That was marvelous. And one dinner at Sabatini's. Sabatini's was excellent with superb attention and care from the waiter. The Salty Dog... pass on that. The worst hamburger at ...

My husband and I sailed on the Crown Princess from August 4 - 11. We've had five cruises on RCI and HAL but this was our first time on a Princess cruise. We've loved all five of our previous cruises but we won't be doing another Princess cruise. I'll list the pros and cons. Pros: -the beds and bedding were super comfy -the International Cafe had good salads and the pastries in the morning ...

Smelly and Cheap (Nickeled and Dimed at ever turn)

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Crown Princess

The destinations were great, more time at Messina and Crete would have made this portion of the trip outstanding (i.e. 10 to 12 hours at these ports would be ideal). 14 out of the 17 days we smelled sewage at various times on various decks while at sea, the other days were in ports. Passenger should not see bubbled up paint or rust anywhere where passengers can access, especially near the ...

Crown Princess needs work

My husband and I chose this cruise because we first took the Trans-Atlantic cruise from Fort Lauderdale to England. As long as we were in Europe we decided to take another cruise, a Mediterranean cruise. We traveled through England, Paris, ended up in Barcelona and embarked on the cruise there. We disembarked in Rome. The excursions were fine - the ship was not. There was a foul sewage smell ...

Disappointing

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Majestic Princess

Disappointing is the only way to describe this new ship, its layout is way behind the times and poor use of space. We were on board for 3 weeks and found the crew to be disinterested, not very energetic and there is a distinct lack of supervision. The food is not good particularly the buffet where food is prepared elsewhere and left to serve yourself was not hot, bland and repetitive. The ...

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ON A CRUISE !

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Royal Princess

I chose the Royal Princess based on the itinerary. I spent over a year planning for this 'once in a lifetime' trip with my 21 year old daughter. I am sad to say it certainly did NOT live up to our expectations. Primarily because of the lack of customer service, even downright rude, shipboard crew members. Maybe this is because they get guaranteed gratuities, there is absolutely ZERO incentive ...

New is not necessarily better

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Majestic Princess

Liked itinerary. Thought it would be a relaxing 21 day cruise (the way it was booked). Turned out to be three 7 day cruises with lots of transients. Menu was boring as it was repeated exactly every seven days. Upscale restaurants are more out in open than other Princess ships. Eliminated Italian restaurant. Replaced by Asian. Most common areas are profit centers with drinks etc. No private ...

Should have been much better.

As a first time cruiser I chose The Majestic because even though the experience was meant to be traditional, I had heard that the experience would be casual with many options in terms of dining and activities. The ship itself is amazing and spanking brand new with nice decor, albeit a little to beige and gold for my taste. everything was clean and freshly painted and, very impressive ...

Faulty Towers Princess

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Royal Princess

We chose this ship because of the itinerary, however this was changed, and I understand that Turkey was taken off, but why Malta? Also several destinations were duplicated to make up the 21 day itinerary. However, at one destination our departure time was changed by 1 hour at little or no notice, which was fine in you had booked an expensive Princess tour, however for those who did not, there ...

The Royal Princess is a beautiful ship – too large for our tastes but lovely all the same. Our accessible stateroom was large, well-appointed and even the balcony was wheelchair accessible. Our steward was genuinely friendly and kept the stateroom spotless, but that is pretty much the last thing I have good to say about our cruise. The food in the dining rooms was for the most part inedible – ...
