New Ship but Disappointing Cruise

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Majestic Princess

We booked this cruise in July, 2016. It was the week and route we wanted and I read that it was a new ship. We have sailed on a brand new ship before and loved it, so this sounded perfect. Unfortunately, nowhere in the literature back then did it say anything about this ship being designed for the Asian market. The changes made on this new ship did not make it as enjoyable as previous Princess ...

We boarded in Barcelona great city. Embarkation easy. We liked the ports this cruise offered and being a new ship were so excited to sail on her, We were on the Majestic Princess for 35 nights Barcelona to Singapore for our trip of a lifetime. The ship herself is beautiful and new but not a ship for entertaining her travellers. The Piazza was always busy for line dancing and ballroom lessons it ...

Smelled Like a New Car

Review for a Asia Cruise on Majestic Princess

The Majestic Princess was beautiful. It was so shiny and new and smelled like a new car. We loved the décor and the newness of the ship. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. There were plenty of elevators and the staff was wonderful. The cruise was quieter that most that I have been on perhaps because there was such a mix of people. Many Chinese and many Australians. There was very ...

Grande Mediterranean 21 days 17 ports

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Royal Princess

We choose this cruise because of the less travelled month and the ports of call. Spent a few days in Barcellona before embarkation and it was wonderful. We stayed at hotel Espana in the heart of the city. It was walking distance to shopping, pastry shops, open markets and the metro. Took the metro to Park Guel and La Familia Sagrada. It was easy, fun and we felt safe. Embarkation was smooth ...

Nice people but greedy policies

Chose the cruise for the itinerary and the price. Good value for 11 nights. Food generally very good, staff exceptionally polite and friendly. The stewards are especially good; the rooms are cleaned meticulously and kept fresh always. On the other hand, the line could save money and still offer value by reducing waste-- instead of charging for every soda and bottle of water and cramming too ...

Careful when booking Princess EZ Air

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Royal Princess

Booked this cruise because of the itinerary, number of sea days, & total number of days (28). Since the 2nd leg was booked later, we had to change cabins which wasn't a big deal. Although the ship is bigger, I felt the public rooms (especially the theatre) were not adequate for the number of people on the ship. Dining Room Service was very good as was the cabin service. However, if you book your ...

The ship was clean and well organized for services. our cabin steward was exceptional...Bayu. dining room food and service was excellent. Horizon Court food was somewhat bland and sometimes overcooked. Entertainment was first class all the time!!! Cruise director was very good and kept things going on time and selected excellent entertainment...every night better than the last or at least ...

This is a very worthwhile cruise to take for a broad brush visit to the major cities of Mediterranean countries. This cruise is port-intensive with 7 ports over 11 days so you'd be wise to choose the most attractive sites for shore trips and planning is key to suite your best interests, i.e. shopping, sceneries, cultural sites, churches, etc. Advanced research before trip helps knowing what to ...

We chose this cruise because the dates fit into our itinerary and we have sailed previously with Princess. The ports we visited were all pretty good although we cannot comment on Marseilles as we didn't hop off the ship there. The original itinerary included Turkey but was cancelled with Montenegro added as a replacement. Initially we were disappointed but it turned out that Montenegro was the ...

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ON A CRUISE !

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Royal Princess

I chose the Royal Princess based on the itinerary. I spent over a year planning for this 'once in a lifetime' trip with my 21 year old daughter. I am sad to say it certainly did NOT live up to our expectations. Primarily because of the lack of customer service, even downright rude, shipboard crew members. Maybe this is because they get guaranteed gratuities, there is absolutely ZERO incentive ...
