Two of the ports (Haugesund and Lerwick) were missed due to high winds. But our purpose for the cruise was to visit Iceland, and those ports were great! Food was average and service was great. Arriving without luggage from flight was annoying but the ship tried hard to accommodate our situation. The transition from COVID-intensive to normal cruising is happening slowly and still impacts ...
To cruise to Norway and Iceland. Embarkation was terrible. Do to delays on arrival. We were embarking while the disembarkation was taking place at the same time. We waited in a taxi over 2 hours in a que before getting on the ship. Princess did not notify for the second time of a delay until 3:30 pm. We had priority boarding which never took place.
The WiFi was terrible. Paid a premium price ...
I have actually sailed on the Sky Princess twice this year, and waited until after the second cruise to write a review. I wasn't sure if I was just getting a poor experience due to my first time being in the Easter holiday, or if it was just this particular ship! I've sailed with Princess several times over the years, and have always found them to be excellent in terms of service, food, ...
My wife and I have hither- to been loyal (Platinum level) Princess Cruisers and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience from both the UK and The USA. This ship is both comfortable and beautiful - the biggest we have sailed on in over 15 years cruising. Embarkation was relatively smooth at 12.30pm but we missed lunch in the Club Class Dining Room as nobody told us it was open on boarding and we ...
The ship has returned to full capacity without the trained crew to cope.
Many guests reported major problems in securing a table in the restaurants on the first night.
Room service is a joke, If you like cold coffee delivered over an hour after you ordered it, then this is a perfect service. If you want hot food or drink then forget it.
The medallion app is hit and miss. If you order ...
Ship and staff fantastic
Food excellent
Room excellent
However -
Not sure what "PLANK" runs customer services.
I had the broadband, tips, drinks etc package x 2, although my partner doesn't drink and I only had a few wines each evening. That's an extra -

We chose this cruise to get from Florida to Europe. We knew the weather would be lousy and it lived up to expectations. What we didn’t expect was so much Covid on board that the masking rules were reimposed after our second port. As a result we avoided public areas and dining rooms thereafter.
The food in the main dining room was ok. The food in the cafeteria was made of extremely cheap ...
We thought Iceland would be impressive. It was. I wanted to see Cork. It was canceled. Ship was old, service was haphazard, crew didn’t understand or ignored requests.
Club Class dining was worth it, but didn’t like condescending attitude of wait staff, their inability to pronounce names, their insincere fawning. I am not “Lady” anyone; don’t call me that.
Pepper routine ridiculous, should ...
I spent a total of 34 days on this ship. 18 transatlantic to Canada, 3 stops in Iceland, Scotland, and England, then 16 days in Norway. I am an Elite Captain’s Circle Member on Princess with 27 cruises and over 250 days cruising with them. I have sailed on the Island Princess on 3 other occasions.
It is old and many decks had mold or sewage smells. I was in a port side extended balcony on ...
Having already cruised with Princess pre-Covid we felt confident that they would provide the same excellent service. Sadly we disembarked feeling very disappointed. Embarkation was a nightmare although apparently not the fault of Princess. We were kept in a holding car park for an hour and a half. Once onboard the deluxe balcony cabin was wonderful with the most comfortable bed I have ever ...
