I enjoyed my cruise even though the excursions were very expensive.
Since arriving home I have tried to contact Princess three times to ask them to refund the money they took from my account for a bar bill that is incorrect because I did not order any drinks. Their online form does not work and when I rang them I was told to call the USA. I think this is a shocking way to treat customers. ...
Travelled as a family of 3 including a 12yr old, we are platinum members with Princess and have completed over 15 cruises as a family with various different cruise lines.
CPS Parking at Southampton port was very quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend.
The embarkation process was effortless and we was through security and on the ship in no time at all, less than 45 mins.
The ...
We booked this as a "drop and go" back to backs more for the destinations than the ship. Some places in Norway we had been to before. We were very limited in cabins available and were in an ocean view cabin. It was acceptable once we got the room properly cleaned, aired and supplied. The window needed a good clean and it was more like being in an inside cabin as window was so filthy with scum ...
I had a solo full suite S6, aft-facing. A decent enough cabin, in need of some cleaning. Like all Princess ships, overall service quality has fallen over the years. I've sailed some others (Majestic and Enchanted) that seem to have recovered post-COVID; this one has not. Overall service is uneven, some crew really care, while others are excited about how soon their contract ends. It's not ...
Chose cruise for itinerary ( it does not stop in Russia) and after cruise scheduling- so far service excellent, cabin horrible constant noise ( they moved us last night to port side), quite a bit of Horizon Court food very chewy Mexican, pork; fruit very fresh, good variety but question quality- does not seem to be quality level of Discovery, Regal, or Enchanted ships;casino is very small, ...
We booked the cruise on the strength of the itinerary, which held up very well apart from two key changes. The changes are based on the fact that one of the engines on the ship is not at full strength, so speed is limited. This meant we were quite late getting to Bergen (one of my bucket list ticks...) and we wouldn't be having an overnight in Reykjavic (something we had planned for to be able to ...
Great itinerary, 4 Norway ports and 4 Iceland ports. Even though weather predictions were not so good. It turned our great, no rain, winds do-able so ship made it to all the ports. Relatively clear skies so saw tops of all mountains, graciers and waterfalls. DW and I are elite with Princess so are very experience cruisers as well as sailed with other cruiselines. But the quality has gone ...
Embarkation was very efficient. From arriving at the terminal we were checked in and on board in about 40 minutes. We were given our medallion at check in.
The medallion worked very well and unblocked our cabin without fail every time we approached. The tv and information system was clunky at first but improved after we sailed .
Our cabin was lovely if a bit tired but was kept spotlessly ...
I initially chose this cruise because of Reykjavik and a possibility of a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Because of bad weather, the Itinerary changed and we cannot go to that port.
Ports visited in Iceland really had nothing much to see and do, felt like it was a waste of my time visiting the two ports in Iceland.
Dining room service and food is great however the Buffet is scary, many ...
We wanted a nice relaxing time with some wonderful scenery and we had a lot of our own excursions planned like whalewatching etc. Due to extreme weather three ports in Iceland were cancelled and it did spoil the trip. The other issue was that two of the ports that we did manage to get into in Norway were closed for the day, due to national holidays. Now the cruise line should be aware of this and ...
