Really enjoyable

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Royal Princess

There were 10 of us that cruised this time. This was our 3rd Princess cruise, this time from Sydney to Hobart-Port Arthur-Kangaroo Island. We had smooth sailing for the first half and lumpy seas with a swell for the second half. On the final leg we sailed through a meeting of three rain events the caused us to be late in getting into Sydney Harbour. The pilot boat couldn’t get out to ...

Thoroughly enjoyed 8 days on Royal Princess

Will definitely cruise on this ship again if we have the chance. Embarkation was a breeze we were on board within 30 minutes of port arrival. Disembarkation was also good also around 30 mins after joining cue. We have cruised with R.C, P&O, and Carnival previously and found this ship to be in most aspects a cut above. The decor is clearly more premium including the stateroom. Staff were ...

Nice ship, a bit dated

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Grand Princess

This is our 4th time on Grand Princess, and it is still a very nice ship, in spite of being their oldest. The Princess food experience remains very good, but they slip up in a few areas that would not have happened 5 years ago. Having also cruised with P&O and Cunard in the last 2 years, Princess are way ahead. Our cabin has the usual issues of an older ship, very poor ergonomics, and very ...

South Pacific Cruise

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Majestic Princess

I chose this cruise as I wanted to return to cruising after a long break with health issues and the pandemic. It offered an opportunity to revisit some ports which I hadn't seen for about half a century at a reasonable price. It was a good time to go, as it was outside school holidays, although the time of year meant that in the tropical locations visited there was a strong possibility of ...

A bit of an odd ship but still one of the best we've done

We've cruised to the Pacific before and we have cruised with pre-pandemic Princess so this will be both an honest and (hopefully) informed review. Overall I feel Majestic Princess hits its mark as a premium cruise line. There are some little oddities with the ship, primarily as a result of its designed for China past. I'll deal with those issues first. Yes it would be better with a wake pool; ...

13 Night Auckland to Auckland round trip in February 2024 travelling to Bay of Islands, Sydney, Milford Sound, Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington and Tauranga. Occupied The Napoli Suite on Deck 14 (Rivera) being an S4 Penthouse. The ship was in excellent outside condition - very well maintained, with plenty of deck staff attending to cleaning and ensuring towels were removed from vacated chairs ...

We chose this cruise as was in the tail end of the school holidays for us and it left from our hometown of Auckland and came back to Auckland. This was a joint cruise which already had people who had boarded in Sydney and who disembarked when we hit our second port of Sydney. Once there, another load of people embarked. The organisation of those of us in transit in Sydney was much better ...

We did a back to back cruise on Majestic Princess from 18th January to 10th February 2024. The first cruise was a 13 night cruise and sailed to Pacific Islands of Vanuatu, Fiji & New Caledonia. The second cruise sailed to Queensland. Both cruises started and ended in Sydney. We flew to Sydney from London Heathrow via Singapore with British Airways which was a very pleasant flight. We just ...

Cruise was good shame about some people

The cabin was very nice - no complaints. We went to all the inclusive restaurants and the food and service were great - absolutely no complaints. There was always something to cater for everyone and when you think of the number of meals they produce it was a well-oiled machine. The buffet catered really well for the number of people. The only time there were real queues were when the ...

Not as good as they were.

This is our second time on the Majestic. We had sailed on her in 2019. Cabin mini-suite. Bathroom was still tight but a real bath is nice option. Though the plugs aren’t the best for holding water, especially in the sink for shaving purposes. Balcony was very small for a mini suite, uncovered so no privacy from above. We knew about this though before boarding. Though water drips from deck ...
