The ship is a beautiful ship, that is until you look further. The buffet is crowded, the walkway is narrow. Public toilets are very small, it’s almost impossible for two people to pass each other. The food is good, the entertains excellent. However, the theatre is too small for the size of the ship. Cabins are comfortable.
Now we come to the main gripe. Lack of hygiene protocols. At no time in ...
We are a couple who joined two other couples chose this cruise because it started and ended in Auckland NZ. We have done around 20 cruises including three half world cruises over 30 years from Ponant to Paul Gaugin through Cunard, Sun Line, Carnival, P & O (UK), Princess and Celebrity.
At 3000 passengers it was the largest ship we had been on (our other cruises were all on 2000 or less ...
This was the worst travel experience of my life. It was our first time on a cruise and certainly the last with Grand Princess. This cruise is suitable for 60 year olds and above only. The cruise itself is extremely outdated! I wouldn’t even say it could pass as a family cruise. 1 of the 3 stops they made over the 2 weeks was an industrial area. We even did a tour and didn’t even see much at all. ...
I chose this cruise as I wanted to return to cruising after a long break with health issues and the pandemic. It offered an opportunity to revisit some ports which I hadn't seen for about half a century at a reasonable price. It was a good time to go, as it was outside school holidays, although the time of year meant that in the tropical locations visited there was a strong possibility of ...
This was our 10th cruise and the 7th one on Princess. We always wanted to visit the South Pacific but the long flights always stood in the way. We decided to just go for it and are so happy we did. This cruise was our 50th wedding anniversary cruise so we booked a full suite. The suite was worth every penny. Not just for the room, which was fabulous, but all the perks that come with being in a ...
We've cruised to the Pacific before and we have cruised with pre-pandemic Princess so this will be both an honest and (hopefully) informed review.
Overall I feel Majestic Princess hits its mark as a premium cruise line. There are some little oddities with the ship, primarily as a result of its designed for China past. I'll deal with those issues first. Yes it would be better with a wake pool; ...
Recently returned from our 13N Majestic Princess Sth Pacific cruise 10-23 Feb Sydney roundtrip. It was our first Princess cruise since 2017 & our 3rd cruise for the 23-24 season. I make some points:
- Embarking was very fast & we were soon on the ship after shuttle drop-off around noon, having a light lunch in the buffet before dropping our carry-on in our cabin.
- We had ...
Do not take the cruise to NZ starting and ending in Auckland. We just got back (the 2025 date is for next year obviously). We went 2024 February.
Got to the airport and Princess has organized a taxi. This was extremely awkward as the guy told us how poor he was a lot and we felt we needed to give him a tip ( this was our fault).
Embarkation started around 11am and was efficient.
The room ...
I would never recommend this cruise ship to anyone. We joined this cruise to celebrate our special wedding anniversary - this is our 7th cruise - but unfortunately its all about money and not passengers. Our towels in cabin were not changed for 6 days - apparently the laundry couldnt cope with daily changes. The cafes food was the same for 14 days, tables not cleared when passengers left - ...
13 Night Auckland to Auckland round trip in February 2024 travelling to Bay of Islands, Sydney, Milford Sound, Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington and Tauranga. Occupied The Napoli Suite on Deck 14 (Rivera) being an S4 Penthouse.
The ship was in excellent outside condition - very well maintained, with plenty of deck staff attending to cleaning and ensuring towels were removed from vacated chairs ...
