Pre cruise There is an Airport Shuttle from the Airport to Downtown Auckland for $14 one way. Pickup is outside Door Nine in the International Terminal and you pay the driver directly. The bus was a typical city-type bus and the driver announced which hotels were served at each stop. After 17 cruises this was our first cruise on Princess. Overall an impressive line and ship. The outside cabin we elected was spacious with an unusual twist of a large open closet across from the bathroom and parallel to the cabin door instead of being located just instead the cabin behind the open door. This was our first cruise with Princess and we loved it. We arrived a night before the cruise and stayed at Waldorf Celestion Apartments Hotel which was booked on Hotels.com for about $100 per night. In the email we received from Princess we were asked to arrive at the port after 2:00 p.m. We arrived shortly after that time by cab and were impressed with the service.
