It was our 50th wedding Aniversary.Boarded 6/2/2024 Singapore to Singapore through Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam. We were so disappointed with the lack of hygiene and infection control. There were no hand sanitizer in lobby were lifts were and the hand washing bays in the buffet area were not being used in the beginning. When Gastro came to staff attention on the 17/2/2024, things changed. All of a ...
Having done more than 20 cruises with Princess, I understood what their “loyalty program” meant and why we aspired to be Elite members. Today is so different, the speeches remain the same but nothing else. Gone are the precious internet minutes; discounts in the shops are only on full priced items; no special toiletries in the bathrooms; and reduced access to the Captain Circle rep on board. ...
A second world cruise this one to celebrate retirement and selling my business at 73. Compared to 2011 the list of changes makes for a ho-hum experience. The major is that Princess has gone back on their Loyalty Programme that I joined 15 years ago, The major is that elite was promised free internet and now have to pay. That cost me 1000 dollars additional, Perhaps I would have reluctantly ...
We have cruised many times on Princess and were looking forward to a much-needed rest and in my case a break. The balcony cabin was comfortable and turned out to be a godsend as we contracted Covid for the 1st time, in spite of having our vaccinations up to date, and had to isolate for 5 days. Anti-virals were available and dining room meals were delivered to our cabin, as well as our cabin being ...
We have just got of the sapphire after 12 nights sorry to say some of the passengers, were spitting in the pools, corridors and lifts i hope they take proper precautions before others embark the ship. Unfortunately very disappointing experience on ship. Passengers not sanitizing their hands in the Horrizon and crew not always reinforcing this.
Iterinary is great but the ship is in need of a ...
I will start by saying I know the Sapphire is an older ship but should it be tatty and basically uncared for. It was in for a refit 18 months ago but what did they do?
Plus I feel that the condition of the ship had rubbed off on some of the staff, especially the team on the customer service desk. They were in fact on one occasion confrontational. These members of the team are the face of ...
Was our 8th cruise. And maybe we're a bit over cruising - but the sparkle wasn't there for us. I think we've wised up a bit.. and we're also now 'all about the destinations' rather than the cruise. So maybe it's time to give cruising a miss unless for certain itineraries. In hindsight we should not have cruised this itinerary. Better to do it by land as would not cost you more (probably less). As ...

As a group of 9 people 4 young teens and 5 adults we chose this cruise to spend some relaxing time enjoying other countries.
One of our group has special dietary needs which we were told would be catered for. Thanks to the maitre d of the Savoy it was. Everywhere else it was a constant battle.
Boarding and disembarkation in Singapore was painless and well organised.
Although several ...
we had dinner in the Club Restaurant.
This turned out to be a complete disaster.
a) Started with prawns covered in tomato ketchup. Strange sauce for this type of starter.
b) Next came an “Onion Soup with Croutons”. Well this was a disgrace as no Head Chef would normally allow this dish to leave their kitchen.
The cheese topping was OK but under that it was full of soggy white bread ...
