The promenade deck on Sapphire Princess wraps all the way around the bow and has a completely unobstructed view forward- no glass, no pillars. For Alaskan scenic cruising this is amazing. There is a naturalist on board and she and fellow passengers gather there to look for wildlife and talk about the glaciers. The camaraderie is so much fun and with the prime viewing location, you get to see so ...
We have cruised about 8 times in the past, all with Royal Caribbean. Then we didn't cruise for the past 3 years due to the pandemic. Our first time back to cruising was a weekend cruise to the Bahamas with Royal Caribbean and we were very disappointed by the lack of cleanliness on the pool deck, poor customer service and the quality of the food. I'm not sure if this is a post-pandemic ...
We completed this itinerary and also stayed on for the 7 day return journey to Vancouver.
The Majestic is similar to Princess’s other Royal Class ships. Apparently it was designed for the Chinese market and does not include the Take Five Jazz bar but has a VIP casino lounge in its place. That was a disappointment for us because we don’t gamble but we do like jazz.
The musical ...
Princess kept their end of the bargain here - we went to every port scheduled, all the restaurants, bars, shows, casino and everything else they promised was delivered. I am giving this review as a guide to anyone else thinking of this itinerary.
First thing - the cruise tour package is stressful. There is a lot to get to see in a short time, and hopping from one to resort to another three ...
Wife/I flew from Detroit-Seattle on Alaska Airlines the day before the cruise. Alaska airlines was great. Stayed in the newly named Marriott Zone SeaTac which is a newer hotel. With a govt rate, we got a room for a very good price. We walked across the street to the restaurant at the Maverick Casino and had a very good dinner there. Seattle Shuttle picked us up Sunday morning at 9:00a and we ...
My husband and I went on this Alaska cruise as a celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary (which occurred in 2020, so it was actually our 53rd). We have been on other cruise lines; this was our first with Princess. We were so impressed with our trip that we wanted to share this information.
Our stateroom was very clean and spacious....and we loved our balcony! Great to have the balcony ...
Since we are older, we wanted to take our children and grandchildren on a land tour of and cruise along Alaska. We chose the Sapphire Princess because it had a Grand Suite that could accommodate all 13 of us when we got together. We have sailed on various cruise lines and had different suites. The Grand Suite on the Sapphire Princess was far and away the best suite in which we have stayed. ...
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary on this bucket list trip. We had sky high expectations and were not disappointed. This was our first time cruising on Princess and will definitely cruise with them again. Our itinerary took us to both great natural wonders at Hubbard Glacier and Glacier Bay National Park as well as fun adventures like dog sledding in Skagway and whale watching in Juneau. ...
I expected this to be "dated," but was pleasantly surprised with how beautifully appointed everything was. The artwork throughout the ship and in all restaurants and stairwells was beautiful and the piazza was a lovely place to enjoy the ambience. Lots of hot tub options, our favourite one was at the back on the top. The entertainment was top-notch, the food and drink incredible (we loved the 24K ...
This was our 4th cruise to Alaska and our first leaving from Vancouver. Embarkation was a mess!!!! There were 3 ships of people in 1 line to go through imigration. I though I was being smart boarding late in the afternoon, works in other ports to board after the airport rush has already gone through. Big mistake this time it took 2 1/2 hours of walking through 6 different rat mazes to reach the ...
