This was a back to back cruise at the end of the Alaska season for the Golden Princess. We left Vancouver for Ketchikan, back to Vancouver, then sailed on to Victoria and San Francisco in a second 3 day cruise. End of season cruises are the best! After spending months on the Alaska run, the crew was heading to Hawaii and then on to Australia and they were in high spirits. The entertainment crew was able to shed their Alaska lumberjack costumes for Hawaiian shirts. Because these were short cruises (4 day and then 3 day) the schedule was packed with activities. It was a delightful experience on this lovely ship. The Golden is an older ship with a passenger capacity under 3000. It has been refurbished and was in really excellent condition even after months on the family-packed Alaska itinerary. It has a lovely atrium around which there are numerous restaurants and bars. The lower floor Vines is a favorite and this one did not disappoint with an excellent selection of wines and superior service. Don't miss the wine and chocolate pairing. This level also has the International Cafe that offers a selection of included sandwiches, soup, salads and desserts in addition to a full bar and coffees. Upstairs is Crooners bar that was always busy and featured a good piano player. From Crooners, one wanders toward the back of the ship to the Explorers Lounge with a stage and frequent entertainment then the Wheelhouse bar for quieter enjoyment and finally on to the Vista Lounge. Centrally located are the Italian Restaurant and Steak House that are available for a small additional charge. Not being red meat fans, we chose the Italian restaurant and found the food and service to be excellent, well worth the extra charge. This ship had a really excellent wine list and we were able to enjoy a favorite bottle of Central California red wine with our dinner at a very reasonable price. For daily dining, we always choose seated dining at a large table. The crew has a talent for seating a together a group of compatible people and this trip was no exception. The food and service were excellent and so was the company. I can't say enough for the entertainment and activities. The entertainment staff went above and beyond. There was daily Zumba and tai chi plus trivia and an ever changing schedule of challenges ranging from Passenger Feud to Moose Racing to an egg drop that challenged passengers to create a device that would prevent a raw egg from breaking when dropped from two stories up to the atrium floor. I came home with a nice Princess water bottle and wine bottle stopper for participating and I had a great time doing it. On both legs the captain sponsored a champagne waterfall in the atrium with ample champagne for the passengers. The pool deck is inviting and was not crowded. This ship has an open pool area and also a covered pool that was more used in the cool and wet Alaska weather we encountered. There was simply too much fun to be had below decks for us to make much use of it. Service was excellent across the board. It always amazes that crew can remember you and your preferences with ever changing passengers. This ship was especially good. Our dining room waiter worked in the anytime dining room for breakfast and lunch and always came over to say hello. The bartenders in Vines and Skywalkers remembered us and our drink preferences and were always ready with beverages and conversation. Our cabin attendants were excellent. Even though we did not select these cruises for the ports and shore excursions, Vancouver proved to be better than we could possibly have expected. We did a Fraser Valley Wine Tour that was really excellent. Who knew? These Canadian wines are not readily available in the US and they are excellent. We also very much enjoyed Granville Island where we did a brief pre-cruise stay. Overall, this was an absolutely terrific week and we look forward to doing it again next year! Read Less

We wanted to experience the suite life on a cruise. Golden is among the ships with the cheapest suites (the window suites) and a short cruise (4 days) is among the cheapest types of cruises. YES I'm frugal but still enjoy cruising. Everything on board was fabulous (this was our 6th cruise). Staff and the ship were great. We had the champagne welcome, the afternoon tea, in room canapes and fruit bowl. We had the free bar set up and I managed to swap it out for the stuff I prefer. The menu and staff in the Club Class dining room were great. We entered when we wanted and NO WAIT. We had a choice of tables. A couple of dinners we shared tables with other couples. Nice people and great conversation. A couple of meals we had just the two of us. We also had the mimosa breakfast in the Crown Grill. Different menu but all good food and staff. I especially enjoyed the Bircher muesli with mixed berries. Of course I have a few grumbles. Starting with US Customs. A 3 hour wait. They know they had 3 ships leaving, they could have put on more staff. At least the Cruise Terminal staff were efficient and had seating arranged so I was only standing for two 20 minute sessions with seating in between. When we finally got to customs, we ran our passports through a scanner, got our tickets, handed them to the agent and walked through. Three hour wait for an automated scan. And you can't do anything about the rain in Ketchikan. We were smart and brought rain coats. In the gift shops people were scrambling for cheap disposable rain coats. We docked at pier 4. As far from the tourist part of town as you can get. I wanted to visit Creek Street. There was a free shuttle with a line up but I couldn't be bother to wait in the rain and then walk about. We hit a couple of gift shops and went back on board for lunch. Read Less

My second cruise on the Coral, this time in a balcony A610. A great location with covered balcony allowing us to step out even in the rain and not get our feet wet! This cabin was on the port side, a fantastic location to view the glaciers. Embankment was smooth and efficient. Sailaway was under sunny skies for a 7 day Alaska cruise-last of the season. We had the beverage package, gratuity and OBC as perks for this sailing. Very convenient for all drinks including specialty coffees and bottled water. Was very wet and stormy in Juneau, Skagway was phenomenal as was Glacier Bay. We were unable to dock in Ketchikan which was very disappointing. Activities on board were great but many overlapping so had to choose. Could have had more variety in entertainment comedian twice ventriloquist twice and on show was the Piano bar Don Juan show. Great show. Read Less

Staff excellent- nothing was too much trouble for them. All equally good. Food really good, with service too match. Cabin was also excellent. Plenty of on board activities on on shore excursions for those who wanted them. 10 out of 10 in all respects - would definitely book this ship again - if we do I hope they have the same staff. We did not use all the facilities, but those we did use were very good. There were plenty of places to have a drink or a coffee, or a snack. We were watching from our balcony when one person was late in returning from an on shore trip - but the ship waited for her and the staff were helpful in getting them on board even after the gangway had been taken up earlier! I hope we get the chance to rebook the Coral Princess - that would be my first choice. Read Less

Princess makes you feel important the entire time your on board. You feel safe and secure knowing that they have your best interests in mind on and off the ship. 5 star service. Huge assortment of food and drink and it’s GOOD food made from someone who cares not from a frozen box. Lobster, great steaks, seafood galore something for everyone guaranteed. Cleanliness is impeccable!! The staterooms were amazing the beds and pillows are straight from heaven you don’t want to leave them in the mornings. You come home rested and feel good, no other accommodation or vacation does that. You feel your money spent on the cruise was a fair trade and and of full value for your experience. I guess the most important vacation for us is knowing your money was well spent. The embarking and disembarking at every stop was smooth and speedy no standing and waiting, ones with children went well and enjoyed all the options available for them on board. Princess covers all the bases, it has the entertainment choices food choices drink choices and they cater to all different age groups and personalities. All the Alaska port of calls were unique and had tons of options for excursions and shopping so everyone had something to do.What’s really special is when the Captain mingles with the passengers throughout the cruise. Great job princess! I always say go Princess or don’t go!!! Thanks again for an amazing cruise... Read Less

We wanted to see the interior of Alaska, as well as the tidal glaciers and seaports. Our guide on land was outstanding. Alexa was so knowledgeable and she was able to give us history or the area, plus making sure our tours and accommodations were ready for us. We had Club Class dining, and that was a new experience for us, but and really enjoyed the extras that came with that. Most of all the wait staff was great and there was never a line to get seated. The excursions were very well done as well. We enjoyed the gold panning at Dredge 8, and sternwheel trip on the river, the train ride out of Skagway was over the top. It is a wonder the rail road got built and how the people made the trip to the gold fields was amazing. They must have had the true pioneer spirit. The entertainment on board the ship was fantastic !!!! We really enjoyed the productions shows and the comic was really funny and the singer had a wonderful voice. I highly reccommend this cruise. If you go in Sept. as we did, dress in layers and be prepared for rain and it was chilly late at night when we went out to see the Nnorthern Lights. Read Less

I truly chose this cruise for my parents, myself & sister because of the great deal. We were able to stay in a beautiful suite at a great discount. But we loved the huge balcony and appreciated the size of the suite and would have paid more for the wonderful week we experienced. Our only complaint was the lack of seating at the Horizons buffet (Dad is a buffet fan, but the crowd was a nightmare, so we only ate 2 lunches there) We appreciated the special attention received at the Da Vinci Dining room. The service was wonderful! We enjoyed two nights at the Crown Grill (our first night there was complimentary) Great steaks, as expected. We also enjoyed SHARE. And the Salty Dog Gastropub was a fun lunch (normally only open for dinner, but opened at noon the last day since we were in Victoria during dinner hours) I was told on the cruise that I would not have to sign for a bar bill under $50. I wish I did. The prices of wine seemed to vary from night to night. ??? Read Less

First time to go on cruise, Alaska cruise to be exact, close to home . Embark Seattle, WA. Embarkation and debarkation process were smooth and easy compare to airport. The ships is beautiful and clean, our cabin (interior) is spacious for two, spacious compare to some regular hotel room. Dining are wonderful, lots of foods selections and lots of dining areas to go to, you never go hungry while on board. You will not get bored due to lots of entertainments and activities to do on-board. The movie at sea is great, we watched movies even though it is cold and windy. The highlight of our cruise is the outstanding services that we got during our stay, all the staffs are very polite and very helpful. Ports and shore excursions are good but not great, depends on where are you going. Just one negative that I want to share; If the ship is rocking, don't go to Lotus Spa to get a massage. My wife and I had a massage when ship is rocking. we didn't realized that staffs who give us massage are both sea sick. Both staffs didn't gave us a good massage that we paid for. They keep on stopping and leaving the area, in the end we didn't get the full 70 minutes services (probably 30 minutes less. The price is too pricey and with the experienced we had, I don't recommend. We are planning to go on cruise again with the Princess cruise, maybe Mediterranean or Europe cruise this time. This was our first cruise with Princess Cruise Lines. Princess has quickly became our favorite! The embarkation process was extremely smooth and organized! We were amazed at how quickly it went! The ship was spotless from top to bottom everywhere you looked! We took the Ultimate Ship Tour which allowed us to see the areas that most guests are not allowed into and it was very interesting...and clean! All of the staff was extremely helpful and friendly! The food was excellent! Our waiter made our dining experience fun and pleasant! Our cabin was very spacious with a steward wiling to help us with whatever we needed. We were busy everyday with the excursions and all of the activities onboard the ship. We booked our excursions through Princess and they were all great except for the one in Victoria. We arrived there at 7:00pm and the tour guide tried his best to point things out to us but it was too dark to see anything. Had it still been daylight it would of been excellent. We are looking forward to our next cruise with Princess...before our cruise was over we put down a deposit for our next cruise! Read Less

We chose this cruise for the departure port and itinerary, but I wouldn’t change anything. The ship is older and doesn’t have all the wizz bang features of the new ships, but that’s not why you cruise to Alaska. I didn’t notice any maintenance issues or problems with cleanliness. No funny sewerage smells or problems with air conditioning. Our stateroom was always clean and very comfortable. The size was not massive, but more than enough considering the amount of time we spent outside our cabin. Overall the crew were very friendly and efficient. I agree with some of the comments about the buffet, but if you choose carefully you can still have a good meal every time. If you time your meals correctly there are virtually no queues and we always found a table. Remember there is another seating area towards the back of the ship on both sides. We chose traditional dining for dinner and were able to get a table for two after requesting it on the embarkation day. We had to share for the first night, but had our own table for the rest of the cruise. The menu is adequate and again with careful choices you can have a lovely meal every night. The Crown Grill was excellent. Great food and service. Alaska was amazing! We even saw the Northern Lights (on the departure out of Haines and only for about fifteen minutes). I would happily cruise on the Grand Princess again. We’re already planning to repeat this cruise with our kids in a couple of years. Read Less

I specifically wanted to go thru Tracy Arm Fjord and was not disappointed with this cruise. Crew members were amazing, scenery was indescribable and passengers are now considered friends. We enjoyed exploring Sitka alone while participating in excursions in Haines and Juneau. Disappointed with the minimal time available in Victoria, Canada but I hadn't expected to want more time. What a beautiful area. Whale watching in Juneau is a must and we thoroughly enjoyed the salmon bake. Unfortunately that was the same night the ship served Alaskan crab. The ATV excursion was a great adventure for Haines. All of our side trips were thru the cruise line, my husband would not have been ok with the possibility of missing the ship. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We even commented on needing the pillows at home. Space was sufficient for the two of us. We packed so many clothes it was embarrassing. The laundry facility was just down the hall. Breakfast room service was lacking with only cold croissants or muffins and fruit as an option. We did order cookies and milk one night but the cookies were also cold and the milk room temperature. I would say the food was average for a cruise but still very good. Loved visiting the Crooners Bar and the Intl Cafe. The one standard daily complaint is EFFY. My stars every time I turned around they were pushing jewelry on you. Entertainment was great and enjoyed talks from Tess about the glaciers, the area and wildlife. This was a big plus. We did not go to Ketchikan so we didn't get to enjoy the lumberjack presentations that are so widely advertised. We would have loved to see that even not going to that port but the totem carver was good too. We loved it. When we go back e will do a land sea tour. The two plus sea days could have been spent somewhere on land enjoying Alaska instead of on the boat eating. Read Less

The cruise was a bucket list item for us. It came highly recommended by many friends and family who had taken the same cruise. It was a great way to celebrate my retirement and our 30th wedding anniversary. It was everything we expected and more! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The ship was certainly GRAND and beautiful. So many things to do and see on board. Our room was amazing, especially with a balcony. That will be the only way we cruise in the future. The room was always clean and taken care of. Our Steward was great. Our dining experiences were excellent with good food and really great staff! The service was very special and a favorite memory of our trip. Goals? See bald eagles, bears, whales, dolphins and, glaciers. Saw all of them during our excursions! Butchart Gardens in Victoria, B.C., were as beautiful as ever. Brought back memories of a trip I took with my grandparents in 1973. Fond memories for sure. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we made a deposit for our next future cruise! Not sure yet where it will take us but we're ready to do it again! Read Less

I don't have any complaints about this cruise, except it is an older ship. Otherwise, everything was wonderful, especially the staff in all departments! Cabin was depressing as I quickly learned the importance of light. Our cabin steward and dining waiter went above and beyond any expectation we came on board with. Embarkation and disembarkation processes were easy and smooth. San Francisco was a great city to leave from with much to do and all ports of call were more than beautiful. There were many activities available on board including yoga, comedy, bingo, theater shows, singing/dancing, game shows, and BEST of all...movies under the stars! The staff replace all the pool towels with fleece blankets to snuggle up; a different movie played each night. Food was delicious with wide variety, even the buffet was good. There were multiple hot tubs available, nice and hot for the cool weather in Alaska. There are two formal nights which is fun to dress up and have a nice meal. The amount of marine wildlife along the way and in Alaska was incredible! I can't say enough how much I recommend this cruise. It is most definitely worth your money! Read Less

I just really have always wanted to take an Alaskan cruise. The Coral Princess in September was a wonderful experience. The crowds were smaller and the weather was just about perfect. There was not a mosquito to be found. The shore excursions were first rate. The stops in Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway offered a variety of experiences. There was plenty of time for shopping and exploring even with taking shore excursions. The Glacier cruising was awe inspiring. Cruising in September means that you get to see even more glaciers because there are some areas that are closed to cruise ships until September As always on a Princess cruise the food was delicious. The Entertainment was professional class. The Crew is always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.Even the transfer from Anchorage to Whittier was first rate with a bus driver/tour guide who was great telling us about life in Alaska and pointing out interesting things along the way.. We even were able to take a shore excursion in Vancouver after we disembarked and before we had to fly out. Not only did it give us a great overview of Vancouver, it also lessened our time sitting in the airport. Our balcony stateroom offered stunning views. The ship is a slightly smaller ship and that made getting around very easy. Everything went smoothly from embarking to disembarking. Princess knows how to do things right. Read Less

Always heard the Alaska Cruise was a great one to take. I was impressed with the decor and cleanliness of the ship. It was well laid out, with lots to see and lots of activities to take p[art in. We tried a few and enjoyed them a lot. Engine trouble before we left port caused over a twelve hour departure delay, causing us to have to skip the Juneau stop and the glaciers. Although this was very disappointing, it was still a great and enjoyable cruise. The shows we went to were very well done and very enjoyable. The professional level of the entertainers was very high. The sailing was surprisingly smooth, (we expected a bouncier cruise), and the movement was mostly un-noticeable. The selection of food in the Horizon Lounge Buffet "blew my mind". I did not ecpect to see such a wide variety to choose from. The Staff overall were exceptional. Read Less

Very organized cruise from embarkation, room set up, port stops and disembarkation. The Captain had a wonderful sense of humor and his announcements were fun to listen to. Great menu and service in the Main Dining room. Crooners bar was our favorite for a cocktail. It seems like the prices for drinks continually rise. We don’t drink enough to warrant the beverage package. The bars were specialized so if you wanted a martini in the wine bar that wasn’t possible. This was a new change for us. Enjoyed all the ports except Victoria as the ship doesn’t arrive until 7 pm but we were expecting this. We had a cabin on Caribe deck with the large balcony. Our room and the ship is in need of refurbishment. It has seen better days. We enjoyed dining at 7:30 and then going to the shows after. This is the second time we have taken the Inland Passage cruise from Vancouver to Whitter. Both times with Princess but two different ships. Loved the first cruise and wanted to come back once again and also added the land tour package this time. The Alaska cruises are very popular for good reason. The views, the calm sailing, the interesting ports of call. The variety of excursions and the expierance of Glacier Bay National Park. The cruise is worth doing all on its own. Adding the land portion makes a second type of trip out of it that pairs so well to show off Alaska. The cruise ship Golden Princess was reallynice. We were on the last North bound trip of the year. Long season for the crew but they did a great job for us. Cabin clean, comfortable. We had balcony cabin which was wonderful for this type of cruise. Spent a lot of time watching the natural beauty pass by in front of us right off our balcony. Saw sea turtles swim right below us, whales in the distance. Great ocean vistas, Calm and smooth waters. Whats not to like in this picture? Three ports of call on the cruise not counting Vancouver and Whitter. Each has a lot to offer. We did excursions in each. All enjoyable. Got out on the water on a tour boat out of Juneau for up close whale watching. Took a ferry out of Skagway to Haines and a tour up a river to view bald eagles and brown bears hunting and catching salmon out of a river. Took the duck boat around Ketchikan for a tour of the town and a trip out on the harbour. Great fun all of them and well setup and organized. We set up each excursion through the Princess website in advance and everything went very smoothly in each port. I would recommend yopu spend some time comparing the many options availbe in each port and pick what sounds like the most appealing to you. In juneau there is a tram to the top of Roberts peak with greatviews and hiking trainls around the top. The glacier just outside of town is worth the trip. We did that last crusie. The boat trip this time left from a harbour a bit away from Juneau so there was a nice bus ride with good sights along the way then a great trip out inot the Sound with views all around and many whales. So much to do , so little time! The ship is in port for the shortest time in Ketshikan. The town is small enough to just walk off the ship and go places or take a shuttle bus. It is the salmon capital and there are some hgreat ours around that theme. Skagway is the history stop. Gold rush gateway. The town is small and walkable with many stores and restaurants. A fun place. The train ride over the pass is very worth doing. Tkes some time, you travel quite a ways. We did that previuously so opted to take the tour that went to Haines. A 45 minute ferry ride and then buses up a river to a lake and park/campground. Te guides would stop the bus when nears and bald eagles were spotted along the river and everyone would pile out to see. The guides set up several spotting scopes that gacv closeup views and would take people's phones and take pictures through the eyepiece. Great shots of bears pulling fish from the river! So each port has much to offer. If you are on a tight budget there is much to do by just walking off the ship and exploring on your own. While I highly recomment the excursions as a way to really get out there and see things they are not the only options. You can have a good time with some walking sighseeing, light shopping and lunch and back to the ship. The ship is much quieter during the days in port and you can have much of the place to yourselfs as well. While on board the ship when it is underway there is always plenty to see and do. Good public areas.Activities. Food in the dining rooms was great. Buffet was ok for breakfast and a quick lunch. Very crowded during peak times. Hard to find a table at times. For dinner don't cheat yourself, go to the dining rooms. They are much better in terms of expierance and food qaulity at no additional cost. Yes there are a couple of formal nights. Don't skip them and go to the buffet. Times have changed. In the same dining room on formal nights I saw men in tux's, sports coats ties and no ties. And a couple of stubborn folks in T shirts and jeans. No judgments were being made. We did one specialty restaurant of the two on board. The Crown Grill was very good indeed. You don't get steak like that in the regular dining rooms. During the day there is always pizza avalable and hamburgers and sandwiches by the pool. We didn't starve. Diets are temporaily suspened for the duration of the cruise. Entertaimment was well done and enjoyable. Fitness center well set up. Deck 7 walk around the whole ship very popular. Something every evening. The Princess theatre was our go to spot. Good production shows. Singing, dancing. You will find lots of music in the bars and several large bar venues. Prices are what you would expect. Very comfotable places all throughout the ship. But all of that onboard stuff is a sidelight. Makes the trip nice but the star of the show is the journey itself. If there was no bingo or casino or bars and steakhouses, production shows or shopping locations the voyage would still be well worth it. The real show is off the bow, the port and starboard and aft. Just look around out there for the whole trip and you will feel that you got your moneys worth. We did. Read Less

We’ve always wanted to go through the inside passage, so that overcame our reservations about cruise ships - and we’re so glad we went. The whole experience surpassed our expectations. We booked all our shore excursions through Princess and they were all excellent, with the trip on the Whitepass & Yukon Railway being the highlight. While it took us awhile to find our way around the ship, and we wished it weren’t quite so crowded in places, we learned to find out how to make it work for us. Many of the available activities weren’t to our taste, but we really appreciated the excellent talks by the Naturalist, by the Park Ranger who came onboard in Glacier Bay, and by the first woman who won the Iditarod. Much to our surprise, we even enjoyed the karaoke, because most of the participants were excellent, and any performer we saw was very good. The food was very plentiful and enjoyable, though it was a little bit of a mob scene at the breakfast buffet. The served dinners were wonderful, with lots of menu choices, and friendly, professional wait staff. We experienced nothing but good service from them, from our cabin steward and from every other staff member we encountered. Overall it felt like excellent value for money, and took us to places we’d never have seen otherwise. Read Less

For our cruise this year to Alaska - AMAZING!! - we not only were celebrating my birthday but my husband Larry and my Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary!! What a pleasant surprise when I read on the Princess Patter that a vow renewal was being planned while we were cruising!!! Larry and I, along with 50+ other couples, gathered for this extremely emotional celebration - I cannot tell you how much this meant to us and, I'm sure, the others! Thank you to Matt, our cruise director, for hosting this event, it meant more than you will ever know! Alaska has been on my Bucket List for a very long time and it didn't disappoint in any way! The excursions were awesome - I went dog sledding, got puppy kisses, met the first woman who ever won the Iditarod (what an honor!), ate dungenous crab until they almost had to roll us back on the ship, marveled at the scenery and the glaciers, saw Denali!!!!!!!!, made eye contact with a MOOSE!!, met so many interesting people from all over the world . . . I could truly go on and on! The staff on Princess was amazing, always helpful. Wish we had started cruising sooner but we will go every chance we get!!!!!! I have 2 complaints and they are trivial. 1. I would like to have nachos on the trident grill menu or have them served on the buffet more, we only saw them on the buffet once our whole trip. 2. I would like to see movies streamed when your Princess Ads are not playing on the screen. My husband and I really like watching moves when we are out on the deck. Previous cruises on Princess , they would do 7pm movies, which was great. This time they did not start until 9pm, that is too late for us. Thanks for listening, we plan to cruise again soon, also loved the Alaskan cruise, best I have ever been on, My fave, was Glacier Bay, cannot stop raving over it and telling everyone to cruise Princess, once you try them, you will stay with them and I really did come back after our trip and felt renewed again! We picked this cruise line because of what we had heard from others and that they are one of only two lines allowed into Glacier Bay which was a must see for us. The ship is beautiful, never felt crowded even with 3000 guests onboard. The staff is incredible and if you get a change to use the Spa you should splurge for it. The room was excellent and bigger than I thought it would be. The spa services are great! Great food and so many things to do you just don't have time to do them all :-( The Alaska scenery is unbelievable and the scale of everything is enormous. I would definitely do this cruise again so that I could partake in other excursions and shipboard activities that I did not have time to try. Definitely put this cruise on your bucket list. Everything was 1st class aboard ship. The only minus is the internet service. Very bad and not worth the price so don't bother buying the package. Read Less

Took a 7 day inside passage cruise to Alaska stopping in Juneau, Skagway, sailing through beautiful Glacier Bay, Ketchikan then Victoria Canada. Especially enjoyed Skagway with its goldrush history and Glacier Bay is absolutely stunning Beautiful, clean ship. We had the inside cabin and was delighted with the size, especially storage space for personal items. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, food was great, and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Especially enjoyed the afternoon tea time with scones and finger foods. You will have to pay for upgrades to dine in specialty restaurants and connect to wi-fi as with any other cruise line I imagine. As far as entertainment, we saw a couple of musical type shows which had some pretty amazing talent to be performing on a cruise ship. Also attended a couple of comic shows that were outstanding! Must do trip. Will definitely choose Princess again!! Read Less

I chose Princess Cruise for 2 reasons. I used to do security in tge building in Seattle where their customer service was and they where wonderful folks. They made a great impression on me. The second reason was Princess goes above snd beyond for Vets. That really impressed me and was a wonderful bonus. My husband got credit on board for serving our country. This whole week was relaxing had bueatiful views in Alaska. The art classes and auction was educational. We enjoyed the food at the buffets. The crew on board was very helpful always had a smile and wanting to help you have a nice vacation. It was great meeting people from all over the world. It was great hanging out and chatting. The first QUESTION always was where are you from? Then it was just chatting. The room was good size. The service was AWESOME. Had a great Steward. Loved tge schedules every night of the next days events. IT IS WORTH THE MONEY. HAVE A GREAT TIME. Read Less

I have been wanting to see Alaska for years. Finally, my dream came true. The staff on the Ruby were fantastic. The meals and the menu couldn’t be any better. I loved gathering with my family every night at the Michael Angelo. The staff made us feel appreciated and welcomed. They were part of the family. The service was five star all the way! The only set back in my opinion are that the cabins look pretty old. The ship itself is not bad but I expected a little more. The ranger from glacier park got a political in her announcements. I was enjoying the view and loved the glaciers. It ended with a big let down with the rangers announcement. Take the mic away from her. The cabin porter was fantastic. Couldn’t appreciate him enough. Things got done and I didn’t even realize it. Much appreciated. The staff as a whole were fantastic. Over and above. Read Less

Excellent cruise. Staff were professional and the ship was spotless. Food was excellent. Scenery was wonderful. Highly recommend taking the the tour of the ship. The cost is $120 but is worth every cent. You will see all the behind the scenes of the ship and as a surprise you receive photos of the tour, a Princess bath robe and cooking apron, a picture frame and a personalized note pad. One of my favourite experiences on board.I did not purchase any of the beverage packages and was never lacking for anything to drink. There is included orange juice for breakfast and coffee, tea and water. Other drinks such as sodas would have to be purchased. The entertainment was very good with a mix of comedy, singing and chorus shows. Very happy with the overall cruise The only thing I would add is that we took the Denali rail Land tour afterwards and this was not good value for money spent. The train speed was very slow (approx 25 mp) making it a very long trip. The Princess Denali Lodge was dirty with very limited time to enjoy the park and the Princess Staff aggressively pushed the Wilderness Wildlife Tour upgrade on the train which turned out to be a major disappointment. Avoid that tour at all costs. Read Less
