The first cruise we ever took was on the old Dawn Priincess, So Princess has a special place in our hearts. For that reason it hurts to see how far they have slipped in quality. This 10 day cruise had perhaps the worst entertainment we have ever seen. From a female comedian who was terrible--an impersonator who wasen't even close. One "showroom" star was a guy who had been performing in the lounge ...
There's a lot of things that made this entire experience not enjoyable from the beginning. Dealing with customer service is almost nonexistent. They do not reply to emails, when you cancel things on their website there's no way to tell if you're due reimbursement, where it goes, and their methodology for giving onboard credit versus a refund and when they issue is vague at best. We were due ...
We choose this cruise because of the itinerary. Also because 30 years ago I had a great experience aboard Princess cruises. This time was different. Despite having been on at least 50 cruises, we found this ship very hard to navigate. The layout is just terrible and makes no sense. We also found the interior very kitsch, outdated and tacky. This ship was originally made for the Asian market and ...
Went on our first Alaska Cruise August 27 - September 3 2023. My 10th cruise, his 2nd. The sail away party from Seattle was nice and really our only opportunity to use the pool unless you have a high tolerance for cold air, but the hot tubs are nice and not crowded. Booked with the Princess Premier package. Paid for itself but some perks not used or not really great...more to come. Balcony room ...
The ship is very nice, on a 7 day inside passage cruise to Alaska. Going ashore in Juneau was a nightmare for people with mobility issues. Waiting for an elevator to take you down to level 4 was quite an ordeal. Had to ride the elevator to deck 16 first, then stop at every deck on the way down to deck 4 to leave the ship. Extremely hard to get an elevator to move from deck to deck. Salty Dog ...
We wanted to tour Alaska and this 7 day, 6 night cruise showed interesting ports. What we didn't understand was that out of 7 days, there were only 3 port days (except for the day we embarked and disembarked. Two of those 3 port days, we had to return to the ship by 3:30-4:00, leaving so little time to schedule any interesting excursions.
The ship was clean, the pool area nice, the food ...
We choose this ship due to the time of departing Vancouver and returning. We had been on other Princess cruises and felt confident that Crown Princess would meet our satisfactions. The deals and specials were our liking also on this ship. We got our cruise through a travel agent. Vancouver not too far away we got parking at the ship terminal which cost us over $300. for 11 days. But very ...
We chose Princess Ruby because it sails from San Fransisco. We liked many activities and entertainment. But very disappointed that it has very limited Asian food that you can only find in buffet area. Even the limited Asian food tended to be Indian food or Tai food.
The bar quality are not consistent. Sometime are strong while other time are week. Coffee some time are stale while other times ...
Our travel agent recommended us to go with Royal Princess for our Alaska cruise as they had the best itinerary. The excursions were great. The day at the glacier on the ship was ok but, even though we went to two, one was so far away, there was no way we could see anything. Disappointing. The on-board activities were uninteresting. A lot of 'game show' activities. My husband went to one "Can you ...
This was a long planned family cruise including my mother, my brother, and both of our families. Fourteen of us, in all, including three great grandchildren. It was a first cruise for the grand and great-grand generations. The rest of us are spread out from Ruby to Elite in Princess’ Captain’s Circle/Medallion program.
We had great weather at all of our ports. The only weather impact was fog ...
