This was our first cruise on Princess. We have sailed with Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity before. We were very excited to go on an 11 day Alaska Cruise!
Let's start with the Pros. Main dining room food was excellent, drinks and specialty cocktails were delicious and the itinerary was wonderful. Big production shows were outstanding and I was able to perform the last night in the Voice ...
We chose this cruise because of the dates. Everything and everyone was wonderful. The only fault we found was the condition of our cabin. The bathroom needed more attention to clean stains in the shower and toilet. There were stains on the bed cover so we just threw it off. We knew this was an older ship that had been refurbished. There was not enough late night entertainment. We are night people. ...
Had lovely balcony mini suites for our travel group. Loved the food, good menus and the afternoon wine tasting was a fun activity. General ship management was consistent with Princess.
Took several excursions and each were worth the money. Zip lining in Ketchikan, Whale watching in Juneau, Train in Skagway were all fun family activities with teens. Victoria was hit and miss - plan to use a ...
Royal Princess to Alaska Seattle round-trip was a great cruise. I went with a friend, her young son and her brother in early August. Embarkation was super easy, and I found the Blue Lane vs Green Lane to be a meaningless distinction, and picked up my medallion at the same desk as registration, and from getting out of the cab around 11am to being on board took less than 20 minutes.

We were on as 17 day Connosseur Cruise Tour. 10 days land , 7 days sea on the Majestic. The land portion was great. We took this cruise because of land not the cruise. Two nights in 5 different lodges. I have review this on the Alaska forum. The lodges were fine, and the food was also great. The Majestic was OK. We had a standard balcony. It was fine, clean, no complaints. The food was very good. ...
We chose this cruise to escape from Dallas where the temperatures are consistently three digit. It was our first Princess cruise, our second Alaska cruise, and about our 25th ocean or river cruise. We booked a mini suite with balcony. This is definitely a ship oriented toward families and a 40-50 year old passenger demographic.
Our experience doesn't support comments elsewhere about the Royal ...
We had a great time on the cruise. I am diabetic and was happy to see sugar free desserts. I love my coffee and was glad to see the expresso being served. My wife is not fond of sweet desserts and was glad to have so much fresh fruit available. All of the staff were so nice and caring, always willing to help. I was really impressed with them all; waitstaff, housekeeping and the crew.

We booked an Alaska cruisetour with Princess after lots of research. Have done nearly 30 cruises with various lines including several with Princess.
Spent 7 days on a land tour first, which was excellent and ran very smoothly despite the changes of location along the way.
We chose the Grand as we wanted a smaller ship and love the wrap around promenade deck on this older class. The smaller ...
This was a 'cruisetour' to Alaska, starting from Anchorage and ending in Vancouver. The land portion consisted of a first night in Anchorage (stay was at Princess' Captain Cook), second night at McKinley Princess Lodge and third and fourth nights at Denali Princess Lodge. Honestly the stay in Anchorage and McKinley was 'irrelevant' - meaning these were not worthy stops as far as interesting ...
