We wanted to see Alaska and the glaciers.
Getting on and off the ship was very easy and mostly smooth.
The ship was very clean and the mini-suite with balcony was everything you could ask for.
We were very disappointed with the food. The service in the dining rooms was very good but the food was poor, with the exception of the two specialty dining rooms.
We spent a goodly amount of ...
Words can not express what a wonderful time my wife and I had on this cruise. Everyone we had direct contact with was amazing. Our cabin steward Raul was so fast at refreshing the room it was unreal. The dining staff in the club class section of the Bordeaux dining room were all great. We filled out recognition cards for all 7 of the staff in the area as well as Raul. We wish they had mentioned ...
Always wanted to see Alaska. Did a land tour first and got to see Denali (McKinley) 3 times in full sun. Put us in the 1% of visitors that did. Ship needs a full refinish for leaks, linens that were close to threadbare, deck flooring, buffet room and so on. The cabin staff was ok. Couldn’t get hot water in shower and when we asked our cabin steward about it he said he would check it out but ...
A friend & I decided mutually on these destinations. The restaurants are great , except for people with food allergies, then you're treat as an afterthought. While everyone got beautiful food, I was served inedible rubbish, that was so plain (steamed) I could have screamed. The pastry chef needs to be shot for lack of imagination. Mostly served pies with canned filling on all days. Couldn't they ...
This was my second cruise on the Diamond Princess. I cruised around Hokkaido in Aug 2017 and liked it so much that I decided I’d like to cruise around the other islands.
This cruise was advertised as 13 days but it was 2 cruises (8 days/5days). Embarkation was very efficient but somehow my luggage tag came off and despite having a name tag, I was told my surname was common so they did not ...
We recently had a 13 night cruise around Japan on the Diamond Princess and it was just wonderful. Events out of the control of the Captain forced a couple of cancelled Port visits but that goes with the region, typhoons, earthquakes and landslide - safety first.
After receiving a complimentary upgrade to a Suite we were very excited to find our cabin was a the back of the boat and had a ...
Travel agent recommended it and we felt cost was affordable. In San Francisco our hotel the Sheraton was great, nice location, food in San Francisco great. Tour to Muir Woods and Sausalito was great also.Embarkation went well except my luggage was broken and had to be fixed onboard, felt a little too rushed but staff was helpful. Disembarkation went ok . The ship itself was clean but had to learn ...
I was very disappointed in the entertainment and food. The dining room food was below average, except for desserts. Several meals from our table of eight were not eaten. The hot dogs, hamburgers, and pizza upstairs was much better. The staff were exceptional and the ship was very clean. I felt the entertainment was also below average. The trio band that played was the only talented group on the ...
Got it free along with cash because we gambled on the March Mexico cruise.
I usually book an inside room aloha deck 14 near the back adult pool, dont need a window when you have the whole back of the ship 20 feet away. This time we upgraded to a window view, P315 I think for $88 total . wonderful! On the deck with the Americana cafe, so we ran out to get Lattes and Americanos and snacks for ...
Alaska is always beautiful whether it's hot, cold or rainy. We chose this cruise in a relatively cold climate to get away from the desert heat. We have sailed with Princess 30 times and definitely have noticed changes over the years.
The entertainers were fabulous. As usual, one had to go to the Princess Theater 30 minutes early in order to get a seat.
As far as the cabin, our mini-suite ...
