Lava Flows and the Na Pali Coast Was Epic

I chose this cruise to visually see the fountaining lava flows in the Hawaii Volcano National Park as well as to experience the sheer and extensive cliffs of the Na Pali Coast on the island of Kauai. Also, I wanted to look at the island of Maui and the beauty of Haleakala from the ocean. To experience the Hawaiian Islands from the ocean instead of being land is the primary reason why I chose ...

We had a wonderful time on this cruise. A great way to see the Hawaiin islands. We had a balcony room. Although rooms were small, storage space was well organized.King bed and pull out couch. Room steward was excellent. very quiet. The food was good, service exceptional. All drinks at all bars were spot on. Entertainment was good. Open dinning was lovely, never felt rushed to get ...

Just like America decaying infrastructure, cheap food, unhappy workers

Food is horrific. Makes Denny’s look like Farm to Table gourmet. Upscale dining a notch below Olive Garden. Marin din8ng room akin to low budget Hometown buffet. Snacks buffet included Gas Station Nachos and frozen desserts. The desserts resemble the crappy school fundraiser fare kids sell. My wife and I had to sleep in bunk beds. Our shower drain was slow, constantly standing in a ...

We chose this particular cruise to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The embarkation and disembarkation went very well, though we had to wait until 3 p.m. before the 10th floor deck cabins were opened. We boarded about 12:30 and enjoyed a buffet lunch in the Aloha Cafe, which always had a good selection of food and we ate there often. We stayed in room 10130. It was a quiet and comfortable ...

Ship not in good condition, limited activities, mediocre food

Upon arrival, rooms not ready; two hour wait before we could get to rooms. During wait, dining room open, but, maintenance was painting food prep areas! Chemical paint smell made travel mates nauseous and sick. Large section behind serving station marked off with dark plastic around the area, however, you could hear hammering, drilling and various work behind the plastic. Ship outdated, with a ...

Hawaii - Awesome, Cruise - Disappointing

1. On embarkation day our rooms were not ready until about 4 PM. Yet we had been made to arrive at 11:00 using the pre-paid shuttle bus from our hotel. We had nowhere to put the items we carried with us (ipads, medicines) so we were VERY limited in what we could do for all those hours. We would have been much happier staying in Honolulu for the day and arriving at the ship much later on. We ...

This was our 4th cruise, first time with Norwegian. Overall we were very satisfied and would love to do it again. Hawaii was beautiful, the cruise allowed us to enjoy several islands and stops. We had a balcony room which was just as nice and comparable to past experiences. The food was good, however we feel we didn’t have as many options as past cruise ships. We enjoyed the entertainment at ...

With no previous experience of cruises we went with no expectations but we were pleasantly surprised. Thoroughly enjoyed the cruise particularly as we were able to leave the ship each day for excursions. The ship excursions were very expensive so we booked through Roberts Hawaii...best decision they were great. Plenty of places to choose from for dining. Buffet was generally ok but we preferred ...

Not Sure What All The Negativity Is About

I booked this cruise because it's the only way, on a ship, to go to so much of Hawaii. We booked it and then I did not read a review until a month out. I WAS NERVOUS. Man, almost every review was negative. I told my family....we are going to Hawaii, not going to be on the boat much. Just have fun and be open minded. This ship and its crew were awesome. Yes, the ship doesn't have slides, ...
