I have been on this cruise in 2014 & 2017. Prior to the cruise I was happy to see they have an app but it was useless and any info was best retrieved using their website. This time was a huge disappointment overall. Restaurants and bars were opened with limited hours or closed early or not open at all. For breakfast and lunch there were not enough options other than the buffet. They didn’t ...
This was a family trip with our 25 year old son and his friend. We were interested in seeing the islands on this itinerary.
Previous reviews about short staffing, restaurants and bars being closed, food lack-luster and unappealing are completely truthful. The bathroom is very small. Shower stall is very tiny even for a child. Hot water in shower was non-existent. Towels replenished, but ...
This was on my wife’s bucket list and her birthday and as of May 28th 2022 the ship wasn’t ready. They set capacity at 40 % and a little over 400 crew members out of over 900. The food other than the 2 open specialty restaurants that you pay for extra, even with package you pay a up charge for surf and turf. The entertainment was terrible,I’ve been to a karaoke bar been better. The staff did a ...
As a Platinum Member with NCL, this is the second time I have taken the Pride of America cruise. I have also been dedicated to NCL and prefer to cruise with them based on their customer service. The Pride of America had been docked for two years due to Covid. April 9th was the the first sailing since then. We have always stayed in top of the line suites (Owners Suite, Three Bedroom Garden ...
It was on our bucket list and we were traveling with friends. Staff was not friendly. Food not very good, Pink Champagne Lounge smelled like sewerage. Overall this wasnt a good experience and we spent alot of money on this cruise., NCL has definately changed since we took an Alaska Cruise. The Specialty Restaurants wer okay. The staff seemed to be bothered by being there. The Cruise ...
While the port locations were great and the excursions varied, the ship is old and tired and with the new focus on preventing virus spread on the ship for the first 3 to 4 days when the passengers cannot serve themselves or touch anything on their own, you are going to experience just horrible service onboard. Sitting out by the pool, you'll need to find a service person to take your drink order ...
This was suppose to be a trip of a lifetime to Hawaii ! The coordination between the NCL cruise line and the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort was poor. Even though the rooms were prepaid we had to wait in line for almost 2 hours to check into the hotel. There was no representative at the hotel from NCL to coordinate the land portion of the tour.
Once on the ship, we were amazed at the lack of ...
My husband and I wanted to have a chance to see multiple islands to see which might be our favorites. We’d only been to Oahu previously.
Embarkation and disembarking was very easy. We utilized NCL transfer transportation from/to the airport which was great. These were handled extremely well.
Food was mediocre at best in the buffet. We ate at Cadillac diner, Skyline and specialty restaurants. ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We have travelled Carnival numerous times, however we had little choice since Norwegian was the only ship with desired itinerary. Compared to Carnival, this ship was not good. Food rarely changed and we grew tired of the menu by day 3. If you wanted to eat different food, you would have to pay extra (a lot extra). There was a hidden fee of ~$16 per ...
The overall cruise was pretty good. The customer service I received prior to boarding was terrible. It makes me mad enough that I can only rate the overall cruise as a 2 (poor).
My wife is a greencard holder and mistakenly forgot her card. Upon arriving to Honolulu, we realized this and called Norwegian Customer Service due to the wording of what is needed on Norwegian’s website (one location ...
