Norwegian Pride of America Inside Cabin Cruise Reviews

The poolside Key West Bar & Grfill and adjacent Dolce Gelato were never open, like all the other specialty restaurants I had mentioned.
Life here, as elsewhere, like pre-covid. But limited to no poolside dining options. You could always double back into the Aloha Cafe buffet if it is still open.
Every meal, there 2 inexpensive processed lunchmeats to select from. I remember when corned beef had disappeared. Now turkey slices didn't even make an appearance,
At this quiet time in the Aloha Cafe buffet, fewer options for a meal were apparent. Even the shrimp cesear salad wrap (served 2 different lunches) had large croutons stuffed with 3 small shrimp & 2-3 crouton stuffung, I never saw that bread filler in a seafood wrap before. Boo!

This review is about our return to cruising and our experience on this 4th cruise week since the Covid shutdown 2 years ago. We cruised Norwegian 2/20 just before shutdown, so having returned this morning 5/7/22 from Norwegian's Pride of America (Hawaiian) cruise and cruisetour. Here's what we experienced and we will refer to this post-Covid experience onboard and not life about the ship itself. ...

The POA is refurbished and looks nice and modern on the inside. The food and entertainment is sub par from the other Norwegian cruises we have been on we figured it was because they have to pay American wages and had to cut back on money. Still good food but no shrimp or lobster nights and just a little less variety. The bar service is sub par they just move very fast takes a long time to get ...

We are from Michigan, mid 30's, were on a 10-year anniversary trip to Hawaii and thought this would be the best way to "see it all." This was my 10th cruise (others being Disney, Carnival, and NCL). Short story is the trip was great because Hawaii is great. Unfortunately, NCL didn't do much to help make it better besides provide a room and food. If you just need a moving hotel to see Hawaii, do ...

Everything was fantastic. Price was cheap. Experience was amazing. Recommending it to everyone. Lots of buffet food in Aloha Cafe. Specialty food was horrible so dont try it. Lots of options in the ALoha Cafe Cabin was clean. Little bit smaller but it was comfortable. Shows were amazing and entertaining. Standup comedy and shows were great. Service was great. Everyone was smiling ...

We enjoyed this cruise so much and will be back soon! We chose this cruise for the accessiblility and because it gave us the opportunity to see all the major islands of hawai'i. Our experience was special right from the start. The crew was very accomodating and fun. We felt very welcomed especially by our stewardess and all staff onboard. We really enjoyed the bands that played especially ...

This ship is very laid back. The focus is on the islands. I loved that it stayed for two days at two ports. This was a much different cruise than we have ever been on. Very laid back and no rowdiness aboard the ship. We felt the entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Our cabin steward was always quiet, and always had our room clean and tidy. We commend her for her extreme ...

Better bathroom in my RV

Had a chance to go to Hawaii, and I always take advantage of those opportunities. This ship was part of a package, so I had no choice of cruise lines. This is an old ship, in need of an update. The cabin had a lot of storage, but not much else. The bathroom was simply substandard. The bed lamps are in a horrible location, preventing you from sitting up in bed. The food was adequate. The ship had ...

Fantastic ship and itinerary

Embarcation: our booking said our check in time was 1200 but in actual fact, check-in was FROM 1200 so we wasted much of our day in Honolulu (having arrived the day before) and wished we had checked in by 5pm. We checked in and then got off the ship again to walk up Diamond head and arrived back at 4:30pm but realised later, we need not have checked in so early. Cabin: we had the ...

This was my honeymoon cruise and we were reluctant to book this to Hawaii as our dream destination because a lot of the reviews are not good. But we have done many cruises before and we said- well,we'll take a chance and just see. Well, all the GOOD reviews are what we experienced. We had a fabulous time. ALL the people are so friendly and we felt very well taken care of. I dont know if those that ...

Customer care that doesn’t actually know anything

Review for Pride of America to Hawaii

The overall cruise was pretty good. The customer service I received prior to boarding was terrible. It makes me mad enough that I can only rate the overall cruise as a 2 (poor). My wife is a greencard holder and mistakenly forgot her card. Upon arriving to Honolulu, we realized this and called Norwegian Customer Service due to the wording of what is needed on Norwegian’s website (one location ...
