We took the Amawaterways Danube River cruise from Prague to Budapest. After a three day visit to Prague, we boarded the ship in Vilshofen for a 6 night trip, followed by a one night stay in Budapest. We cruised from Prague (actually a bus trip from Prague to Vilshofen via Regensburg) to Budapest. We had a Category C, cabin 230. Embarkation at the Hilton Old Town was quite easy. AMA sells a pre-tour which stays at the Hilton. We stayed there on our own, and there are other hotels on that block. All you need to do is get your bags to the bus in front of the Hilton by the departure time. AMA ...

The Amawaterways staff was outstanding. The ship was great. We were on the top floor with a Juliet balcony. I thought that the tours were wonderful as were the local guides. The food outstanding(except we've had better bread on big cruise ships). Free wine, beer and soft drinks with meals a plus.
