Port of Portuguese Island

Portuguese Island is an off-the-beaten path destination off the coast of Mozambique that is ideal for a low-key day of swimming in the warm sea and relaxing shoreside. The island can be traversed on foot in about an hour and is dotted with stands offering visitors dishes of local cuisine and cold beverages. Sailing, fishing and other boating excursions are also options on Portuguese Island.
