Port of Marietta

The historical port of Marietta, Ohio, is a charming small city full of Colonial and Victorian architecture, family-owned restaurants and quirky museums. Several American Cruise Lines' sailings call in this river cruise port, which is Ohio's oldest city.

Marietta, which sits at the confluence of the Ohio River and the Muskingum River, is home to a number of grand Victorian mansions constructed during 19th-century oil booms. Take in the stately architecture and cobbled streets via a historical walking tour, stop in a Marietta even has its own castle -- a turreted gothic revival house dubbed, fittingly, the Castle. Head to Wayne National Forest nearby for hiking, leaf-peeping and horseback riding in the pristine foothills of Appalachia.
