Disappointing, over-priced

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Pearl Mist

Way over priced for quality of cruise experience. The main cruise director was at best annoying, at worst rude, impatient, unsympathetic. We were specifically told lunch would be offered to accommodate a late excursion only to find the DR closed. Fortunately, we were in port and could walk into a local restaurant that day. Daily excursions are listed as being included in the cruise fare but ...

ART IMMERSION CRUISE MADE THE BEST NEW FRIENDS!!!

This was my first cruise EVER that I took with my mother as her gift to me. What an amazing memory and the best part is my 'cruise souvenirs' were a group of women that I hope to see, again, soon! I was excited to see the beauty of Maine from the water after visiting some of the ports last year by land. The water gives you an entirely different perspective! Portland, Maine is the 'city' we ...

My return to the American Independence (I sailed in May 2021 on the Chesapeake) for a PORTS OF MAINE CRUISE was just what I needed to force me to relax from my busy life and let "someone else do the driving!" Cruising on American Cruise Line is so effortless. Once you arrive with your luggage it is all "gladly giving up the controls" and letting this amazing and attentive staff do the ...

Spectacular spectacular way to enjoy fall color

I chose this cruise because of the size of the ship.. I really enjoy small ship cruising. We had less than 90 passengers. The crew was just spectacular andspectacular and made everyone of us feel that way that we were the most important person in the room. The itinerary was interesting... I have always wanted to see the Bay of Fundy. We even went to a lobster bake. Our nightly entertainment ...

This was a cruise of the New England Islands. We were excited to see these islands and they were beautiful. The stops were typical of small town New England coastal life. It was interesting to see how the very rich live. We chose American Cruise Lines because our previous experience with ACL on the Columbia River was great. Of course that was before the pandemic. Perhaps, that ...

Unbelievable Trip through Maine

I chose this cruise because I live in Florida and felt the weather in Maine was the best weather in the US in summer. Also I love lobster and was excited that it was a big part of the cruise. I was in Maine over 40 years ago and loved it. This cruise covered Bar Harbor, my past destination and so much more. I love the intimacy of American CruiseLine. You actually get to make friends. There are no ...

Attention to detail

The size of the ship 210 guests and the Canadian coastline was the reason for the cruise. The cruise on the whole was great but two areas of the cruise really stood out. 1. the overall cleanness of the state rooms every day they would make the bed and clean the room and I mean clean not just a fast dusting. 2. My wife is a below the knee amputee and the tides in Canda are 12 feet plus ...

SS Covid

Wanted to sail through the Saint Lawrence Seaway and visit Quebec, Montreal and Toronto. This is an expensive cruise that we had high expectations, that would go along with their premium cost. During rainy and cold weather the Ships Sun ☀️ Decks become worthless. Exercise equipment is out on those open decks and become unusable in bad weather. Lounges are small and not very functional to ...

This cruise was to be in 2020. You know what happened then. I think this was the first cruise allowed since Covid. We were tested before, during and after. Our cabin, Deck 3, was comfortable, clean & the small balcony was a breath of sea air. The crew was wonderful. How the cruise director always seemed calm & collected. Nothing seemed to phase her even an extra unexpected day at sea. The waiters ...

Not as good as I thought It would be

I chose this cruise because it had 210 passenger capacity. When I boarded the ship in Portland Maine, I was taken aback by the lack of maintenance and the shabbiness of the ship. For the price of the cruise I expected high quality amenities and staterooms that were updated. This cruise occurred 2 years after the onset of COVID. The testing for Covid was disorganized at the beginning of the ...
