I chose this cruise because of the size of the ship.. I really enjoy small ship cruising. We had less than 90 passengers. The crew was just spectacular andspectacular and made everyone of us feel that way that we were the most important person in the room. The itinerary was interesting... I have always wanted to see the Bay of Fundy. We even went to a lobster bake. Our nightly entertainment ...
The size of the ship 210 guests and the Canadian coastline was the reason for the cruise.
The cruise on the whole was great but two areas of the cruise really stood out.
1. the overall cleanness of the state rooms every day they would make the bed and clean the room and I mean clean not just a fast dusting.
2. My wife is a below the knee amputee and the tides in Canda are 12 feet plus ...
This cruise was to be in 2020. You know what happened then. I think this was the first cruise allowed since Covid. We were tested before, during and after. Our cabin, Deck 3, was comfortable, clean & the small balcony was a breath of sea air. The crew was wonderful. How the cruise director always seemed calm & collected. Nothing seemed to phase her even an extra unexpected day at sea. The waiters ...
We took advantage of an opportunity to board a Silversea cruise in our hometown of Portland, Maine. This was an eight day cruise to Montréal that actually started in New York.
Overall, we give this cruise five stars out of five! When we cruise, food and service are very important to us, and both were excellent on the Spirit. Less important for us are entertainment and excursions, especially ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted cool weather, to experience New England and Canada, and try a river rather than a giant ocean-going ship. We prefixed the cruise start in Portland by arriving earlier, staying at charming bed and breakfast near the town center, and touring the city's highlights. After ending in Quebec, we went to Toronto for two days before going home.
The places we ...
Overall, this Pearl Seas cruise compared well with AMA Waterways' European river cruises, but on a more informal and less elegant basis. The food and table service were excellent, though they did an unsatisfactory job of accommodating a vegan diet.
The free nightly full open bar in the lounges an hour before dinner and during entertainment was a decided plus and much appreciated.
Rooms were ...
We were canceled for the Cuban Cruise 3/16. We love the Nova Scoitia, Canadian Maritimes, so we chose this cruise. Pearl Seas did not disappoint. We were delighted with our crew, met some wonderful people. Loved the welcome receptions in the French Speaking Towns, Saguenay , Baie Cameau. Halifax marching bagpipe bands were a highlight.
Our entertainers closed the days with delightful ...
We've enjoyed several cruises on other lines from large to smaller and enjoy the smaller ships more. This cruise was among the very best:
Ports: great choices and sufficient time with good tours and local guides;
Sailing: the most sailing occurred at night while sleeping and our weather was good so the travel was smooth and comfortable;
Accommodations/room: we were midship and found the ...
We had not heard about Pearl Seas, but saw their ad in the Smithsonian Magazine and thought the itinerary sounded like what we were looking for. From the moment we got on the ship, we knew we had made the right choice. Our cabin, while one of the smallest, had a King Size Bed with 2 night stands and had plenty of room to get around.
We found the dining perfect. It was open seating, which ...
We enjoyed going to places where we could see the fall foliage and also how people lived and live now. We enjoyed the food, the entertainment on board and on the shore excursions . We enjoyed all the on board activities. The personal on the ship were very friendly and helpful. Always happy! The Service was great! The cabin was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It was kept very clean and ...
