I am surprised by how bad the food is and the ship is dirty. The staff are good but seemed to be trained not to give bigger than a child serving for the Buffett. The prime rib a few nights ago turned out to be a few bites of beef. They cut such small bite size pieces I felt bad for the carver. Awful. Just ruined a good prime rib why bother?? We have sailed with Norwegian twice before on the Pearl and the Spirit and enjoyed both. The Epic was a huge disappointment. We wanted to experience a larger ship but will not make that choice again. We have done 27 cruises but this has to be the worst designed ship we have sailed on, we picked this cruise for the terrific ports of call which did not disappoint plus NCLs ad 4 FREE AT SEA allowing us a free premium booze package pp. -4 free dinners at a specialty restaurant of choice- Free WIFI- AND $150.00. Ship is too big. Lots of walking and if you're handicapped you're smart to bring a wheelchair or mobility scooter or you will have a lot of trouble. Elevators are slow and people are quick to get pushy. 4,000 passengers is too crowded. Pools are crowded and the actual pool is about the size of a large bathtub. We have always wanted to do a transatlantic cruise and choose this one because it was sailing from a port near us. We went to all the shows, dined in the specialty dining rooms and enjoyed the many ports along the way. However, the ship is laid out so poorly, we have never stood in line as much as we did on this cruise.

to celebrate 60th birthday, first transatlantic, looked forward to the many days at sea.
Service was very very very slow. Room was rarely made up before 3 pm.
Restaurant service- took 15 minutes just to get a cola. Always took +1 hour.
"Open concept" proved to be very noisy and confusing. Hard to walk through areas when large groups were in a bar.

We chose this cruise as it was repositioning across the Atlantic to Barcelona 1/4-14/4/17.
When we arrived at Port Canaveral to embark it was chaotic with porters running round like headless chickens. There were badly organised queues to enter the terminal.
