This was our 14th sailing with Royal Caribbean, of which three were on Oasis that we loved. Sadly, even though she's a beautiful ship, all in all, Harmony was a let-down for us in several important areas. The most notable sore point of this cruise was our Main Dining Room experience. Even though our waiter, Roque, worked very hard to please, and always wore a great smile, the quality and temperature of the food sabotaged his efforts: The escargot were lukewarm; the onion soup won "worst I've ever had" --- barely warm, totally lacking in taste, and with a huge glob of cheese hanging on desperately to what looked like a drowning slice of whole wheat bread; a tiny Caesar salad drenched in dressing; stuffed mushrooms that were tired and tasteless. Incidentally, we sailed on the Mariner OTS a couple of weeks prior, and my husband commented (and I agreed) that the menu was pretty well the same, with the difference being that the Mariner MDR's food was hot and tasty. After the second evening, we opted to dine in the Windjammer instead. There, the variety, temperature, taste and presentation of the food were substantially better. We being night owls, were also disappointed in the late-night offerings of the Cafe Promenade which are no longer little treats; rather, they've become non-descript and bad enough to choose Sorrento's pizza instead which, by the way, was no treat either. Coffee lovers be warned: With the exception of the Cappuccino in the Diamond Lounge, coffee throughout the ship was tepid and had an odd taste to it. Interestingly, the fun facts about Harmony of the Seas on our Welcome Aboard photo point out that the ship can accommodate 6,780 Guests and 2,175 Crew. I think most of us would agree that those numbers explain the long waits for elevators. We were fortunate to be located mid-ship on Deck 6 which allowed us to take the stairs most times, but we also found ourselves waiting patiently for elevators when walking would have been too difficult. We don't know why, but for some reason we did not receive the invitation to the Cruise Critic Meet 'N Greet and consequently missed it. It seemed strange to us that the Welcome Back get-together on Harmony was held at the Aqua Theatre?! Of course, not all was bad. The comedians Cary Long and Paul Ogata provided side-splitting comedy that still has me laughing. We also really enjoyed "Grease" and the music of Umoja4. As usual, embarkation at Port Canaveral was a breeze (as was disembarkation). Our deluxe veranda stateroom was conveniently located on Deck 6 midship. It had two separate closets and plenty of additional storage space. Our room was well kept by our steward (nicknamed Sam) who was Johnny-on-the-Spot, and his service and attitude were definitely worth the additional tip we left for him. The bump-out balcony was spacious and enjoyable (except for the times our neighbors were out there smoking whatever). Speaking of 'smoke', its smell was very noticeable not only in the Casino, but also in the hallways leading to it. Maybe it's time to enlarge the non-smoking area and reduce the other? Would we sail on Harmony again? Probably not. Read Less

We are a family of 3 which includes my wife and I and our 15 year old daughter. We chose to cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas on a 7 Night Western Carribean itinerary, so we could vacation with friends who were already booked. As a total group, on the cruise, we totated 5 adults and 5 teenagers from 12 - 17. We have cruised twice before but with two different cruise lines and two different destinations, so everything on this cruise was going to be new to us. We decided to start our vacation by arriving early in the day preceding the cruise so we could enjoy a day exploring Orlando. We flew Southwest Airlines and opted for the early bird check-in option. Unless money was tight we will probably use early bird check-in again as it simplifies things and got us a better boarding assignment to ensure we were near the front of the plane and sitting together. As an additional note Southwest boards families with children under six between the A and B groups. We found that as these families wanted to sit together and the A group had randomly occupied the first half of the plane, the families seemed to congregate in the back half of the plane as a result. We arrived in Orlando with an embarrassing amount of luggage for a family of 3 and rented a car from National directly at the airport. If I had been more experienced I would have been able to skip the counter and just pick a car and finish the checkout at the garage exit. Very quick and easy car rental experience overall. We arrived well before noon at the “Holiday Inn Express & Suites Orlando - International Drive” and they were able to check us in immediately so we could drop off our luggage and start exploring. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and well situated to explore the more popular attractions in Orlando. We opted to do some shopping and eating at Disney Springs. We ate at the Earl of Sandwich was which was tasty and economical especially considering Disney’s usually inflated food prices. (As a side note, I managed to get a pretty good cut on my lip from the bread which was an odd experience.) We then drove directly to Universal City Walk to see Blue Man Group and paid way too much for parking. Blue Man Group was great but if you have seen them in the past 10 years be aware they haven’t changed the show at all. We probably won’t go again until they change the show. We then proceeded to finish out the night at “Andretti Indoor Karting & Games”. Andretti was a blast! We stayed until about 11pm before we had to give up due to exhaustion. They have three different indoor go-kart tracks for varying ages and abilities. They also have video games, a ropes course, a bowling area, and a bar. We would definitely like to spend more time there as everyone in our family had a blast there. After collapsing and sleeping fairly well we decided to eat breakfast at the hotel which was included with the room. It was standard hotel fair and quite acceptable to all of us as it included hot foods such as eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, etc… We checked out very quickly and proceeded directly to the highway which was very close to the hotel but unheard from our room. The drive to Port Canaveral was about 45 minutes and uneventful. As a side note if you are renting a car and driving around I recommend a “Visitor Toll Pass” from the Central Florida Expressway Authority. It's a small placard you can hang from your mirror that will charge all your tolls directly to your linked credit card without all the fees the rental companies like to saddle you with. It was very easy to reserve online and pick up at a booth near the rental car counters. We simply dropped it off at the same booth when we returned to the booth when we flew home. I dropped off the family and our embarrassing amount of luggage at the terminal and went to drop off the car. I picked National because they have a location within the port and very close to the terminal. I was back with my family in under 15 minutes. The embarkation process was super quick and easy. We arrived at the port at approximately 10:35 and were onboard with drinks in hand at 11:15. Fwiw, we did have a Jr. Suite which allowed us to embark on a little quicker but our friends had a regular oceanview and actually beat us onboard as they made it to port a about 10 minutes sooner than us. It really doesn’t seem that the different embarkation perk levels make any difference that early in the morning. The short version of our cruise experience is that we loved it. We stayed in a Jr. Suite and booked two Royal Carribean and two private excursions. We ate at speciality restaurants 4 nights and never tried the main dining room for dinner. We saw three shows and tried quite a few onboard activities. We would definitely be open to cruising on Royal Carribean again but we weren’t blown away enough to forsake other cruise lines in the future. And now the longer version… We originally booked a Large Ocean View stateroom using a travel agent at AAA. AAA provides some nice perks in a free speciality restaurant dinner for 2, a free speciality restaurant lunch for 2, a bottle of champagne, and priority boarding. Technically the only perk we ended up using was the free speciality restaurant dinner. We price matched several times and managed to drop about $900 off our cruise price. We got an email offer to bid on a room upgrade through Royal Caribbean about 3 months before our sailing date. I bid $550 on an upgrade to the Jr. Suite which was only $50 more than the bare minimum and considered a “poor” bid. About 2 months prior to sailing our bid was accepted, my credit card was charged, and our new room was assigned, all in one email on a monday morning. We ended up getting a slanted balcony on deck 8. This room was excellent and I would happily take the floor and the slanted balcony in the future without reservation. The slanted balcony ended up offering a great view forward without leaning out over the railing. And deck 8 was perfect if you plan on eating dinner at the speciality restaurants as several of them are off Central Park which is on the same level. Deck 5 and deck 6 are the Promenade and the Boardwalk so are easily walking distance when the elevators are packed (which was often). The room itself was spacious and had a pullman bed and pull out bed. My daughter spent the whole week in the pullman and seemed fairly comfortable as she was only complaining about my snoring and not the bed. The walk-in closet was great and the bigger bathroom was very nice. The bathtub/shower is only partially enclosed, which was weird and led to wet floors after a shower. There were at least 4 AC outlets and 2 USB outlets in the room which was plenty for us. There is no clothesline but we brought plenty of magnetic hooks and used those to hang wet bathing suits without any problems. We had a standard room attendant (not a genie) who was easily the best room attendant we have ever had. (Fwiw his name is Iwayan and he is from Indonesia.) I wouldn’t have booked the room at its initial cost of $2000 more than our original room, but now that I’ve experienced it I will probably book it again in the future. As for the food… For a little background, we're more Outback / Olive Garden level diners in the real world as opposed to Ruth Chris Steakhouse types. We ended up eating at speciality restaurants 4 nights and Johnny Rockets for lunch one day. In general the food quality was much better than the other venues and quite enjoyable overall. We dined at Wonderland on embarkation day and got a table with a great view overlooking the boardwalk area at night. While Wonderland was as much an experience as a meal, for us it was very slow between courses and the food was weird. While it was enjoyable and filling it was not an experience we would choose to repeat. 150 Park and Jamie’s Italian had excellent food and faster serving times, though it was still a bit slow for us. Chops was excellent all around and would happily dine there again. We ended up eating at Johnny Rockets with two of our friends and everybody seemed to enjoy the food quite a bit. My wife thought the burgers were a bit greasy but that was the only negative comment in the group. The rest of our meals were primarily from the Windjammer with a few visits to the Solarium. The Windjammer was OK though quite noisy and crowded. We preferred the Solarium overall but the selection was more limited than the Windjammer. In the future we would probably skip the specialty dining entirely and concentrate on scheduled dining in the main dining room. As a side note, our friends tried on multiple nights to get seated as a group of seven in the main dining room for anytime dining. They were not allowed to make reservations at all and when they showed up for standby seating the were turned away. It made such a poor impression I doubt they will sail with Royal Caribbean again. For the ports we visited Coco Cay, Costa Maya, Roatan, and Cozumel. At Coco Cay our group bought waterpark passes and had a good time. I tried snorkeling over by Chill Island but didn’t see anything worth mentioning. I think the waterpark tickets were overpriced but I’d probably buy them again. In Costa Maya my daughter and I booked a two tank dive directly with Doctor Dive, and in Roatan we booked a two tank dive with Sun Divers. Both experiences were excellent and priced reasonably. I would easily book with either again but if I had to choose a favorite I would take Sun Divers again over Doctor Dive. Sun Divers provided the transportation and they had an excellent bar next door to hang out in while waiting for a ride back. (If you go say hi to Leslie the Irish ex-pat bartender and don’t forget to get a lap dance from bar security.) I would also say the reef was more vibrant in Roatan. My wife chose to shop with friends in both ports. Costa Maya had a better port but the shops were very redundant. Roatan is currently working on expanding their port but for some reason they liked the limited shopping there better. For Cozumel we decided to go to Xcaret via an excursion offered by Royal Caribbean. Xcaret was great but we really needed more time there. The travel in each direction was about 2 hours and included a very bumpy ferry ride and bus ride. We had a relatively calm day on the ferry crossing but they still needed to hand out quite a few vomit bags. After all the travel was done we were left with a little under 5 hours at Xcaret. We got back to the ship late which left no time to shop in port at all. Overall, I’m glad we went, but I wouldn’t repeat it or necessarily recommend it to others. Onboard ship we saw three shows and tried the escape room. We enjoyed the shows and would probably book them again on a future cruise. The escape room was enjoyable but I probably wouldn’t repeat it unless they changed the puzzle. Members of our group also tried the slides, mini-golf, zipline, pools, and carousel and seemed to enjoy them. The self serve ice cream machine was a big hit with everybody. We didn’t do any shopping on board and the few watches I was interested in were cheaper on Amazon. We got the internet package for 2 devices and it worked well but I didn’t personally use it much. We also got the deluxe beverage package and got our value out of it without too much effort. For disembarkation we chose to use the luggage valet service and self disembark at 7am. Luggage valet was $25 per person and well worth the price. We tagged our 6 checked bags the night before and had them in the hallway by 10pm. We didn’t see them again until we got them at the airport when we got home the next day. We got off the ship just after 7am, picked up our rental car at National, and arrived at Orlando International by 8:15am. Dropping off the car at National was very quick and since our boarding passes were pre-printed by Royal Caribbean we were through security and at the gate by 9am. While we got there very quickly from the ship I would still never book a flight before 1pm or so. If you are unlucky enough to get a coast guard inspection it can delay everyone’s disembarkation by hours. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and would happily do it again. On our next cruise… We will buy the deluxe beverage package. We won’t buy the dining package. We will book private excursions as long as they are close to the ship. We will get a scheduled time to dine in the main dining room. We will use the luggage valet service and probably use Southwest earlybird check in. We will probably book at least a Jr. Suite, having the elbow room and closet was worth it. We will always fly in the day before the cruise to reduce stress levels. Read Less

This was our family's third cruise. We have kids ages 7 and 8 that came with us and thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip. Previously, we cruised on an older Carnival ship (Ecstasy) and Disney Magic. We loved Disney for the food, larger staterooms, and Disney activities/characters. Our cruise on Harmony was full but it never felt too crowded. We were sure to book all of our shows at 90 days beforehand and got all the times we wanted. The shows were wonderful. Our favorites were the aqua shows and ventriloquist. The sports staff were amazing and we tried nearly all the sports...zipline, boogie boarding, miniature golf, rock climbing, slides, and others. The main dining room was mostly excellent. Service was great, no complaints there. We usually finished within 1.5 hrs which was perfect for our kids as they cannot sit longer than that. We enjoyed almost every dish we had. The sides were usually repetitive but were good. We only did the Windjammer once for dinner but we loved all the choices. Breakfast at all complimentary locations were all about the same, nothing that stood out there. The desserts were lacking at all places except the MDR. Most desserts were mousse style and not very sweet. The staterooms were clean and our steward was very nice. The bed was very firm so after the first night I asked guest services to correct this and they did immediately. Our bed was much softer the second night and very comfortable. The toilets flushing in rooms above and below are very loud so we requested a box fan to use and this helped some. Our kids only went to Adventure Ocean twice. Our oldest said the boys were too rough and did not want to go back. It seems they play a lot of games that involve running or throwing balls and she got hit a couple times. I think if she had went to the club in the morning or afternoon it would not have been as crowded or chaotic. Overall, we loved our cruise and would definitely consider RCI again. We do not love the Caribbean ports so will likely choose another destination next time. Highly recommend Harmony of the Seas. Read Less

Western Caribbean 7 night cruise, family with 1 teenage son. From a very speedy embarkation through to the just as speedy disembarkation the week was great. We never had a bad meal and our very picky teenager always found something to eat. We did my time dining and the food and service was excellent. Plenty to do on board for the kids as well as the adults. The ship never felt overcrowded even when we had a day of rain, so many places for people to disperse to. Never had a problem getting a bed round the pool and the shop was at capacity. Drinks package was well worth it for us not just for the alcohol but also the bottled water and specialty coffee during they day. Outside balcony cabin was they biggest cabin we have ever had on any ship with a bigger than average shower cubicle. This was our 3rd Royal Caribbean cruise but the 1st on a huge ship and It didn’t disappoint. Read Less

We have always cruised with Royal Caribbean and enjoyed all our cruises, but this time I felt I had to write this review. To begin with, the ship is way too big! You can't get from one end of the ship to the other without changing decks. We have always found our way around on ships by the first day, but this time it took forever! Central Park is a joke! We walked through it one time - nice if you like trees! There were so many people and kids, the lines to go anywhere were super long. And don't do anything out of the ordinary or you will have to pay for it. The royal shop was the smallest I have ever seen on a ship, and nothing there worth buying. CoCo Cay was a nice island, but it is mainly for young adults and kids; and again, expensive. Rotan was a horrible mess! They are still building the dock and all you see is dirt and construction workers! I must say that Costa Maye was one of the pretties ports we have every been at. Everything you wanted to do was right there, no need to go into town. Now - Johnny Rockets was a night mare, the staff was slow, the food was bad, and the wait was horrible. My advice, if going on a cruise, forget this one and go to the next size lower ship; like Freedom or Indepence, a lot better Read Less

This was our first time on the Sun and will be our last. We booked a mini suite which exceeded our expectations. Our room steward was excellent. The specialty restaurants were very good especially Los Lobos and Cagneys. The main dining room was ok for dinner but a horror for breakfast., everything came out cold, and we were always waiting for something, milk, sugar, butter. The buffet lacked so much, and was so repetitive on many occasions we walked out with nothing and there was nowhere else on the ship you could eat. We really missed O'Sheehans. The entertainment was pretty good and the casino was more than adequate for gamblers. The configuration of the ship was not good. You had to walk thru venues to get to other venues. For example, you had to walk thru the bliss lounge to get to the end of the ship. If something was going on, the lights were out and you were feeling your way around to get thru. This was how it was throughout the ship. Not real good for older people. In general, an ok cruise on an ok ship. Read Less

This was my husband and I first time on a cruise we loved everything about this trip! Didn’t even want to get down to go back home, would totally go again!!! Super good with service and cleaning. Room was cleaned twice a day in the morning and half way through the day. Staff made us feel welcome and treat us great. Getting down at the ports was really easy and we had no trouble with anything. we did two excursions one in costa maya and other in Cozumel both were great. When choosing what you want to do just make sure you read everything and choose the one you want less expensive ones are also super fun. I Only thing I would had change was that I should had got a drinking package to expensive if you try to just get drinks while being there but other then that everything was great. It was a great way to get away from everything in your day to day live and spend time with your significant other. My husband loved it also well. Read Less

Not the best cruise I've been on. We have sailed on Norwegian before, and looked forward to doing so again. The embarkation process was smooth and easy, but that was the best part. The food was mediocre at best, especially in the buffet which had limited choices and was usually very crowded. They only use paper straws, which makes enjoying a frozen drink impossible as they collapse half way through. The only smoking area (besides the casino) is at the very top of the ship - so windy you couldn't enjoy. There wasn't a lot of fun activities. The announcements by the cruise director were impossible to understand due to the poor accent. The weather prevented us from disembarking at Great Stirrup Cay which we were looking forward to. I would have expected a refund of our port fees, but after repeated requests, that never happened. Unlikely I will choose Norwegian in the future. Read Less

Background: This cruise was our first NCL cruise. We are four star (22 cruises) HAL cruisers. We chose this particular cruise as an impromptu getaway. Port Canaveral is an easy drive from our home and this cruise was more of a ship destination for us than a port destination. Given some of the dreadful reviews we had low expectations. We traveled in a Penthouse Suite therefore our experience may be a bit skewed from the other reviews due to the fact we were literally waited on hand and foot and we were able to escape the masses if we chose. I cannot say enough about our Butler and Concierge. They are indeed the most thoughtful, lovey and professional individuals we have ever met on the high seas. The Sun is an older ship (18 years) and was refurbished in 2018. The Sun's decor is a pleasing with lots of wood detailing. She sailed smooth with minimal motion or vibration. Her wear and tear appeared minimal however there was at times a strong smell of sewage in some of the hallways. On one particular evening, in our cabin, after several calls, (4 to be exact) to guest services, it was determined we required several members of the housekeeping staff to wipe down the cabin walls with a disinfectant as the sewage smell was overbearing. Hey, "Ship Happens" and due to the response of guest services and the housekeeping staff at 4 am, we were able to resume sleep and enjoy the next day. Ok, enough about that "Ship." Parking: Parking was plentiful and appeared safe in Port Canaveral Garage 10. Right across from the Ship. Embarkation: Outstanding Service all the way around - Note: Suite PAX have a separate check-in area. Here is where we first met who explained Suite offerings and from there we were personally escorted on board to enjoy a great lunch in Cagney's. We were in our cabin by 12:30p immediately thereafter there was a knock on our door and we met our Butler. Our luggage arrived by 2:30pm and the muster drill was outside on deck at 3:30pm until several rude and annoying late comers later - 4:20pm. What the hell is the matter with horribly ignorant people that you cannot get to a mandatory, well advertised and announced drill on time? (there I had my say;-). Dining: As Suite PAX we were able to dine in Cagney's for both breakfast and lunch, which we did on several days, of course that was great and we also had dinner there several times as well - absolutely exceptional fare and the service was impeccable. We did have room service twice. Francis handles this and it was perfect and on point both times. We had a couple lunches in Moderno, wherein you can make your own sandwiches, you will also find pizza here and it was ok. Moderno for lunch was always kept clean and fresh. We did have a breakfast once in the Garden Cafe (Buffet) however it was later in the morning and it was pretty good. We tried lunch the the GC one day but it was just a "Ship Show" so to speak as it was crowded and food appeared sloppy. We also ate dinner in the Sports Pub one night - service great but food was nothing special. We also had dinner in both Dining Rooms (Seven Seas and Four Seasons) Both were great but we preferred the atmosphere of the Seven Seas over the Four Seasons. Note: Shorts are thankfully not allowed in the Seven Seas (for goodness sake men, put some pants on for dinner:-). Bars - Most were always crowded, therefore always a wait time. Drinks were great and wine selection was plentiful. My favorite bartender is Sophia in the Champagne Bar before dinner. Rude dude later night bartender in The Bliss Lounge- you know what you did buddy. Entertainment - Was hands down just fun, great and entertaining. Note Suite PAX have special seating in the Theater so we had great seats for any night we attended. Pool Area - If you enjoy incredibly loud, ear piercing music, during the daylight hours, this is most definitely the spot for you! Me not so much, yeah like not at all. During the day the music is blaring, no kidding, and if the performers are there, well look out honey. Thankfully there are enough spaces on board the beautiful Sun to move away from the noise pollution or perhaps bring some earplugs.... Exercise options- The lovely Sun has a full and pretty wide Promenade for both walking and jogging, so if you are a walker or a jogger, you will be very happy. The gym is great as well. Plenty of up to date options. We did not join in an exercise group so cannot comment on that. Staff and Service- We found The Sun to have professional, wonderful, kind, caring, appreciative and proud staff/team members from the Captain to his entire crew! There were only 2 staff members we encountered that should perhaps find another profession, but who knows their struggles so who am I to say. In service you reap what you sow. So as a guest be nice, be kind, try some thoughtfulness because it typically goes a long way. It's so annoying reading some of these reviews about the staff/team members as these wonderful, hardworking folks work such long hours, doing repetitive back aching labor for minimum compensation. Oh and if you don't appreciate that commentary...tough, it's my review. Casino- Smoking is allowed - therefore we avoided. Art Show - Did not attend - shows are mostly during the afternoon hours. Shopping Area- It's laid out nicely - several nice pieces and unique items and they have fun games and giveaways. Disembarkation - Suite PAX are escorted off away from the masses. Huge perk! Would I/We recommend the Sailing on the Sun? Yes, Of Course, but only in a Suite:-) Note: I would have given this cruise an overall "Excellent" if it were not for the overbearing sewage smell issue in the Suite on that one fateful night. The vacation turned out very well. We went to beautiful ports, had excellent waitstaff, and a beautiful room. But the Harmony of the Seas was too big, crowded, and very poorly managed. This was my 2nd cruise on Harmony of the Seas out of Port Canaveral and my observations for both cruises are the same. My studio cabin 4678 was beautiful. It had everything found in a standard cabin, just much smaller. The window was about 5 feet around, and I really enjoyed this small room at its much smaller price. The ship looks beautiful. Nice color scheme, very pretty. Very clean. The wait staff, cabin steward and Guest Services were top notch, The Western Carib ports were my favorites and we had a wonderful time. But I'll NEVER again take such a big ship and because of how mismanaged this ship was, I'll avoid Harmony of the Seas. There were two stacks of elevators, 24 elevators total. It mustr have sounded like a lot when they designed the ship, but in practical use, it was a huge failure. Wait times for the elevators and the crowding inside them was inexcusable. It could take 20 minutes to wait for the elevator. The dining room was packed crowded. Tables were so close the chairs touched each other. There was no room to walk to the seat. No room to pull back the chair to pick up a dropped napkin. We had reservations for dinner at the same time each night with the same waitstaff. Not oly did we always have to wait, but they always tried to move us to a different waiter. They were never ready for us and it was always a problem. The noise level was unbearable for me. Much of the activity, snacks, bars, etc was in the Promenade. With the parades and parties, this area was packed and the noise level was too much. After dining hours, the only available coffee was at the pay coffee shop. There was no place to get a cup of coffee and a cookie. The Soda Package soda machines were very limited and the one in the Windjammer was unavailable after meal times. Lines for these machines could be very long. Yes, I had a great vacation. But I have had better cruise experiences on other ships and cruise lines. Harmony of the Seas was too big, crowded, and crazy for my tastes. Read Less

Great ship that never really felt crowded and has plenty to do. We brought our two teenage boys. Staff was very friendly and the food was slightly above average. Not as good as an Celebrity Cruise but equal to Norwegian. Cabin - we had a 14th floor balcony. I felt the balcony was nice but not worth much since we rarely used it. Clean and well laid out. Entertainment - the entertainment was a large step up from prior cruises and we greatly enjoyed all shows. We felt it was a little better than Disney (of course we had no little kids) and way better than Norwegian. The Key - this is a waste of money. Two meals are nothing special. Special hours at activities are very limited and at odd times making them inconvenient. Never used the early off boarding since we were on excursions. VIP seating was very limited and we ended sitting in regular seats anyhow. I suggest just buying the internet separately and saving the money for some drinks. Read Less

I'm a proud Royal Caribbean Crown and Anchor member but I felt Harmony was a disappointment. It felt like more passengers were added without any expansion for accommodation. Pool chairs literally touch each other side to side. Elevator wait times were extensive (my mom cannot navigate stairs well). Bar lines were quite long. Comfort wise, those pool chairs and the lack of mini fridges (a cooler is beyond inadequate) were the worst. On the pro side, most staff were as wonderful as we've come to expect. The food was amazing and the shows were pretty good. The Escape Room was our favorite activity but the highlight for us was the Salute to Military and First Responders. Beautiful, moving and well-deserved. I look forward to my return to Allure/Oasis or Freedom class. Harmony is great for on-the-go thrill seekers, I guess, but relaxation didn't seem to be a focus at all. It's just too crowded. Read Less

My recent September cruise on Harmony to Rotaan etc., was definitely one of the more disappointing experiences. The Good: Overall ship condition: Excellent. Food: Good. Service: Excellent from stateroom attendant to waiters in the dining room. VROOM worked well. If you are in your twenties … or had several drinks, the shows probably suited you just fine. Grease was ok, but the Columbus show had bad singing and poor ‘acting’. The Fine Line aqua show was a mismash of swim and acrobatics with no unifying theme – and much more emphasis on tumbling than acqua activities. The parade was poor - nowhere as good as previous years. The cruise director was surprisingly boring and virtually missing in person. He was on TV helping to sell the usual cruise stuff! So .. ballroom dance music is advertised in Boleros for 5 - 7 pm. Sad to say … RCCL ballroom is Latin only … no dances such as waltz or foxtrot! RCCL seems to be gradually convincing their older clientele that they should give up cruising - Harmony is definitely geared toward young families. My family and I, 11 individuals total, booked a family vacation and birthday cruise for myself. Days one through five on a seven day cruise were Horrible! We reported incidents to Guest Services as they occurred and there was little to no follow through. It took three requests for beds to be separated in one of the cabins, four of the six rooms were not clean nor being cleaned daily, the food was average and sometimes served old or cd, initial wait staff was rude and inconsiderate, dinner tables were separated versus together as booked, several activities on schedule unavailable due to lack of staff, elevators were not functioning properly, charged for birthday cake before receiving it that was not ordered and had to prove it was an error, venues for shows not adequately sized which led to people sitting on floors and stairs, specialty restaurant vouchers given could not be used due to over booking, and incorrect billing for beverage items included in package. After several attempts at resolution and promises to “make it right” nothing was done to appropriately remedy the situation. Definitely not worth the money spent and won’t do it again! They just have to many guest and not enough crew. If you wanted to get somewhere leave a half hour early so you could stand a wait for a elevator then stand in line for whatever you wanted. You were always waiting in line for everything. Excursions were good. Crappy day at coco kay should some that up. Why would you have no shade and smoking where the tram would pick you up???? That one blows even my mind. Need to start all over with this ship. Either less passengers or more crew members, but I would do both to help you out. Just a thought. Read Less

Embarkation was really easy with plenty of shire staff to answer questions, we didn’t have to wait long for even though we had arrived about an hour early. We chose an inside cabin as we knew we wouldn’t be in it for that long. Our Stateroom Stewart was lovely and our cabin was always kept extremely clean and well maintained, love the different towel animals left everyday. We did three organise excursions: The Secret River - very interesting and informative excursion deep under the caves in Cozumel, lovely clear, cool water and an amazing memory. Laughed a lot. Maya Ruins - Belize, quite a long bus drive on potholed roads. However the river cruise on a speed boat and then the walk to the ruins, again very informative guide who knew her history. I was amazed that e were allowed on climb up to the top - awesome view. Routan - we took a taxi/boat to Little French Key, an amazing small island that is also a rescue centre. This felt like paradise and it wasn’t very busy with lots to do. Mayan Coast - last Knute decision to go and swim with the dolphins, I was a bit apprehensive about this as I thought they might there as performers for us tourists but after enquiring they really do look after their animals with care. This was a Greta experience and so glad we did it in the end. We generally only ate breakfast and diner and I cannot complain about any of the meals and our server was extremely helpful. We only ate at the Lido area a couple of times and again nothing wrong with any of the choices we made. We had diner at the 555 Steakhouse one night and this was lovely, although the steak in the main dining area was just as good, it was much more personal and luxurious in the atmosphere. The entertainment was outstanding and the main playlist production theatre shows were amazing, I understand that due to the stage manager having an accident that two of the main production shows had to be changed to concert shows but rather than cancelling the cast put on a last minute show for us - well done guys. I loved the fact that there was live music at different parts of the ship and they didn’t overwhelm each other, from the country singers, trio of violinists, the High Seas group, piano man, comedy club...I loved it all. When I first booked my cruise on the Breeze I needed a quick get away and was happy it fit my schedule. I did very little research on the ship as I was fairly confident it would be a set up from my prior cruise on the Miracle. The final few days leading up I noticed on social media Breeze has quite the following so I allowed myself to get a excited. Unfortunately, if it weren’t for the friends I vacation with my sailing on the Breeze would’ve been a complete disappointment. As a vacationer I’m pretty easy going. I enjoy relaxing and having some good meals and drinks along the way. Sadly, the Breeze failed me in each category. First, my entire group was very disappointed by the entertainment as a whole. Several members mentioned there “wasn’t much to do on the ship.” I made an effort to enjoy the Spa and while the services were decent I was amazed that Carnival were willing to charge for a day pass when a good portion of the equipment was not working correctly. Now for the most disappointing part. The food was atrocious. The buffet, when it was actually open, was of terrible quality. So bad, we all decided to skip the place all together. The pizza counter struggled to keep up with demand and served lame half pizzas that you would see at a theme park. Leaving the burger joint which admittedly was pretty decent and the main dining room as the only none up-charge meals. For me the main highlight from prior cruises are the experiences you get from the nightly dining. Well, on the Breeze the only experiences I got stained the whole trip. Every the meal took 2.5+ hours to be served. More often than not my requests would go ignored such as asking for a second appetizer. Note, I wasn’t asking for crazy quantities of food just an additional appetizer. So bad that on one occasion I was told the kitchen is closed. To top it of the food we did receive was tasteless across the board. I was so fed up I gave the sushi place a try and while it was okay the menu was ridiculously limited. Not all can be bad though right? Surely with a little booze everything will be alright. For this cruise I sprung on the drink package which is suppose to include all drinks up to $20. Without a doubt the worst decision of the cruise. It wasn’t as simple as ordering a drink and getting it. Every time it was a hassle which usually revolved around the bartender informing me what I can have not what I want. I’m sorry but for $858/2 adults your drinks shouldn’t be limited to premixed well garbage. I purchased the premium internet in order to complete a few things for work. During the 7 day sailing I was able to use the Internet well for maybe 30 minutes. It was a complete failure. Lastly, the Western Caribbean itinerary needs some reworking. Costa Maya is extremely limited as a port and the Belize tender situation is painful. I would not recommend this ship. Read Less

Staff were fantastic except 1 man at guest services. Besides that really could not fault anything. We had inside cabin as doing Alaskan cruise 2 weeks later. Saved balcony for that one. Inside we were actually impressed. Size was not to bad as had smaller. We enjoyed a cafe on deck 8 it was called park cafe located in central park. We are there for breakfast and some lunches. We went to chops and grill. That was our favorite. Wonderland was good and different. Worth a try. Central 150 good to. We were not totally impressed with Izimu hibachi as had better .also we would not rave about Jamie Oliver's. Shore Excursion were good. We just think it was a great experience. Shows and the entertainment were world class. Best we seen on a cruise ship and I've done 21 cruises. Best cruise Director ever I have seen on a cruise. My husband and I have been on many cruises and we have been on two Royal Caribbean before, but never on a ship this large. I was worried that it would be so crowded, but that was not our experience. SHIP The ship itself was beautiful. There were so many areas to explore. Central Park with the live trees was really nice as well as the boardwalk with the carousel. The main promenade has lots of shops and restaurants and was decorated nicely. There was the bionic bar, and the rising tide bar. There were many venues for music and dancing. There were waterslides, the abyss (a dry water slide) an ice skating rink, two rock climbing walls, a miniature golf area, ping pong tables, a basketball court, 2 flow rider areas and a water stage area for performances. CABIN We chose an inside cabin and were on deck 8 which was a great location. The cabin was laid out nicely and there was plenty of storage. Our room steward was good, not great. He made towel animals 3 out of the 7 nights. Room was always clean and he came twice a day. ENTERTAINMENT Entertainment was excellent. We saw all of the shows. Grease was fantastic with a very talented cast. We saw two ice shows. The second one, I-Skate was really good. The first one 1887 about the French Revolution was a little strange, but still good skating. There were two comedians we saw at the Attic and in the theater. They were both excellent and we laughed constantly. They also had a headliner who was a juggler/comedian and he was really great too. Very warm and interacted with the audience and really entertaining. The water show at the aqua theater was good too. There was one strange guy who was spinning a lot but the things they did from the diving to flying in the air, to walking a tightrope, to the synchronized swimming was fantastic. They also had 2 parades through the promenade which were nice and they had karaoke every night which was actually fun and lots of music and dancing in different clubs. They had some belly flop and cannonball contests in the pool on sea days and those were very funny although very crowded. The only show we thought was very strange was Columbus, the musical. It was a comedy musical based on Christopher's cousin. They sang modern songs and it was the same cast who performed Grease. Definitely our least favorite. But overall the entertainment was top notch. Make sure you make all reservations before getting on the ship for the shows. They are all free and then you don't have to stand in a standby line and hope to get in. DINING We had breakfast at Windjammer most mornings. Food was good but it was usually very crowded. We ate also a few times at the Solarium Bistro for breakfast. They had the same things that they had at Windjammer on a smaller scale, but it was much quieter and calm. If we were on ship during the day (only 2 sea days), we would eat at the Doghouse (good hotdogs in the boardwalk area) or at Minibites for hotdogs, hamburgers, nachos, etc. Once we went to the Windjammer for lunch. There was also soft ice cream on the pool decks that was really popular. When we boarded, we ate at the Park Café and it was very nice with paninis, salads, etc. For dinner we chose my time dining because we didn't want to be stuck to a set time. We did make reservations before getting on the ship for all dinners which is very smart to do. We ate at the Icon Grill on deck 3 and had the best waiter and helper ever. We ended up requesting them every night and were able to sit in the same place. Our guys were Iwayan and Ketut and they were beyond fantastic, catering to our every need. We were with friends so there were 4 of us each night. All food was good and there were plenty of choices every night. Sometimes we even got two appetizers because there were so many great things to choose from. High praise for the food and staff at American Icon. We also had pizza at Sorrentos one night after a show. It was okay. SERVICE Service overall was great. All workers were pleasant, helpful and said hello. No complaints at all. PORTS Coco Cay- was fantastic. We have been to many cruise ship islands and hands down, this was the best. They have everything there and it is laid out so nicely. The beach areas were great with a ton of chairs and umbrellas. There is also a huge pool with a swim up bar, large enough for 2,200 people!! They had a DJ and the pool although crowded, was really fun. They had some kid areas for them to play and with the waterpark, that left the pool to have more adults which was nice. There was ziplining, for a fee, a cool hot air balloon ride for a fee, and an awesome looking water park (which was expensive) but lots of families were there and it looked really cool. There were 3 places for lunch and the food was the best and most varied of any ship's island food we had. Top notch and it was nice that there were 3 different places to get your food so depending where you sat, you went to the closest place and it was not overly crowded. We really had a great day there. Kudos to RC for making their island so great. There were also plenty of little shops and stores that sold Bahamian goods. It really was a perfect day at Coco Cay. Costa Maya-nice port and so many things to do right at the port if you didn't want to leave. We did a tour not with the cruise as I can always find better, less expensive , smaller tours on my own. We went with Native Choice tours and they were great. We went to Chacchobben Ruins and to Bacalar 7 colors lake and had lunch. We had a great tour guide and a very nice day. Roatan-we went to Little French Key as we have been there before and love it. It's a small private island with everything included and there is so much to do there. Great day. Cozumel-We have been there many times and this time decided to make a reservation at Mr. Sanchos beach club. This was $55 pp for all you can eat and drink all day. The place was great. It included kayaks and the ocean was beautiful and so clear. They had two pools with swim up bars. The entire staff was great and worked their butts off. There was lots of shopping there too. Highly recommend for a relaxing day. EMBARKATION AND DISEMBARKATION Both went very smoothly and no problems whatsoever. Good system they have. Although the ships holds 6,600 passengers and we were told it was full, it never felt overly crowded. Things were spread out really nicely. We loved their nightly themed parties in the promenade that had 80's and 90's, etc. We loved trivia at the Schooner Bar and loved the informal talk and questions with the captain and some of the head officers. One of the nicest thing I have ever seen was a tribute they did to all of the Veterans. It was held on the last sea day. The captain, cruise director, and head hotel guy all were elevated at the rising tide bar with an American flag draped and recognized all Veterans from all wars who served and people that have passed. There were a lot of Veterans on board visibly moved. They had a bugle player play taps, had a moment of silence, then our cruise director, Dennis sang a beautiful rendition of the star spangled banner while all of the ships officers lined the promenade. The chef even made a gigantic American flag cake for the passengers to enjoy afterward, The entire event was really moving and really nice. Kudos to RC!! The pool areas were crowded as they always are especially on sea days, but that is expected so although you are like sardines, it's okay. Because you can also use the water slides (3 of them), zipline, rock climb, use the flow rider, play golf, basketball, ping pong, etc. as another option besides the pool. There were plenty of chairs in the pool area so we were always able to find something. We have no kids so we cannot speak about that but they did have a great kid pool section for the little ones. The gym and spa also seemed nice although we did not use them, we walked through. Overall, a fantastic vacation on a truly beautiful ship with so many things to do!! Read Less

We got to the port around noon and was disappointed to find a long line at security. It took about 30 minutes to get through the line. After getting on board, it took another 20 minutes to get through the line at the buffet. I guess we got there at the same time as everyone else, because after that there was no line. For the muster drill, they let you meet in different areas, but did not allocate enough space. Our number was in a small part of the dining room, and we were forced to stand all packed together. They now show you a cheesy video that takes a while. The ship itself is impressive, and there are lots more activities than other ships we've been on before. However, there are also long lines sometimes. For the pizza, for the elevators (which sometimes seem to take forever), the flow rider, the zip line, and even for My Time Dining at certain times. We've done My Time Dining in its different forms on 3 cruise lines, and had never had the issues we had on this ship. On the first night, they insisted on giving me a regular reservation time of 5:15 even though I made it clear to them that was too early and I wouldn't be able to make it most nights. Then, every night when we go there later, usually around 6-6:30, they would lecture us about coming earlier the next day. Every night they did this. It was really ruining our experience. On lobster night, they sent us to the main dining room on the 4th floor, which apparently was a complete surprise to our waiter. He and the woman who was told to take us up there had an odd conversation about what we were doing there (since this was about an hour into the early set dining time). He tried to be polite to us, but you could tell he didn't want us there. I really don't understand why the dining staff at the Harmony made My Time Dining so hard. The entire point is to be able to come when you want, yet they tried to make us feel guilty every day for doing just that. The waiters themselves were actually quite good and efficient. I was impressed by how quickly the dinner service went, typically about and hour and 15 minutes or so. While there were a lot of activities scheduled on the ship, the staff running them often seemed unprepared, confused, or just bad. They had a different person running the trivia each day, and that person typically couldn't pronounce the questions (or answers) correctly. We've gone to tons of trivia sessions on numerous ship and have never run into this problem before. We even witnessed an argument between a passenger and a crew member over whether one of the answers was correct. This was also a first. For one of the dance sessions, the guy started 10 minutes late and ended 10 minutes early, for a 30 minute session that was actually was only about 10 minutes (3 songs). The dance and fitness sessions held by Sergio were great though. He was really the only entertainment staff member who seemed to take his job seriously. Most of the rest of them seemed like they were just going through the motions (and poorly at that). The staff at the windjammer buffet and the other dining locations were very efficient though. They would take your plate and clear the tables as soon as humanly possible. On several occasions in the windjammer, we had RC employees stop to ask how everything was and if we were happy with everything. The food in the dining rooms was pretty good, but lacked variety. The fool at the windjammer wasn't so good, especially for breakfast. The eggs were runny, the bacon didn't taste right, and the waffles/pancakes didn't taste fresh. They didn't seem to push alcohol as much on this cruise, which we appreciated because we don't drink. The kids got a non-alcoholic drink from the robot arm. Why do they charge a service charge for a robot-made drink? We had an ocean view balcony cabin which was nice. Unfortunately, we had a 'service animal' in the room next to us. It was a little fluffy shih tzu which would bark periodically. I don't know what service a shih tzu provides besides keeping his owner company, but it didn't seem quite right on a cruise ship. We got guarantee cabins which turned out to be a mistake, because RC put our kids in a cabin very far away from our cabin. We were given our cabin as soon as we booked, 4 months out, but our kids weren't given theirs until 2 weeks before sailing. We won't be booking a guarantee again. We had reservations for most of the shows, but that turned out to be unnecessary except for the first night (Grease) and the water show, which was always packed. Grease was inappropriate for children. The water show was impressive, but ours was cancelled halfway through due to the rain. The ice skating show was boring - our kids all left about 15 minutes in. The comedians they had were ok, not great. The kids enjoyed the juggler/comedian. We paid for the all digital photo package, which is $310 onboard, but they give you a $30 discount if you buy it within the first 2 days on the ship (it was only $250 online before the cruise). We got 300+ photos taken, and at least 100 of those were good ones - we even had them take individual photos of the kids - so we got our money's worth. Their photo kiosks only work during certain hours when manned by their photographers. That was annoying. After paying for the package, I was given a website I could go to to see all the photos I purchased. It didn't work that well, but they said it was still in the testing phase. Disembarkation was the smoothest we'd ever experienced. We were allowed to stay in our room until our number was called, immigration only took a minute as they do facial recognition now from the passports, and were walked right out of there with no wait. I went on this cruise because my brother was getting married on this ship. It was mostly enjoyable. Embarkation was very easy. Did the online pre check it. Did not have to wait in line much. Keys were in the room waiting. All rooms are ready at 1pm. We boarded the ship earlier, we just walked around the vessel and had quick lunch and Johnny rocket (12$ fee) The muster drill was very painful and useless. I understand no one enjoy those, but I appreciate to know what to do in emergency. My drill station was in the aqua theatre in the middle of summer outside under the sun. No one was listening the demonstration. And they had a problem with the sound, so we cannot hear anything. I don't even know where was my life jacket if something bad were to happen. I hope the ship will change that cause it is very dangerous. I have a balcony room with my husband near the middle back of the ship. The room was clean and very spacious. Very convenient for most of the places. We were on the 8th floor cannot near noises from outside public area except when passenger walked by, which is normal. BUT the room we had was a connecting room ... and the kids next door would have a crying episode everyday! And you can hear everything by the connecting door. It was awful! They should consider giving these room to people who want to have connecting rooms only!!! The ship is very big, but I find that we didn't have much public area where friends can hangout quietly. The only place that is open at all time is the cafe promenade, very small area. The windjammer (buffet) close at 8:45. It is waaaayyyyy too early. They didn't even leave a small section open for snack or getting drink. Side note the whole buffet is badly organize: One time we had to Line up to get in the windjammer.... I don't ever remember needing to line up for any buffet on cruises. Not line up to get food, line up to get in!!! Service of the crew member were mediocre. Many crew I pass by don't look happy. They are there because they have to kind of attitude in most of the crew in this ship. Even met a very grummy waiter, his name is Vincent serving in grande main dining room. No smile, didn't ask if we need anything more, always disappear, cannot find him except when he takes the order and bring the food. Very abrupt and impatient. We didn't even get to order drink. Lucky we didn't have to stay at his table. We move to Erik and Jonabell table, they were very pleasant and smiley. Patient with our order and request. They are sailing 2nd week with the ship so they are not fully familiar with everything but I appreciate them trying. Most of other crew member are not very happy "looking", one time even heard two member having a small argument in front of guest, quite unprofessional. Our room steward was very hard working kept my room very clean the whole week. Have some folding towel that makes me happy! The shows are very impressive and good. Like the aqua show and skating show. But the singing performance I didn't really like. They were very loud. Some singer sing almost every night at the promenade super loud and sometimes off key... or just sound like yelling or screaming. Maybe I just don't like loud. The guys who plays piano at the schooner bar was much more enjoyable. I had fun with the water slides and the ultimate abyss. Didn't get to the zip line and surf. Food quality is good. But they have no dessert that I enjoy. Every night is the same menu for dessert, with 2-3 new item per day. Disembarkation was very easy and fast. No line again just walk off the boat. I would for sure not choose this ship ever again, is a big ship that can hold lots of passenger with a few extra spot for activities, but badly organize and trying cut cost with things like buffet hours is awful. We went on this cruise for my brother's wedding. I was just on the Allure in Feb 2019 so I've experienced a large ship. But this time, it looked even more crowded, lines everywhere for everything. Line up to wash your hands for windjammer. The staff don't look happy at all. Copy pasted my review for Royal Caribbean: I really liked the friendliness of my wait staff on table 448 Erik and his assistant Jonabelle, they were both very approachable and excellent. On the first night, we were assigned to table 446 with Vincent, and he never smiled, just dumped menus on us, took our orders, grabbed the menus out of our hands, dumped the dishes on us, never asked if we wanted anything to drink, never asked if the food was ok, never asked us if we wanted coffee after meal. what kind of service is that?!! We're on a cruise, not at a fast food restaurant. if i ever get service like this back home, i would never go back to said restaurant. Needless to say, we switched tables the second night. windjammer's hours are RIDICULOUS!! you eat 5pm, finish a show, want to go up for some fruits, windjammer closed 8:45pm, 8pm no more fruits. no place to hang out with friends that has food past 8:45 except for Sorrento's or Park cafe and there's so much noise from poor live singing band. On the last night though, we found the Schooner's bar with good piano music and a good singing voice. Food was ok, I wouldn't go to a restaurant that serves this quality of food back home. Dessert was just sad, always the same desserts, again, I wouldn't pay for this quality of dessert back home. The warm chocolate cookie was good though but only served one night... The water slide staff were very pleasant and funny. Went to tour to visit Roatan, Honduras, it was good except they overbooked at last minute, everyone got on to the bus to realize there weren't enough seats, so we had to drive somewhere else to switch bus. This 39$ tour included the chocolate factory, it was interesting! Although my brother paid $25 booking with shore agencies. I didn't know Roatan is 2nd place to Australian for its coral reef. I would want to go back and do some snorkeling or learn scuba dive. Swam with Stingrays in Cozumel, it was very nice and the price was very decent $54. Photo package for two was $50USD, very reasonable compared to what they ask for Dolphins when I went two years ago. We also booked a kitchen tour with a special buffet, it was quite interesting to see behind the scenes of how the food is made. In resume, the main reason I enjoyed this vacation is because of the company I had in my family cruise party. Read Less

Outstanding Staff: Heru (cabin steward); Kevin (customer service desk); Melvina (cabin steward) The Great: - received a cabin upgrade; my 8 year old daughter had a fantastic time on the ship Dining: - Buffet meals in the morning and at lunch were mostly excellent - Supper was usually poor: meats were mostly dried out and of poor quality - when you name a dish a certain name (ie. Jerk Chicken; amaretto desert) ensure that it remotely tastes like said named dish - I have lived in the Caribbean for a number of years, and the Jerk chicken did not taste like Jerk chicken, not even remotely; the amaretto desert barely had a hint of amaretto; the coconut curry was poor overall, although it was closest to the name) - cooks very timid with the spices, very bland - wife ate the worst lasagna of her life, and she's not normally a picky eater - our table partners were far more disappointed with their meals than we were, and would agree that the food served at supper was sub-par - service was just okay, often slow, and at times would get orders wrong - nice people though Entertainment: - Aladdin was good - Magician was poor and kept constantly plugging his wares - Ventriloquist was very good - Comedian was good - rest of the shows - okay for the kiddies, but nothing to write home about Overall Onboard Experience: - excellent for my young child and wife, who spent a lot of time with the characters, at the movies, shows, boutique, tea time, etc. - poor overall experience for myself and my 13 year old boy who wanted to hang out - he's not into the characters and/or into the shows; we spent time on the basketball court, but there is only so much time you can spend with the sun beating down on you all day; - terrible pool experience: my 13 year old who is 6 feet 2 inches tall and looks 18 (three weeks prior a waiter at a restaurant asked him what kind of beer he wanted to drink) did not want to spend time in the kiddie pool with the 2, 3 and 5 year olds; nor did I, as I am over 6 feet myself - to have two grown men hang out with the little kiddies would not only look odd, but it was not something that we were interested in doing - so we went to the adult pool one night at about 10:00 p.m. - spend an hour there, and was great (it was empty) - next night we went again to hang out a bit and cool off, and this time a different attendant questioned his age and kicked him, even though there were only two other people there, and the two of us were behaving appropriately (we were being civilized, not loud, not disturbing anyone, etc.) - talked to Customer Service about the situation, and they were unwilling to budge and/or accommodate, even though I told them that my son would act appropriately, orderly, etc. and not disturb anyone - spoke to 4 managers in total - Yuki was very nice, but could not assist - after speaking to Yuki, two managers came to speak to me at the same time; I found that a bit "aggressive" of them - last manager by the name of Arief (apparently the top customer service manager on the ship) seemed a bit condescending (ie. Mr. "A" we have already discussed this with you...Mr. "A", I am not going to go over the same points that were already discussed"); I am not even sure that he correctly understood everything that I spoke to him about (seemed to have some difficulties understanding- English is my 4th of 5 languages, so there is no excuse that he should not have understood his customers) - overall, other than Yuki, I found the latter managers unwilling to listen; unwilling to use their heads and apply some discretion; all hid behind their "policies") - they all told me that my son and I could hang out together in the kiddie pool, or that my son could go to the teenage pool (true, he could, but then he'd be there by himself and I'd be by myself in the adult pool - not my idea of family time) - kept telling me that if they let my son in the pool, then they'd have to let all other teenage children in the pool (untrue - they gave me a cabin upgrade - they did not give everyone else on the ship an upgrade); we live in world full of policies, rules, etc.; exceptions to these policies and rules are made all the time based on individual circumstance (ie. people get a break from traffic tickets all the time; bureaucrats and politicians intervene in certain cases to make exceptions based on individual circumstances; etc.) - applying discretion is what allows our world to function more smoothly at times... Overall: The staff were nice overall, other than the higher-up client/customer service managers who were unwilling to provide the customer service that Disney supposedly prides itself on. At least for myself and my son, we did not in any way receive our money's worth - we could have done the same cruise with a different line anywhere from 50% - 65% cheaper. Movies on the television were limited. Even though we weren't on the cruise to watch movies, given the fact that my son was kicked out of the pool, we spent a fair amount of time in the room when not playing basketball, eating, at the shows, etc. Read Less

We chose this ship because it was going to Roatan, our favorite port stop. This was our 7th cruise and 2nd trip on the Breeze. The ship itself is starting to show her age. While we traveled on it they were touching up paint (much needed), and replacing the outdoor tv (missing many pixels). The staff and service onboard was excellent; enjoyed chatting with many of the crew. The ship is lacking allot of entertainment if you have teenagers with you. There were some sporting tournaments; however, they were geared towards adults only. At night you’d see hordes of teens with security not far behind. The buffet was lack luster- same thing for breakfast every morning, and no hash browns at all. The blur iguana is always an excellent choice for lunch and or breakfast. The pizza did not disappoint as I believe they have the best tasting out of any line. The embarkation process was very smooth; however, disembarkation was very poor and slow, compared to other lines we’ve been on. Read Less

I sailed with my two adult children and 8 yr old granddaughter. We chose this ship for her and the myriad of things for her to do. The ship is beautiful and my cabin, a superior balcony, was very roomy with a lot of storage. The balcony was roomy also, with two lounge chairs and foot rests. We dined in many different areas of the ship. The Icon restaurant, one of the main dining rooms we loved. The food was very good and many choices. Breakfast and lunch can be al a cart or buffet style. But patrons are allowed to do both if they desire. The buffet, was also good. We rotated all of them with the MDR except on formal nights. No dressing up for this group. There are many activities available for adults and children. My granddaughter enjoyed the children's club and the many slides and pools that were available. The shows were good and were enjoyed by all. Very talented people on board. Don't miss the Aqua show. The ports were not great, with Roatan, being the worst if you do not scuba. And most of all, the service was great. We had no complaints. The MDR waiters are attentive and helpful. Thank you to Chris at breakfast, and Win at dinner. Now, for the disappointments. We drove to Port Canaveral. There was no signage available, to guide us to the terminal. I rented a scooter from Special Needs Group and I was not pleased. The scooter would not hold it's charge and it just stopped twice and almost left me stranded. For this reason, I did not get off the ship. It was charged daily overnight and once in the afternoon for two hours, to get me through the evening. It should have some kind of odometer available to let the person how far they have traveled. I do not think I exceeded the distance, since I was just on the ship. I did file a claim and they said it would take one week to review. I am anxious to see what happens. Even with these problems, I would go on this ship again, only with a different itinerary. Read Less
