This was a 50th anniversary cruise for one set of grandparents. Stops included Nassau and Coco Cay. Three generations of extended family on board. The ship was beautiful and the crew very friendly and helpful. The balcony rooms were very clean and comfortable. Doni, our stateroom attendant was wonderful. Yes, they only service the rooms once a day now, but the room for our kids and grandchildren ...

I don't think I would choose this size of ship for a solo cruise again but I had a good time. The good was good, better than my last two cruises on Carnival. One of the specific items in the buffet (carving station) was always cold, other than that everything was proper temperature. MDR, Guy's burgers, pizza, Blue Iguana, all good. I had cuchina del capitano's free pasta bar for lunch one day ...

We booked this cruise for our 20th anniversary. We originally had an Ocean View cabin reserved, but a couple months before embarkation, decided to get a Balcony on Lido instead. The process to change rooms was easy, but required a phone call. The cabin was fresh and clean, if not a touch dated. There were a few patches of rust visible out on the balcony, understandable for a 16 year old ...

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

Embarkation went smoothly. I was at the port at 12:30PM and on the ship by 1:00PM. My luggage made it to my stateroom by 2:30PM. The ship was really nicely decorated for the holidays and the crew outstanding. AAA+ As a 60's + solo cruiser I prefer more of a tradition cruise experience and the Jewel fits that well. The Jewel is starting to show her age if you look closely, but overall ...

This was the first cruise I've ever taken. There was a lot of swaying on this sailing, but I heard there was a small casino ship that wasn't able to sail due to the choppy waters. If I stood for a couple of hours, my back would begin to hurt & would just need to sit or lay down. I asked experience cruisers, and they said that amount of swaying wasn't normal. Before my cruise, I read about some ...

We have cruised several times, both Carnival and Royal.....this cruise was selected based on the date of sailing, the cost and the ports. Overall we enjoyed the Carnival Freedom and would cruise on this ship again. The décor is a little outdated ( browns and oranges) but the service, overall ambiance and cleanliness met / exceeded out expectations. We had a port side balcony room- the room was a ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Mariner of the Seas

This was my first cruise in 20 years, I picked the Mariner due to its smaller size and leaving from a Port closer to home. I found ship to be very well maintained for its age. We had an interior cabin on the 8th floor near the elevators and didn't experience any noise issues. All crew members we encountered were friendly and helpful. We ate dinner in main dining area every night at 5:30, we had a ...

The service was great we were roomed on deck 8 and our cleaning service guy was amazing, i did not get his name though. Two others stuck out as well we had dinner at 8pm on deck 5 in the dining room of the ship and our waiters Anthony Ming, and Agostino were the best by far. They deserve recognition for how great their customer service was. They made our trip for sure, really kind and funny guys, ...

We chose the Dec 1 cruise out of Port Canaveral because we planned to be in Orlando from Dec 5-8 and the cruise returned on the 5th. It had been 20 years since our last cruise. Our embarkation was speedy with the help of Carnival. I had requested a wheelchair assist. The Carnival representative who assisted was wonderful! As were the staff screening passports and taking photos for security. Once ...

We arrived into Orlando from London Heathrow a day before the cruise departure. We didn't have any clue about the incoming hurricane Nicole. Its only when we switched on the local TV in the Orlando hotel we were staying at, that we found out that hurricane Nicole was going to make landfall in 2 days time. Shortly after we got an email from NCL that the ship would leave 2 hours earlier the ...
