We were part of a group. The food was awful, but the service was great. I believe the cruise lines are trying to force people to pay for upgraded food. I miss the old days of cruising. I also miss the days where you paid tips to those who deserve it. This overall tipping across the board is not fair and then at the end of the cruise you've got cruise line employees standing around looking for extra tips. We're not made of money! The ship was clean. Not sure about the entertainment. We missed the shows. However, we did see the Aqua show, which was awesome. RCCL needs to up their game with the food. Years ago, we only wanted to go on one cruise line and that was Royal Caribbean. Now, not so much. Chops Grille is far too expensive. We couldn't afford $45pp. The gift shop was pitiful. Not worth the visit. Read Less

sailed on sunshine before . wanted to go back . This cruise was ; the cruise from hell. Whatever could go wrong , did. Major problem was FTTF. Delayed on check-in, boarded with non FTTF guest. No stickers put on cabin cards waited in long line at front desk to get them put on. confirmed Reservations for dinner not honored. when talked to dining staff, told them of reservations made a year ago, they just dismissed me and said sorry. Cabin was not ready when we boarded plus the air was not working. took two days to get it working half way . Luggage arrived after everyone on our floor got theirs; then 2 pieces didn't show up until very late in the day. the only thing that worked on FTTF was getting off the ship. We are repeat cruisers on Carnival and unfortunately, we noticed how their service has gone downhill over the last 3 years. Before that , the service was excellent. Carnival should be more honest with people who purchase FTTF . Tell them that not all aspects of it work. For people who purchase it just to get on and get off quicker, more power to them, I will no longer waste my money on a program where only one or two of the perks work. Read Less

1st cruise ever, we chose a short one. We will be back...longer! Room with balcony of sits and table. Excellent service room care. Dining service of care, especially Gluten Free issues for us, was passionate and delicious. So many eating areas available; main dinning room, Windjamer buffet just two of the many we loved. Outside and inside pools, decks and decks outside sitting. So many shows in theatre and bars/lounges. Casino and fun games in bars/lounges. Honestly if you couldn't find it...just ask. Need assistance, just ask...doctor and three nurses. Transfer to islands so easy. Options for the islands are there. Walk, ride via carriage, bus, taxi, tours...pick what you want. Food, beaches, souvenirs. How about ride to the ocean and ride submarine to see the fish, turtles and corals. Ask Bahama people where THEY go to eat out. Anyone can eat McDonald's...you should eat Conch food or local fish, the local way. You will be thrilled. Not an activity person? Enjoy relaxation and food, you will be thrilled. Read Less

Embarkation was a breeze. This was my friend's first cruise and they let us go through priority processing. She was definitely impressed with everything the ship had to offer and thrilled with the ocean view cabin. Unfortunately she lost a silver heart-shaped necklace that contains some of her husband's ashes and it did not get turned in at the service desk. Hopefully someone out there either found the necklace or knows who did. It would certainly be a blessing if it was returned. Other than that, it was a delightful cruise with plenty of things to see and do onboard. The food was wonderful in both the main dining room and the buffet. Enjoyed being able to get a quick snack to take to the cabin at the end of the day. Disembarkation was relatively painless and I did not feel like I was being pushed along by other passengers or staff to get off the ship quickly. Already looking forward to our next cruise. Read Less

Excellent customer service. Cuba experience was beautiful and the music was great. Shore excursions guides were excellent. Dining was good and fast. During original embarcación we needed to wait about 30 minutes for a wheelchair and this should improve. We met nice people. Casino slot machines worked well and staff was efficient. Overall staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms were kept clean by staff. NCL should be more transparent about Cuba visas by adding a highlighted link. A few carpeted steps in the 5,6, and 7 floor stairs need to be repair as they may become a hazard. One of the banisters in the middle elevator was almost out. I suggest emphasizing were is the Latin entertainment every night. The emergency drill needs better methodology. The current methodology is physically uncomfortable and it requires too much standing time. This methodology should be given the thought of using better technology as an option. Read Less

Room was very nice. It was one of the "suites" or at least one of the nicest on the boat. Food at Cagney's was very good. As long as you don't need anything you will have a great cruise. If you need the smallest thing such as having the beds separated as instructed when cruise was booked, then that will be difficult for them to manage. They never brought extra pillows which were requested when cruise was booked. If you need a bandaid and the band-aid dispenser ($1.00 a band-aid) is empty, they will be happy to call you at your room once the band-aid dispenser has been refilled, for you to then walk back down to the medical room and put four quarters in a dispenser. Had to ask three people for band-aid, finally our butler provided three band-aids to us. The staff is polite, and not welcoming, they seem like they have just gone through some kind of corporate training to be nicer, and it really didn't stick. Other service failures occurred, and we never felt welcomed. Only the butler: Benny was helpful and kind. This is my third cruise: Disney, Royal Caribbean, and now NCL. I wouldn't recommend NCL after this cruise. Read Less

Embarkation/Debarkation Super smooth. We arrived by car a tad early as the road trip didn't take as long as expected. Luggage/porter was easy--no lines. Parking at the Port Canaveral terminal was easy. We were through security, checked-in and had boarding group 1. At debarkation there was almost no line (we did self-assist) and we walked off the ship and through customs quickly (8:30a). We were VERY impressed to see a couple of the ships Officers, a chef and other staff at debarkation to say goodbye/thank you to the guests. That is a very nice touch! Lunch at Embarkation-- there were so many places to find lunch, we chose to sit at the Great Outdoors Cafe. Easy access to several buffets and bar service. Standard buffet fare (Moderno/ Garden Buffet/ Grill) - salads, deli, pizza/pasta, burgers/hot dogs, a carving station, mac n cheese. etc. Not exciting food by any means, yet plentiful and accommodating. Staterooms (cat BB- deck 8 mid ship) Staterooms show their age (size of bathroom!). Well cleaned by the steward. Balcony is narrow so it fits 2 chairs and a tiny table large enough for coffee. We asked to have the balcony opened between our 2 staterooms and were told it is a "security issue" and could not be done. We have had this done on several other cruise lines--and suspect they denied it because its a short 4 day cruise. Impressively there is LOTS of storage--the cabinetry and closets have more drawers/shelves than the avg balcony stateroom on other ships we have sailed. I used the "hero" response card to acknowledge the efforts of our steward. IMHO the stewards have heavy work and are unsung heroes. MDR We had dinner twice in the MDR and both meals were very nice. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the starters and entrees. The service was cordial and efficient. There is a red/white wine chosen for the evening and that worked fine for us. Servers were accommodating to change wine with courses. Chicken Cordon Blu, Spaghetti Carbonara, Beef Roast, Pork Shank, and Steak Chimichurri were all nice choices. The desserts were hit or miss. The tiramisu was excellent. Neither the creme caramel nor the souffle was good. I did complete review cards on both nights that we were pleased with our meals and received acknowledgement in our stateroom from the Dining Mgt. Lunch/Buffet. Was happy to see an offering on the buffet each day that wasn't typical (thai noodle salad, or a lightly seasoned beef (picadillo?) with a creamed corn top layer (I forget this dish's name). Beyond that the buffet offered the same fare as embarkation. The carving station had terrific roasted chicken Bar Service. Being inclusive certainly speeds things up by removing the swiping/signing. I didn't see any option for tipping The Bar "menu" is the standby and it seems a bit difficult to order "off menu". It was a bit bar/locale dependent. Getting a scotch "neat" was problematic..and sometimes it came over a glassful of ice cubes. Sometimes we could get "1 piece" of ice. Bartenders tell us It is a ship policy meant to discourage the "shooters" behaviors. I was able to get some drinks without the simple syrup/added sugars or at least less of it. There wasn't an issue with bottled water not being part of the package--as the pool bar had a large chilled dispenser and cups. Any bar would provide seltzer or tonic water with lime etc upon request. Entertainment We enjoyed the quartet in the Spinnakers Lounge and watched the Karaoke. Bliss was fun for dancing though gets LOUD. People seem to forget or ignore the no drinks/glass on the dance floor. Someone dropped a drink which shut down the dance floor and when someone dropped a glass it took 20 min while it was cleaned/mopped/vacuumed and then inspected. I tend to take off my heels to dance and greatly appreciate the efforts the staff goes to to prevent slips from spilled beverages on the floor and glass! Pool/Deck The pools and hot tubs were CLEAN and didn't smell heavily of chlorine. That was wonderful. That said the last sea day the pool was packed and it is best said to venture in at your own risk. Poolside Entertainment is obnoxious and tasteless. The men's sexy legs got more and more vulgar... and the women's Ms. "Sun" 2018 was basically a classless twerking show. When a rain burst came through the entertainment director suggested a "wet T shirt" contest. He also made some race comments that made that made our millennial adult kids wonder if the guy would have a job! Our mid 20's sons (and their crowd of 18-29 group that had met and were hanging out by the hot tub) thought the Mr. Legs and Ms sexy Sun contests were ridiculous AND not appropriate for a mid afternoon ... There were families with children. Poolside music was too LOUD whether is was canned music or the bands. The bands were good--just way too LOUD! You had to shout to be heard by the person next to you. The Better poolside entertainment was the ice carving and the water balloon throw. There have to be other "clean" choices like the "minute to win it" challenges that would allow for passenger participation/spectators rather than the lurid legs/twerking contests especially when families are present. Specialty Dining We chose to try Cagney's. It was amazingly Disappointing. We cruise often enough and eat at specialty dining several times each cruise to have some ability to measure it. Cagney's tables are too close together and the noise was deafening. My chair and the chairs of 2 of the 6 people next to me were within 6 inches of each other while seated. We could hear conversations from the people around us and could hardly hear each other. On one side of us some people didn't have table manners- they can't handle a fork/knife properly. And on the other side of us we heard a greatly misinformed husband/father misinforming his wife and daughter what Bearnaise is and how Chimichurri is prepared (only to be corrected by a passing waiter). The obnoxious women to my back that spoke so loudly so that everyone knew their business which was classless. However the prize for bad form of the evening goes to the young woman with her foot up on her chair so her dress was up exposing her behind while sitting in a specialty dining establishment--that was just trashy. Those kinds of behaviors ruin the evening for others. Certainly the Maitre D could have spoken to people to be more thoughtful to others. I don't think the Maitre D runs the restaurant as a place of Fine Dining. While the beef filet and spinach were excellent, the rib eye (fatty and poorly trimmed) and the NY Strip - (cut too thinly) was not any better than a very avg restaurant. It was a special occasion (32nd wedding anniversary) and we were at a loss. It took about 15 min to get coffee after dinner. 15 min!! We did speak to the Mgr at the end of the evening. He said he could have moved us to Bistro. Honestly-- I had strolled through the other restaurants mid-meal and Bistro's tables are well apart from each other and its MUCH quieter. IF Cagney's is that much more popular--then NCL should really swap the dining rooms and use the smaller venue for Bistro OR not take as many reservations for Cagney's/remove tables. Without laying an eye on the dining room itself and the table layout--we will NOT choose Cagney's again on any ship. In as much as 3 of the 4 meals for our party of 4 were poor quality-- we'd likely stick with MDR. Public Restrooms On the first night of the cruise BOTH bathrooms near the Spinnakers Lounge/Chapel overflowed. It started with the mens room toilet which was leaking urine and water from the floor-- and there was a large amount of water and urine (better than an inch deep) in the mens room and soaking the carpeted area. Within the hour the women's bathroom toilet was also full and water/urine was flooding the ladies room. It stayed this way for HOURS! It was during the karaoke etc and the bathrooms were being heavily used. It was disgusting. These bathrooms needed to be shut down!! The Ladies restroom between the Topsail BAR and the Garden buffet was FILTHY on day 4. The floors, the doors. It smelled of urine. I saw a "cleaning woman" in there completing her form--and gathering the trash BUT she did not wipe down the doors that were covered in grubby hand prints, the sticky/yucky stall walls..and the toilet paper/water/urine on the floors. Absolutely disgusting. I did report this to a manager who said he'd pass it on to housekeeping. An hour later it was still in the same deplorable conditions. Wrote a note to the Hotel Director about both of these public restroom issues and got a call from housekeeping that it was being "remedied". However-- my point is it should never have gotten that filthy--and the public restrooms should have been cleaned MANY times each day. We have sailed other lines where public bathrooms are not only continuously cleaned All Day Long--but also there is staff present to clean them/wipe up during heavy use hours/dinner service all evening. Passengers The pax were a mix of families, singles and couples of all ages through retirement. Several languages spoken onboard including English, Spanish, German and Dutch. By and large people were congenial and polite. Families with small children/middle schoolers/tweens--ALL children we observed were well mannered and supervised. We only saw 1 outrageously drunk man (on embarkation night) who wandered into the Spinnakers Lounger partially clothed (he was dealt with promptly). Fare We paid $2100+ per stateroom. deck 8. BB. 8226/8227 Party of 4. The daily rate of $19+ per person per day was added to onboard account as expected. We used the specialty food credits but never used our 100 min per cabin free wifi. Recommended by a previous passenger. The enormous ship is an amazing structure and well fitted out with extraordinary features. The Promenade and Central Park decks were amazing and always encouraged us back for a meal, drink or social engagement or entertainment. The shows were absolutely fantastic. Cats could have been from Broadway and the theatre is one of the best one will experience. The ice-skating and trapeze shows were stupendous. We watched the amazing Aqua show at the rear of the ship twice - it was that good and enthralling. The dining rooms offered terrific restaurant fare and very enjoyable. We did not use the a la carte restaurants. Why pay extra for a meal when the one's paid for in our fare were already excellent menus? The front Soalrium relaxing areas was our favourite swimming/tanning area as against the swimming pool area which catered more for the younger set. We enjoyed watching the surfing/boarding and playing minigolf on the realistic looking putting greens. We never purchased on-shore excursions from the ship as they were very expensive. We had done a fair amount of research before the cruise as to what the ports offered. We hired local taxis or excursions which were very much cheaper and all provided exceptional value for money and some fun. In Jamaica, we took a shuttle bus from Falmouth to Montego Bay and after being dropped at the $6/person beach which was swarming with tourists we walked a further 500m to another local beach and joined the locals for no charge. Great day. The RCI-owned Labidee in Haiti was pleasant but was really joining all the passengers on land for the day. No locals to engage with, just passengers and a few resort-style activities like zip lines. We had booked a jetski excursion but it was cancelled as the sea had got a bit dangerous. Fair enough. The downside was the costs and service charges on everything. The catalogue price is really a down payment on the overall costs. Almost all the staff are from the Phillipines and most likely on a low wage. It is then up to each passenger to pay service charges and tips to help boost their pay packets. Very disingenuous. All costs for alcohol, wifi, photographs, excursions etc are all loaded so as to boost the overall revenue of RCI. Our guess was that we needed to more than double our budget for the cost of the trip and the on-board spending. Read Less

We chose this cruise because we had children that went with us. We looked at some videos online and it seemed fun for them. Honestly once you got on there, there was not much to do. Once you have done everything you get kind of bored. For the children’s club they spent most of their time playing Gaga ball. Two of the kids had fun but my one child did not like Gaga ball therefor she did not like kids club so only go there if you like Gaga ball. She was in the 9-11 group. The shows on the ship were fantastic. The food was not too great on many occasions. The staff was very nice but the food was lacking in many areas. The buffet was not as good as on other ships and was very unorganized. Our cabins were very nice. The showers were a bit too small and my father could not fit in them. Once they turned our couch into a bed they did not change it back she we could not watch tv anymore without wanting to lay down. Overall the cruise was okay but it was very expensive, especially the drink package and overall was not what we expected. They raised our expectations a little too high. Overall I would not sod this cruise again and would instead to a smaller, cheaper ship that cost less but still gave the same things. Read Less

3rd Disney cruise and loved it again every time room has been immaculate cleaned every day and towels are folded into animals and bed sheets changed every day. People say pool is too small and the 2 pools for all ages are small however it isn’t easy to have a large pool onboard a cruise ship there are also adult exclusive pools and a pool for teen club vibe (14-17) Ship is easy to navigate with maps all around and staff are friendly the ship has a fun mini golf course and basketball court. The 3 times I’ve been on the cruise my son has been able to go to all 3 clubs oceaners lab (3-12) edge (11-14) vibe (14-17) the oceaners lab is very large and great for kids as there is always activity’s on this also goes with edge and vibe. Edge is fairly small however is my sons favourite out of the 3 and every time has been extremely sad to leave his new friends. The activities range from sports deck fun to trivia challenges and video game challenges and much more. We have never made him go to the clubs yet he has chose to he would wake up have breakfast with us ( which the breakfast is a large buffet) then go to the youth club until dinner have his dinner then go back till the club closed. The waterslide the aqueduct is also a must do. There is a rotational dining plan where you change restaurants every night and cycle between the 3 and your servers rotate with you. And one restaurant even allows you to draw a character and have it animated the food quality is great with bread service, starter, salad/soup, main course, dessert. not to mention the adult only restaurants you can go to. There is also an option to share your table with another family at first this may see odd however I would fully recommend as the look at of you have children there gender there age etc and match you up with a family like so you child will instantly have a friend. You can also get food like pizza and ice cream and soda during the day for no fee The whole ship is in Christine condition as everynight and whenever the boat docks workers are always jetwashing painting or doing maintenance There is also a range of activities for adults including Karaoke music quizzes game shoes etc and like there is plenty for kids to do there is also plenty adult exclusive areas all over the ship Overall an amazing vacation and would recommend to anyone thinking about booking with or without kids Read Less

We picked this ship because it is really large. With our Star Class, getting on and off the boat was always easy. Our Genie took care of us so we waited very little. The ship has lots to do, is clean and absolutely beautiful. Our cabin was a suite. There are 2 suites bigger than ours but they don't sleep but 4 or 6. Ours sleeps 8 and was spacious. The views were great, the balcony was amazing and the service was above and beyond my expectations. Being Star Class definitely made us feel like Royalty! Your personal Genie caters to your every need. I had 4 fourteen year old boys and they had a blast. Plenty for them to do socially and they love sports. They were occupied at all times and I always felt they were safe and supervised. They loved the 24 hour room service! The entertainment was awesome. We saw Cats, the Aqua theater water show, the ice skating show, the comedy show and all of the bands and singers. We missed some shows, just ran out of time. All of the shows and bands were great! Some of our group did other events and loved them all. My husband played poker and gave it a big thumbs up. The staff at all levels are very accommodating and kind. They work hard and seem to be happy to serve. The food was delicious and we ate way too much! The shore excursions were typical. Ours was not described accurately for St. Thomas (said 2 beaches but was only 1 and rushed). It was snorkeling too and not many fish. Nassau at Atlantis is crowded and the rain closed it for a bit. But there is a beach and it has jet skis for rent and other water activities. St. Maarten was our best! Sea Trek and they threw in some snorkeling. We saw lots of fish there. Then we found a Zip line on our own afterwards that Royal Caribbean does not sell and it was the best of all. It was a zip line plus you could ride an inner tube down the mountain. Just need more time at all the stops. Typical for a cruise but there is always a rush and of course, lots of people. But everyone was friendly and we always felt safe. Bring cash off ship for extras! Jet skis Etc want cash. Read Less

The embarkation in Port Canaveral was very organized but anything that went smooth all week was quickly forgotten today during disembarkation. We were in port for over 4 hours before the "carry your own luggage off" group was called to leave. There were no explanations or updates about the delay from the cruise director , "Jess from the U.S." Many passengers were yelling down to deck 3 asking for info. It was 5.25 hours before deck 8 was called. By then hundreds had taken their chances on exiting with the groups with luggage. The "Chefs Table" was fabulous as always. We loved the food and the host, Lama. Too, too much food but it was wonderful. Our wait staff, Leonilde (sp) and Rhoman in the Sunset Dining Room were great all week. I try to avoid the buffet but enjoyed breakfast/brunch in the Sunrise Dining Room. I was disappointed in the room service menu: my favorites were either removed or are now "extras". Breakfast on the balcony has been a big plus in the past. We enjoyed The evening shows in the Liquid Lounge .The Epic Rock production was one of the best I've ever seen on board any cruise line. We also enjoyed the meeting to honor veterans. We chose our excursion in Aruba based on previous reviews (ages 55-65+) but did not enjoy the Kukoo Kunuku party bus . There was a much younger crowd that night. The bars and restaurant we went to were in questionable areas at best. Some had security guards to escort us from the bus into the building. Most of the places had no other patrons besides the Carnival excursion. The mystery drinks served were free but strange tasting so we switched early on to bottled beer.I was very happy to get back to the ship. There wasn't a lot to do on sea days besides shop the usual trinkets and port needs. The jewelry was beautiful but browsing the display cases is impossible without the constant hovering . .....the fastest way to run me off. My enthusiasm for a rare stone was squelched quickly and I never returned. I will persue it locally. Read Less

My daughter and son gave my husband and I this cruise for our Christmas present, and then told us they were going to. We couldn't believe it, even my daughter and son in-law from Nebraska were coming along. It had been a long time since we were all together on a vacation. We had no idea what to expect, had not even been on a fishing boat, let alone a ship. When we got to Orlando we visited Disney Springs and had a great meal and Balloon ride. We boarded the Sun the next morning, and the staff were already serving drinks and food, and had a band playing after lunch,at which time we decided to look at our room. Our luggage had already arrived and our Stateroom Steward Rene Kirit had our room cleaned and ready to go, he made sure we wanted for nothing the entire trip, and cleaned our room and replenished our towels at least two times a day and made sure our ice bucket was always full, and there was a new towel animal in the room everyday, I can't say enough about Rene or the rest of the staff, always smiling, friendly, and willing to help you anyway they could. The dining rooms offered a different menu every meal, what a treat to have such fine dining all included, the entertainment was awesome, a different show every nite. We had a blast on all of the beaches we went to,I even learned to snorkel, now I'm hooked on it. The best part was spending time with all of our children, enjoying all of the activities and shore excursions, like watching our grandson para-sailing. Read Less

We planned this cruise for about a year and was so excited to see Cuba before it became "Americanized." This particular cruise was the only one that fell within our timeline for our group. The embarkment and disembarkment at Port Canaveral were fantastic. When we walked onto the ship, there was no one to greet us or direct us. We simply wondered the ship - checking it out. We joined the cruise director who was giving a tour of the ship. Our luggage arrived timely. Our room was small but clean. Good thing it had been cleaned before we arrived because our steward did not touch it again. The towels were left laying on the floor for days, and we eventually ran out. The food was left in our room. No tidying up at night time and no towel animals. The food on the ship was less than satisfactory. The few restaurants included in the reservation had only a few choices. It was the same food each day. The wait staff was so rude. They would literally take the plate out from us while eating. They cleaned our tables while we were still eating. The other restaurants on board were pricey. Alcohol was complimentary and a wide variety was available. The ship's customer service center lacks professionalism. They act like they are bothered if they have to answer a question. The bars and entertainment were good. The casino was just ok. The cruise director and staff were fun. Shows were professional. Entertainment was offered nightly, except for the overnight in Cuba. Half of the crew was given leave to go enjoy Cuba. That is great for them, but a lot of the ship was closed and service was slow because few staff members were left on board. Speaking of Cuba - don't go! It is just filthy. Bathroom facilities are non-existant. The "restaurants" are so dirty that we didn't eat or drink while ashore. We had to take our own toilet paper and drinking water from the ship. Make sure you attend the seminar on what to do and not to do while in Cuba. The locals were not friendly. There was no place to shop. It is stiffling hot and there is no breeze. The stinch from sewage in the streets is nasty. Some areas are great, but other areas are not. The women and children were begging for money and some were charging $5 to take pictures of them. We went on the cigar, rum and art excursion. It was interesting. We bought cigars, rum and coffee while on the tour because of price and quality. Our souvenirs were purchased from the ship giftshop because there was nothing to buy downtown. If you do decide to go, hold tightly onto your valuables while out and about in Cuba. Read Less

This is my first Cruise and it has been unforgetable. The cabin distribution had confortable space and an excellent distribution allowing us to organize all our belongings. The food was delicious. Casual outings for the day with formal opportunities at night, allowed us to experience excellent food and service. The show we saw at the Theatre was very well presented. The different shows that we saw encouraged me to participate. The flag show was specially good because it showed me the different countries and origins of your staff. The general maintenance of the ship was spotless. Our room was very well cleaned with a romantic touch, where towels were properly folded and the light arrangements let for us created the proper atmosphere for our rest and leisure. The TV programs and the printed guides were very usefulfulAll the staff showed a clear commitment to satisfy our needs, achieving an excellent standard of customer satisfaction. Thanks for this wonderful experience. Read Less

I cannot wait to come back!!!!! Everything was amazing!! First of all, embarking and disembarking was super organized so no stress there. Once you are all settled in you have soooo many options, so many things to do you will not be bored. Open bar was simply an amazing bonus on top of food and service and everything else included. Our cabin was cleaned every day super well and the entertainment was the best. We danced so much and laughed so much. My boyfriend and I went for our birthday and we had an absolute blast. Regardless of how busy a bar or a restaurant may have been the serviced we received was always polite and handled in the fastest way possible. Just because this is open bar doesn’t mean it’s a cruise for crazy college students. I saw all ages in this cruise having a blast. There’s something for everybody at every hour of every day. I’ve had friends that have been on other cruise lines and their explanation of how good of a time they had is no where near as good as mine!! 20/10 for Norwegian !!! Read Less

We chose this cruise as it left from a nearby port and went to Havana, Cuba. I also loved, loved the open bar. I was a bit skeptical and thought we would have to stand in long lines at just a couple of specific bars... but this was totally NOT the case. You could even get a drink from waiters around the ship. There were no passengers that I could see that got carried away with the open bar. The cruise staff were the friendliest I’ve seen in recent cruising. The ship was very clean. My stateroom steward always had ice in my cabin without even asking (which i have had to do on RC it every time). Food was good. I really did not enjoy the three specialty restaurants I went to that much, Glad it was a perk and I didn’t have to pay the up charge. I enjoyed the main dining room much more. I had hoped to open the balcony separater so that my family in the room next door could connect on the balcony but they would not do it. All in all, I liked the cruise and ship very much, Read Less

The food covers all cultures and is always hot and ready when I want to eat. Entertainment and things to do on board always met my expectations. Everything on the cruise is high end. You can find something to do til the we hours of the day or you can call it a night as early as you wish. Gilman and Ronald the table staff in the Grand dinning room at table 682 are the best I have ever had to wait on me. The presentation and the service of the food were always spot on. Debra my cabin Stewart in room 10205 was always there for me and my wife. The speed of getting off the ship is as good as it gets. By 8:30 in the morning I was in my car going home. It just doesn't get any better!!! Read Less

We had been on Allure a few years ago and loved it, so we wanted to try the sister ship, Oasis. I would still rate Allure a bit better as far as the food that was offered, but most of our meals were very good. Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly, especially since we had everything done online ahead of time. We also had booked all our entertainment ahead of time and made sure our friends were on the same schedule with us. We enjoyed the "my time" dining since it was nice to be flexible and not have to stop enjoying the pool and jacuzzi to get ready for dinner at a specific time. All the shows were spectacular! We loved the Las Vegas Tenors and my personal favorite is the diving show in the aqua theater. We found that if we got to each show about 20-30 minutes early we were able to get the seats we wanted. Since there is so much to do, we never felt like we were on such a gigantic ship. I knew I wanted to try the zip line since I had not done it on Allure, and my only regret is that I waited until the last day to do it! It was great and I would suggest you try it on the first sea day so you can go on it again. I was in search of the wonderful omelets and crepes I had remembered on Allure, but never found them. (someone told me you had to pay extra for omelets? not OK!) When we slept in and wanted a simple breakfast we would go to the Cafe Promenade at Central Park. It's not an extra charge and we liked being able to eat out among the trees. The children's pools were so fantastic it made me want to bring my grandkids next time. Overall, it was a great cruise! The person that worked on out room was great. Very friendly and accommodating. She have an excellent knowledge of the ship and what was going on and answered every question we had. Also, the service and food on the My-Time-Dining was excellent. My wife and I are telling all our friends and family how great the service was. We like so much the service and attention from all in the ship that we already booked 2 more cruises. We are looking for 1 or 2 cruises a year. Please be sure to let them know how much their services are appreciated. I was planning to take a lazy week at sea (3 cruising days) to rest from the toils of work. Well, I was wrong. There is so much to do and the shoes are great that I need a vacation to rest from the vacation.  The people on the Royal Caribbean cruises are wonderful. Read Less

My husband, myself, my two kids and my parents went on this cruise and a great time was had by all. My parents were in an oceanview stateroom on deck 8 and my family was in an inside stateroom on deck 9. The rooms were more spacious than I initially thought they would be. My husband and I were very comfortable moving around and there was adequate storage for our clothes. We primarily ate at buffet which was very good. We ate our breakfasts there and a few of our dinners. There was always seating for us so we didn't have a problem with that. The one thing I did have an issue was if we wanted anything other than juice, coffee, water, tea to drink, we had to go to the bar to get a soda. Otherwise, that would be my only complaint. My husband, kids and I ate at the Four Seasons which was very good. We regret not eating there more often. I ordered the prime rib and it was fantastic. The service was great as well and especially friendly with our two small children. We were supposed to visit Great Stirrup Cay but unfortunately, it was too choppy for the tender boats to carry visitors to the island. We were really disappointed but were thankful we got out of the boat at Nassau to see the island and head to the beach. We didn't really do any shows or many activities aboard. We did go to the casino two nights for a little but. They charge an entertainment fee whenever you play so that is just an FYI. We also took the kids swimming which they loved. People get to the deck chairs early so we didn't have a place to sit but just sat around the pool which was fine. For the most part, people on the ship passengers on the ship were very friendly except for a few instances. I cannot express how wonderful the staff was. They were so friendly and so hardworking. They remembered me and my children and greeted them each time we came across. This is a huge part of why we were extremely happy with the cruise Since we did have such a wonderful time, we decided to book another NCL cruise next year for our anniversary! Read Less

I chose this cruise for the itinerary going to Cuba at a good price point. I am clostrophobic so cannot do an inside cabin and this was an outside guarantee for the price of an inside. The cruise line pulls many dirty tricks to fleece its guest. If you show up late, they were not searching for water bottles although the trash was full of pulled water bottles. We arrived at 1:30 and walked on with a couple in our carry on with no problem. They suggest People to People on visa request form which will require you to book a ship tour, but Support of Cuban People allows you to go ashore with no tour booked. Their ship tours are outrageously expensive do I gave it a low score. FB Free Tour Havana offers very reasonablec tours. The worse offense was the announce that no beverages of any kind are allowed off the ship in Havana but are selling water at the ramp before immigration. The ship is beautiful and the crew is friendly and efficient. They work hard keeping the food areas meticulously clean. Lots of elevators in good working condition and no waiting. We never had to wait to dine in either dining room. The only downside of the Sun is the cafeteria style buffet but that arrangement allows workers in galley easy access to put food out and it was always well supplied. The food was ok. The management of this ship was spot on. The shows were excellent. J.R. was great and could play and sing any kind of music. There was always some kind of live music to enjoy. The outside dining area is a major plus on this ship. Getting on and off was quick and easy. Read Less

I took my mom and sister on a cruise and I of course got stuck on a HARD pull out chair that blocked the bathroom and exit of cabin. If your family are frequent users of the restroom this situation isn’t ideal. BUT don’t complain to customers service because they ARE SO RUDE ! I have never been on a cruise and heard so many people complaining about the ustomer service. Every time I walked by there were 3 to 4 ppl complaining about, leaky showers, wet carpet, dirty showers, dark ash in toilets everytime you flush, lost baggage .. I mean how in the heck do you loose baggage on a cruise and send noticed to the other cabins the night before we dock ??? Really ! You should have been in every cabin the 1st night of sailing! By far the worse cruise I have ever been on and I cruise once or twice a year ! Terrible, the only thing this cruise had going for them are the waiters in the bar and sit down dining. Dinner is the restaurant were my only hilights other than that don’t go with a high expectation, this boat is also for seniors. Not for anyone under 40 Read Less
