A great getaway, on the Getaway!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

I will keep this short to highlight the positive because frankly there were very few issues of concern to talk about. The Getaway is an older ship that really did not show her age and you really had to look hard to find signs of wear anywhere. The ship is very well maintained and clean in all areas. Food quality, choices and presentation to include excellant service was the best we have ever had ...

I paid way to much money for poor conditions

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Freedom

I have never written a review about anything. But I chose this cruise because I read a lot of reviews and felt like I needed to mention things that I had not seen on previous reviews The food and meal staff were amazing Now, for the negative, pretty much everything else. This ship is extremely outdated, had very strong odors, which smelt like sewer. You have a total of two outlets in your ...

Noise After Midnight Every Night

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Independence of the Seas

We chose this Cruise as a last minute thing for some reasons related to an upcoming Medical procedure. Our only option with a guaranteed inside cabin. The cabin was okay as far as storage goes, the bed was a little too firm, and the switch to the bathroom is on the outside. Therefore every time someone into the bathroom at night it lit up the entire room. This was our third time on Royal ...

Do NOT let older reviews scare you!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Freedom

After reading other reviews, I was so anxious and worried about the cruise we had booked on the Freedom. We've sailed with carnival multiple other times so we had an idea of what to expect, but with tales of poor room conditions, understaffing, bad smells, over crowding, etc, I was very concerned. Our cruise was wonderful. The ship was clean and well kept. Our room (inside cabin on first deck) ...

Horrible

While the initial check-in process was smooth, we then had to sit in a large room with hundreds of other people for over a half hour until we could board. The Boat layout is extremely confusing and you have to go to other floors to get around to your final destination. We got lost 3 times before we found the Habana bar. The boat stinks of sewage A LOT. And not in only one location but everywhere. ...

What happen with the food?

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Mariner of the Seas

I have been on the Mariner of the seas before, I loved the food decided to book again months later. The food both on the buffet and restaurant was all days the same, very disappointed, because in the past was not like that, the prices are high now, and the food is worst than COVID times, I dont understand why the change... The cruise is clean and their island is really nice, did a good job ...

This was the 7th cruise for me and the 8th for my wife. This was the first time on Norwegian for either of us. Other cruises have been with Carnival and Royal Caribbean. Port stops included Porta Plata, DR, St. John, Antigua, St. Thomas, USVI, San Juan, PR and the cruise lineā€™s private island, Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas. There were two complete sea days on this nine-day cruise. We booked ...

NCL Getaway - A Debacle on the Open Seas

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

Destinations was top of mind as we explored the many choices of cruise lines. A Caribbean cruise was our top choice with as many ports as possible. Norwegian Cruise Line Getaway offered a 9-day cruise to the Dominican Republic, Saint Thomas, Saint Maarten, Antigua, San Jaun Porta Rico and of course the NCL private island in the Bahamas. With only 2 full days at sea, it seemed the best value for ...

First, I would like to say I've only cruised with Royal Caribbean (16 times) and it's the only cruise line I know. My lovely wife wanted something other than the boring Western Caribbean itinerary that's offered from our home port in Galveston TX. We've traveled to Florida ports many times, to link up with RCL ships providing better destinations. We also hold shares with all three companies, so ...

Smiles and frowns on our getaway on the GETAWAY

This is our fourth cruise with NCL (Majesty, Epic, Bliss, Getaway) and we have another five already booked for the future. We love NCL because of the value, the unlimited drink package, the freestyle dining, no unexpected charges, the Latitudes program and so much more. We just became Gold -- we're a little disappointed in how little the benefits increase between Silver and Gold, but we wonā€™t be ...
