Was underwhelmed and very reservations were very difficult for adjoining rooms.

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

We are a family of 6 with our exchange student with us. Thus we needed adjoining rooms. We the kids in one and my wife and I in the other. First issue is that RC won't combine adjoining rooms into one reservation. Second issue is that you must have an adult in each room. This would have been easier to work thru had it been communicated when we booked our rooms last summer. They got our money ...

Oasis class Ships are winning the war on Poor Customer Service

Well here I am again writing a review for the Oasis of the seas – Sadly nothing has changed for the RCCL Oasis Class Cruise Ships. After careful consideration I have come to the conclusion that writing about the experience may not be as informative as identifying the short falls that seem to be plaguing these big cruise liners. So I have changed up the format a bit to “hopefully” provide a better ...

Big and crowded

Friends encouraged us to try Oasis. Despite what people say, this ship is very big and crowded! Lines for everything, disembarking at various ports , especially Nassau, was a disaster - essentially a mob scene - all that was missing were a few burning cars !! Service was good , but very impersonal. The staff was trying , but I sensed they were overwhelmed. Food was mediocre at best! On the ...

First time on the Oasis (but my 20th cruise overall on most of the main cruiselines) and went with a neighborhood friend. We had an oceanview balcony on deck 8, cabin #8-282 and the location was great. It was close to elevators/stairs and just a short walk to Central Park. Speaking of elevators, there are plenty of them fore and aft on this ship and you seldom have to wait ...

OK Cruise - Nothing Special

We chose this cruise for the Oasis Class ship. We had a Central Park Balcony, wanted to try something different than an oceanview balcony. It was fine, spent quite a bit of time sitting out there, relaxing. Little noisy during day when pool was open, quiet in the evening. The ship is huge, but didn't feel crowded. The elevators were slow at times, and usually crowded. Dining times were usually ...

Beautiful ship. Lots of entertainment and things to do. Staff in general were a mix - some great and some rude. I fell and twisted my ankle, very obvious since it turned lots of colors. Was told to go to medical - they were closed and had been for hours. It wasn't a big deal, could have used a wrap but the attitude by the main desk was very poor. The two gentlemen that helped me get up were lovely ...

Not up to RCCL standards

We chose this cruise solely based on the itinerary & date, as we were a group of 8. From the beginning to the end, it just wasn't as good as the Anthem of the Seas. The boarding lines were a nightmare, with the staff unable to control the lines, people rudely cutting, while we followed the instructions. One of of our group had to have their cabin sanitized as it stunk of body odor. Another ...

As I tell everyone when writing a review; Don’t let anything you read in this review dissuade you from going. Everyone has individual experiences, likes/dislikes. I can only tell you about mine. One of the things that I pieced together, when reading individual reviews, is that people like myself, who’ve been on several cruises with the same company, tend to be more critical than people who’ve ...

Beautiful Ship; Terrible food; Lots of kids; Everything costs Extra

The Oasis of the Seas is a beautiful ship!! I could not imagine anything at sea that is as amazing as "Central Park" on the Oasis. One night, however, as we sat listening to beautiful stringed music, a group of children (from one of the programs) came marching through with their instruments singing & playing. Nice (if you're their parents)... a bit much if you're trying to listen to a violinist ...

Do you like shopping malls? Do you not mind crowds? Do you not minding standing in line? If so, then the Oasis of the Seas might be for you. If not, you might want to look at another vacation venue. Overall, this was a slightly disappointing, average cruise. There were a few likes and several dislikes, but not enough for me to say that it was the worst vacation ever or the best vacation ever. ...
