Looked like a great trip. Had done all of the paperwork and spent overnight in Cape Canaveral. Hampton there was excellent. Boarded very quickly although the staff at the desks had no organization. Still we got right on the ship and immediately the troubles started. Long lines, apathetic crew, mediocre to plain just bad food, drinks are just mixers, dirty plates left for hours in public/common areas, first and last Royal cruise.
The activities weren’t nearly enough for this many guests. People sitting on the floor at trivia.
Got the drink package, always a 30 minute line if you want a milkshake from Jonny Rockets.

Our family chose this cruise line because we have gone through it before and have really enjoyed the service and overall experience of the ship! We came to Orlando,FL a day before embarkation and stayed at The Avid Hotel which was very clean and 3 weeks new! My husband and I cruise a lot. We have cruised on Carnival, MSC, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean. I think about 15 in total. We have only been on Royal Caribbean twice. My husband and I thought that we would try something different this cruise and go Royal rather than our norm, which is Carnival. We have never had a bad cruise with Carnival, however, we didn’t see an itinerary that caught our eye during the vacation week that we had scheduled off for out of the port that we use. My wife and I were on the Cruise from September 15-22, sailing out of Port Canaveral. We are both Gold members (I gained mine by marrying her!), and we had a lot of expectations that this ship...and cruise line... would do a lot to overtake Norwegian as the top line.
