First Time Cruiser

Age 60s

This was our first cruise and we couldn't fault it and had a fantastic time. Our paperwork suggested that we would be met at the airport by a cruise representative in the baggage area. However we never found them and ended up asking at several information desks, one of which arranged a hotel shuttle to pick us up. The next day we were picked up by coach and taken to the port. From then on ...

2-5 Cruises

This was our first Royal Caribbean cruise, we mainly go on the less expensive cruise line. This was our fifth cruise overall. This was on Freedom of the Seas. Freedom is a beautiful ship, and we especially loved the Promenade Deck. We've never seen anything like that. The plusses on Freedom over the other line are the size of the ship. It sailed much smoother than any other ship that I've ...

Travel to embarkation: Fly to MIA, jump in a taxi. It's the quickest way to get to the port and they require flat pricing, so you know what to expect. (side note: Carnival offers check-in right in the baggage claim area, RC should follow suit because it's very convenient.) Dining: We had dinner pretty much every night in the dining room using My Time dining. The service was great and the ...

2-5 Cruises

Age 40s

This was our 2nd Cruise with Royal Caribbean, we have only sailed with Royal. We boarded Freedom of the Seas on December 14th after receiving an email the night before stating our Itinerary had changed due to an "Issue". So we lost Cococay and times had changed for St. Thomas and St. Maarten. Boarding was relatively smooth and efficient. Many angry guests that 1st day but we decided not to let ...

6-10 Cruises

Age 40s

I have been on 8 cruises with Carnival and this was my 9th cruise first with Royal Caribbean. We flew into Fort Lauderdale and bused over to Cape Canaveral to board the ship. The embarkation was horrible! It took over two hours to get on the ship. However, after that everything went smoothly. The ship was beautiful and we only had Carnival to compare it too, so we gave the boat to RCC. The kids ...

10+ Cruises

Age 60s

I'm a very experienced cruiser and go on at least 2 cruises a year. One with the family and one with just the husband this was the one with the family. I chose RoyalCaribbean because I feel they do a nice job catering to family's. I also decided to try the freedom class because they have so much to offer. I'm a Diamond member but when your traveling with a large group there were 10 of us it ...

We were joined on this cruise by several friends and family members to help celebrate our 25th anniversary. Most of them had not cruised before, we had many times. I'm always pleased with Royal Caribbean and this ship was breath taking. It was huge, and had so many extras, we choose Promenade rooms and really enjoyed watching the street parties from our room. The bay windows really helped you feel ...
