We went on Oasis of the Seas in March. It's a beautiful ship with amazing activities and entertainment. This was our tenth overall cruise (we've also been on Carnival, Celebrity, Disney, and Norwegian) and our first with Royal Caribbean. We enjoyed the cruise overall, but had a very inconsistent customer service experience and a number of issues during our cruise.
PROS:
-Gorgeous ...
We are 60 something cruisers who enjoy a little time to ourselves. We have been on cruises with many cruise lines and this is our third with Royal. We chose this ship on a whim because we saw a Kelsey Grammer movie which featured the ship. We arrived a day early and used the Cruise Line's shuttle to the ship. It was smooth abet the gal loading the buses was a bit short with the clientele. ...
My wife and 2 kids have Celiac, and thus can not eat gluten or have any cross contamination. We heard Disney and Royal are the two lines to go on if you have that, so having already tried Disney it was time to try Royal.
Royals food was MUCH better than Disney in my opinion. I do not have Celiac, so I got to try food that was specially prepared for my family, and the food that was made for ...
First time on the Oasis (but my 20th cruise overall on most of the main cruiselines) and went with a neighborhood friend.
We had an oceanview balcony on deck 8, cabin #8-282 and the location was great. It was close to elevators/stairs and just a short walk to Central Park.
Speaking of elevators, there are plenty of them fore and aft on this ship and you seldom have to wait ...
My wife and I have been on several cruises with different cruise lines. We've docked next to Oasis of the Seas and added this ship to our cruise bucket list. We are new empty-nesters and decided to take our first vacation in a long time. We booked Oasis, and we are beyond glad that we did!
What an amazing ship! It is extremely clean. Wanda in housekeeping, did an immaculate job keeping our ...
My wife and I had one of the best vacations to date on this ship. Just as a reference, my wife and I are in our late 20's, early 30s with this being our 5th cruise together and 3rd with RC. We decided to take a vacation and leave the little one home and below are what I think was great, good and needed some help with the ship.
GREAT
Let's start real positive, the ship rarely feels crowded. I ...
Oasis is an amazing ship. There was so much to do and the service was excellent. Staff could not have been better. Sean (007) took excellent care of our cabin and was always so friendly morning, noon, and night. He called my son by his name in the hallway on the first day even before meeting him! In the main dining room, Glen and Heriyanto made sure that my daughter, who is a vegetarian, always ...
Royal Caribbean - Oasis of the Seas 7 day Western Caribbean
Embarkation - - Got there at 10:15 which was a little too early, but got checked in and had to wait 15-20 minutes to get on the ship, very easy embarkation process
The ship - Oasis of the Seas. I didn’t know what to expect because the ship is expected to soon go to dry-dock for refurbishing. I thought the ship was is good ...
We chose this cruise for the Oasis Class ship. We had a Central Park Balcony, wanted to try something different than an oceanview balcony. It was fine, spent quite a bit of time sitting out there, relaxing. Little noisy during day when pool was open, quiet in the evening.
The ship is huge, but didn't feel crowded. The elevators were slow at times, and usually crowded. Dining times were usually ...
We chose this cruise for several reasons: (1) It was 'bout the only week we could go this Spring, (2) We'd never been on an Oasis-class ship before and wanted to try it on for size, and (3) It had a couple of ports we'd not been to before -- Labadee (RCL's private island) and Falmouth, Jamaica.
Embarkation:
It was easy. We arrived about 11:30am and there was a crowd, but it went smoothly. ...
