Overall, we had a great time. This was our first NCL cruise, only cruised Princess in the past. We went with another couple and we all had a great time. Food was okay in the Main dining rooms, Specialty dining was better, but not much. We don't get caught up with that, as we realize they are preparing for 4000 + guests and specialty came with the package. the 150 minutes of wifi was a joke, we ...

Our housekeeper, wait staff Rakeesh and Rama, waitress from LA Cucinda I believe she is from Panama very professional and Stephen, and our cruise director Jack awesome ppl. The groups and shows were fantastic. We shall cruise again on this cruise ship and its line. I would love to have seen more shows to attend, however overall we were pleased with most of all departments being courteous and ...

This is our 4th Norwegian cruise and my husband and I have cruised 30+ times. We decided to take another Norwegian cruise, after the past two years of not so great of an experience on Carnival. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and had a lovely time. *Food was delicious and expertly prepared; including on the buffet. Food on our past two cruises with Carnival was truly terrible / some inedible ...

NCL ESCAPE CRUISE REVIEW

My husband and I cruise often with NCL. This was our second time on the Escape. It was my sister and brother-in-law's first cruise on NCL. They were impressed with the ship, staff, and overall activities. My sister and I have Celiac disease and must be on a gluten-free diet. As always, I requested a gluten-free diet. I never had a problem until this cruise. At the Cruise Critic Meet and Greet, ...

Beautiful Ship but much too overcrowded

After sailing on RCL Odyssey of the Seas and Wonder of the Seas we noticed a definite decline in the quality of the food, the cabin service and certain alcohol selections. While RCL has diminished it's food quality in exchange for a "Quick Meal Menu" NCL"s food selections and actual preparation with attention to taste is far superior. RCL's cabin service has been cut down from daily to once a ...

Interior room experience

Guests: Two females aged 57, 61. We chose this cruise because of the ports and to just relax in sun and read. It was our first time in an interior room. Embarkation was a breeze even tho it was raining. We had a hard time at first finding our way around but staff was very helpful. We arrived at port at 11.30, got in our room by 1.00 and had our luggage by 4.00. Note: apparently there were 3 bags ...

I chose this cruise line because I have done NCL before in Europe on The NCL Epic, which was amazing. The Escape was good but the buffet food was not good at all to me and O'Sheehans food was not as Good as the Epic neither. The entertainment on this ship was great. Deal or No Deal was my favorite. They definitely keep you entertained on this ship which is why I'm giving it a 4. I would have ...

Trans-Atlantic adventure

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

This was my 2nd cruise on the Getaway, having previously sailed on a 7-night Caribbean cruise. I chose this cruise because of the unique itinerary being very late in the season for a ship to reposition to Europe. As a single, it caught my attention as there was no single supplement. The pre-cruise preparation was simple enough, and entering in all information online went smoothly. ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

I spent my first Transatlantic cruise onboard the Getaway. I was already familiar with the ship, having taken her a few years ago for an 8-Day adventure through Scandinavia, Russia & the Baltic, which was incredible. The ship is quite comfortable and this time I was a bit nervous, as my bid for a balcony room was not accepted and for the first time in my half dozen cruises, I was in steerage (5th ...

Concerns Not Realized

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

Long time 4 Star Holland Customers. Picked NCL because of the itinerary(transatlantic crossing) and price. We’re worried about being on a 4000 passenger ship with lots of kids (youngest kids on Holland are 45). Worries never realized. Layout of ship with lots of small ares, including a dozen or more restaurants and two dozen bars never felt like we were on a mega ship. Children were a delight. ...
