Not sure why this ship gets so much heat on here, I regretted reading this a few days before the cruise.
Yes its a quirky ship, but its really quite a fun one too. The Caribbean sailings have been full at capacity, so of course there have been some lines. Famously the upstairs wave bar, but the bartenders work very quickly and work very very hard. Serving multiple people at one time, the lines ...
My husband and two kids age 5 and 7 and myaelf cruised with a family group of 10 ranging in ages 5-80 to the eastern Caribbean. We all had a blast. The kids loved it and want to go again. They didn’t do any of the kids club stuff, wanted to stay with us. They had a blast eating whatever they wanted each day and swimming all day. We all wanted to stay another week and would go again. The Epic was a ...
I've been on many cruise with most being on Carnival. I think I've been on 19 Carnival, 1 Royal Caribbean, 1 Disney, and 1 Commodore (no longer around). We usually cruise on Carnival because it's cheaper, but we thought this was one of the best cruises we have been on. We had been on a similar route, and did our own thing as far as excursions go, but the class of people on board and certain ...
We had the most EPIC vacation on the Norwegian Epic (pun totally intended). The ship had a great layout, the service was great and we really, really loved the food. The Chinese restaurant was the biggest surprise. This restaurant, along with the buffet, Irish bar and two main dining rooms, are included in the price of the cruise. The noodle bar that is part of the Chinese restaurant was great!! We ...
This was a sort of last minute cruise (booked end of January for 3/30-4/6 cruise).
Despite all that was happening in regards to the Epic, we were going on this cruise to relax and that we did.
Embarkation: We pulled into the pier parking lot at 10:10, dropped off are luggage, breezed thru security and check in (boarding group 10)and took a seat to wait. At 11:00 they announced that ...
I loved the extra perks as in the 3 specialty dining , the excursion pkg and i've always wanted to see the beautiful water of St. Thomas. Our trip was wonderful and our Cabin guy Chris was the best. we went on a bus tour, i got sick and our guide was so wonderful and caring, he made sure i got back to the ship with out having to walk from town. We loved Cagneys steak house, it was delicious. would ...
I'll try to keep this as brief and informative as i can. First, this was the cruise that experienced engine problems, missed all our ports and arrived late back to Port Canaveral, but this is a review of our experience on board and more importantly, the ship itself.
This was our 7th cruise among several different lines, so the ship as a whole we really enjoyed. It's big, the food was very ...
This was our (my wife and myself's) third time on the Epic in as many years. The date and port were perfect and the Epic was available for sailing. There is only one gripe and an immense amount of compliments I could give the staff and ship. Let's get the gripe out of the way. During day one and two there was one, yes one, staff member roaming the lounge chair area taking drink orders in Spice ...
We had an awesome family vacation on the NCL EPIC, sailing December 15-December 22 in a 2 bedroom Haven cabin. This was our first experience in the Haven and will definitely cruise the Haven in the future. Our butler, Richard and room steward, Elisa were wonderful making sure that we had anything we needed. The second day my son ordered a turkey sandwich from room service, once Richard found out ...
Embrakment was easy and organized. We had a balcony room lots of room for two people and storage for clothes. Dining was great. Had most meals at buffet garden cafe buffet, Cagney steakhouse, Japanese hibachi and braizilian steakhouse. Service was wonderful. Guaranteed you won’t go hungry. Don’t forget to have room service at least for a late night pizza snack. Ports of call are a way to stretch ...
