Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Epic

This was planned well in advance with 4 couples and 2 adult children. This is our 11th cruise and this one would rate only about 3.5 stars to us. Food was excellent, staff we encountered were excellent, room was well kept. Now the downside. We went 12-15-2018 to 12-22-2018, the ship was packed. Not sure you could have shoehorned another person on board. Many of the activities you had to either ...

Wanted a pre Christmas get away. First time on Norwegian. Food was good. Buffet better than most. Good options. Dining room decent food. Good service. Specialty dining was decent. Better on others. Bar service good in most bars. Weak drinks outside. Martini bar very good. The entertainment was very good on this ship. Magician good. Piano bar excellent. Second cruise on a Norwegian boat, sailed on the Escape earlier in the year, we thought this would be to the same standard, unfortunately the Epic isn't. We sailed out of port Canaveral mid December after queuing for 2 hours to get on. We paid extra for the all inclusive drinks package only to be told that if we wanted a "Speciality" coffee, I,e, a Latte or similar we would have to pay an ...

Recommended by family to choose NCL. Scary and long check-in to board the ship in Orlando, it took over 3 hours. There was no organization at all and at times the public became verbally abusive to others cutting in the line-ups. In fact, it was very scary at times! Once on board, our room a mini-suite was incredible. Very spacious with plenty of storage. However, I fear that there may be ...

We really wanted to do our next cruise (our 27th) aboard the Epic. It did not disappoint. We chose a balcony stateroom on deck 9.It was really different than other balcony cabins we stayed in on any cruise ship. It had a separate shower and toilet area and a draw curtain that separates the two from the rest of the cabin. Wasn't really a problem for us,but saw several complaints from other ...

We departed from Canaveral. There were tons of activities on board but we weren't surprised with food, it was normal. The view is spectacular, though we didn't take any pictures -we were just enjoying the experience-; we think that although the food wasn't spectacular, being on board on the Norwegian Epic was that, "epic", haha. There were tons of water-parks on board, slides, anything you can ...

This is my 4th cruise on Epic (previous cruises include 3 TA's). I shared a cabin w/a former SO and invited two friends in a separate cabin. We both were in balcony cabins; although we didn't spend a lot of time on the balcony, it was worth the extra money. Because I had experienced Epic, I was excited to introduce my friends to NCL. Upon getting on Epic, we got in line to make reservations for ...

We've cruised several times with NCL in the past, but only on shorter cruises and smaller ships . Based on our past experiences, we were really looking forward to our 10 days on the Epic. Our cruise started off on a really bad note. We arrived at Port Canaveral just after 11am, and there was already a long line. We got into line and soon realized the line wasn't moving, and nobody was ...

Overall, the trip was nice it was my first time cruising on Norwegian. Main purpose of booking this cruise was for the ports, which were AMAZING!! The only complaint I have regarding the ports were that 2 of the stops you needed to book a tendering time which wasn't told to us until hours before reaching the first destination, so be sure to check on that when you first embark the ship. The ...
