Review for a Bahamas Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

We went on the MSC Meraviglia. The Atrium was absolutely gorgeous. It definitely feels like a party cruise (Vegas Vibes). The private island was pretty cool. The drinks were not cheap, but not overpriced. The stateroom was adequate. The service was fine. This ship was beautiful and had lots of potential. THE FOOD WAS AWFUL!!! My husband and I are not picky eaters, but absolutely trash. The only ...

A mediocre cruise

We sailed on the Meraviglia for their three-day overnight cruise at Ocean Cay. Our sailings are usually much longer, but this was for our 9-year-old granddaughter. We’ve been on these shorter cruises before, and this one was a spring break booze cruise on steroids because of St. Patrick’s Day. And there were LOTS of kids. No big surprises, and not our sort of cruise. Positives: Like everyone ...

Poor service

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

The MSC sales agent told us the ship would have about 3000 passengers. Once on board we were told there were 4400. The ship was not staffed to support that many passengers. Service was slow, lines to do just about anything on the ship. 5th floor dining room management was unresponsive. The first night we asked for a permanent table for 6. We eventually got assigned seating, but it was not ...

Worst Customer Service/Food

We have been on 7 cruises with Royal and Carnival and we have never done a public review, but people need to know how bad MSC is. I'm being 100 percent honest. Crew is rude (it felt so weird ordering drinks without a hello or even one word spoken. Just a finger pointing to a card reader for payment. The same thing happened at the casino cashier. Long waits at least 15 minutes every drink you ...

Decided to try MSC because we were looking for an affordable cruise to bring our two 15 year old granddaughters on. We have sailed 10 previous cruises with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. The good: Ship appearance Ocean cay Coffee shop on the island. Specialty restaurants Gelato The Bad: Poor service started with embarkation. We traveled with our granddaughters and ...

Understaffed and Underprepared

The price was right and the ship was beautiful. The staff worked very hard and I felt very bad for them as they were so understaffed that the stress was visible. I give the staff an A+ for not walking off the job under these circumstances. I will give GARY an A+++++ for working hard and staying after to get drinks for everyone. We tipped him well. As for the rest of the cruise.....D- at ...

Understaffed, undersupplied mess

The ship itself is beautiful, but the beauty was quickly overshadowed by the depressed, overworked staff doing the best they can to get through. They seemed very understaffed. The staff was not very interactive with anyone as I have seen on past ships. Only one or two bartenders work at some of the busiest pool bars most of the time. In the casino, there was only one bartender some nights, so if ...

We choose this cruise because we have never been on MSC before and they would match our status with royal Caribbean (diamond plus) although it didn't equate to the same services. The cruise was very price competitive including drinks and wifi so we booked. The ship was absolutely beautiful and the cabin was equally elegant very modern styling very well done. the bathroom shower larger then most ...

Good Cruise...but

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

We chose this cruise based on a great group rate from our travel agent but, I guess you get what you pay for. Embarkation day, our cabin, the shipboard activities, entertainment, the ports, were great...especially Ocean Cay. In fact, the only issues we had ON BOARD were the food and dining room service. Pasta was served quite undercooked, called al dente by our waiter. It was much harder than ...

We booked 5 days before sailing, we know MSC is not the best. We are Diamond members with RCCL and Platinum with NCL. I know Carnival is thankful MSC has entered the Caribbean Market because Carnival is no longer the worst. 1st Day - Dinner took 2 hours and 10 minutes and we didn't get dessert. We never had any cabin service our first night. The first show was ok because of the music. The ...
