Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

We have been on 7 cruises with Royal and Carnival and we have never done a public review, but people need to know how bad MSC is. I'm being 100 percent honest. Crew is rude (it felt so weird ordering drinks without a hello or even one word spoken. Just a finger pointing to a card reader for payment. The same thing happened at the casino cashier. Long waits at least 15 minutes every drink you ...

In spite of reading all the negative reviews, we chose this cruise because of the low cost and convenience of port. The ship is massive! Very pretty and extremely clean. We chose the balcony cabin at the aft of the ship overlooking the wake (9294) and we were very happy with this choice although it was a very long walk to the elevator. Included a couch and also two extra bunk beds if we had ...

Decided to try MSC because we were looking for an affordable cruise to bring our two 15 year old granddaughters on. We have sailed 10 previous cruises with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. The good: Ship appearance Ocean cay Coffee shop on the island. Specialty restaurants Gelato The Bad: Poor service started with embarkation. We traveled with our granddaughters and ...

Understaffed and Underprepared

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

The price was right and the ship was beautiful. The staff worked very hard and I felt very bad for them as they were so understaffed that the stress was visible. I give the staff an A+ for not walking off the job under these circumstances. I will give GARY an A+++++ for working hard and staying after to get drinks for everyone. We tipped him well. As for the rest of the cruise.....D- at ...

Understaffed, undersupplied mess

The ship itself is beautiful, but the beauty was quickly overshadowed by the depressed, overworked staff doing the best they can to get through. They seemed very understaffed. The staff was not very interactive with anyone as I have seen on past ships. Only one or two bartenders work at some of the busiest pool bars most of the time. In the casino, there was only one bartender some nights, so if ...

PROS: Food was decent, shows were decent, embarkation and debarkation was quick and organized. Stateroom was spacious and clean. Ship was beautiful, layout can be confusing and the dome show was awesome! Lighthouse show and beach party were awesome too. Love the private island. CONS: Not enough staff. Lines at every bar 20-30 mins sometimes an hour for one drink people were actually getting ...

We have always sailed with Carnival in the past and decided to change things up this time around. I picked Harmony because of the large variety of activities onboard for my kids. Lots that we loved, but there’s still room for improvement. Pools - enjoyed the layout of the pool deck with 3 pools and the splash pad area arranged in a big square. They were all easy to access and had nice variety ...

We choose this cruise because we have never been on MSC before and they would match our status with royal Caribbean (diamond plus) although it didn't equate to the same services. The cruise was very price competitive including drinks and wifi so we booked. The ship was absolutely beautiful and the cabin was equally elegant very modern styling very well done. the bathroom shower larger then most ...

Decent First MSC Experience.

We just got off our 1st MSC Cruise (Meraviglia). We have been Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor members for years, but we found this one for a spur-of-the-moment trip and it was fairly cheap compared to what we're used to, so we gave them a try. As for the ship itself...Beautiful ship!! Clean and quite impressive with the dome ceilings on decks 5 & 6, shops, dining rooms, the on-board water park, ...

We wanted to try MSC on a short Cruise before booking a longer one. Embarkation was excellent no issues or delays. The ship is beautiful and very clean - the main atrium on decks 5-6-7 have a ceiling that illuminates kind of reminds me of the Freemont Experience in Las Vegas. 0ur cabin was a sunset verandah (rear Balcony) very nice and private but its like walking through a corn maze to get ...
