I have been on few cruises with RCL, Carnival before, and this is my first time with NCL, the experience with NCL is the lowest I must say.

Waited in extreme long lines to tender off and on the ship,Over 2 hours each way.
I feel we should have been compensated because lf lack of enough tenders to get us off the Ship. Leaving us with little time in each port

Ship needs refurbishment badly. Rips, tears and holes in furniture throughout. Stained, dirty upholstery. Ripped, stained, faded flooring throughout. Chipped and peeling paint throughout. Broken window in the Silver dining room. Decor is very old, odd colors, strange designs.

We chose this cruise as we wanted to try a more recently built ship. The overall cruise was good. No real show stoppers, but there was some concerns. Embarkation was absolutely perfect. This was our first big ship. Loved it. We had the key program which was our only disappointment. We got the run around from crew when we asked where key disembark breakfast and gangway was. Our friends recommended HOS. We had an amazing time with our two teen daughters and group of friends which consisted of 4 other families.
The weather/wind is beyond the control of the captain.
We didn’t get to port at Costa Maya because of the high winds that day and there were a few times of rough seas.

We have been on 18 cruises since 2000 with 9 of those cruises being NCL. The wind, Majesty, Sky twice, Pride of America, Pearl, Epic and Bliss. Last March we went on the Bliss and it was great. In December we went on the Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas and it to was a great experience.
