Disney Vacation Club Member Cruise. This was my son's first cruise and my first "traditional" cruise since the one prior was on the Celebrity Xpedition to the Galapagos. It was just the two of us on a mom-son bonding trip.
DAY 1:
Embarkation went smoothly, but lines were extremely long to get thru the scanners and into cruise terminal (arrived at 1015a for 1030a Port Arrival Time, got to ...
My husband and I have been on about 40 cruises; seven of which were with multiple grandchildren. We have taken 4 Disney cruises with them, 3 of which were on the Dream. It is such a beautiful ship and children are so well treated that I can't imagine why anyone traveling with children of any age would not choose Disney if they could afford it. Although we usually travel with just two kids at a ...
Everything about our cruise went exceedingly well. I went with two granddaughters. Getting through the pre-boarding process was fast and easy. Wait staff was always great and food was really good. Added $ to the gratuity of the main waiter who held onto and returned gloves that were part of the 8 year old's pirate costume. Loved our stateroom and host. Added $ to his gratuity because he was so ...
Why did we choose this Cruise?
1. Our 7yr.old Grandsons first cruise
2. It's Disney.
3. It's Disney
Our travel agent said it would be great.
She was right!
She said you can drop your child off at the "oceaneers club" for kids and they'll be happy.
She was right! Our grandson did not want to leave. allways told me" one more hour","one more hour"
The food was plentiful, ...
Our love for Castaway Cay is why we booked this B2B Double Dip cruise on the Dream. Disney's private Island is packed full of interesting and fun things to enjoy, or adults only Serenity Bay has your relaxing covered also. This trip is so convenient, just walk off the ship at your leisure and walk back on when you are ready, it is Disney themed but not too much. The barbecue on the Island is ...
Son wanted to cruise on Disney. I didn’t care. I personally would rather go back to Disney World. We had a good experience for the most part.
Our servers were excellent & friendly. I’m not a fan of sharing a table, other people didn’t have to, my son had an issue with it. I wish we were told prior.
We bought the $300 photobook with the thought they would take pictures of us. That’s the ...
Well we chose this cruise because it was the top shelf of cruise lines catering to families. Of course you pay up front, but hey it's Disney. I will say without a doubt that I would rather pay the excessive prices for a cruise over the parks. I couldn't stand the thought of paying thousands of dollars to basically stand in line in the heat for a 2 - 3 minute ride if we're lucky.
The decor was ...
My wife and I have always sailed on Celebrity but this one was all about the grand kids. Knowing we would be surrounded by kids of all ages we were a little nervous as we like a laid back atmosphere but we were surprised as it wasn't bad at all and I have to admit it was worth it to see all the young ones so captivated. Ship was beautiful and well maintained. Cabin was spotless and well laid ...
We took this cruise in May 2018 and I really wanted to love it but unfortunately it was awful!
It was just me and my husband (from the UK) and it was to follow our 6th WDW holiday -we are huge Disney lovers !
We thought it would be the icing on the cake ....but how wrong were we !
Sorry to those that love the Dream but I can only tell it from the experience we had...........
On ...
Having only ever sailed on Norwegian before, I went into this cruise with a good idea of what I did and didn't like and Disney blew me out of the water.
First, the check in process was very quick and easy. Even the customs/security agents were very polite and helpful. All in all, it was about a 30 minute process to get everything squared away and get ready to get on the ship.
Walking onto ...
