No Lobster at all. Was told they do not serve it any longer
Martini at dinner only on the 8th floor. Why would I not be able to get a drink at dinner? Insane
No Make up mirror available
No shrimp cocktail anywhere. Was told they will not serve it any longer. Unacceptable
Wait staff just plain not accommodating to my wants and needs in main dining room.
Room floors were worn and ...
Apparently, being from the Northeast, I was unaware of a delightful thing known as a “swarm of love bugs”. They were positively everywhere. Inside, outside, in staterooms and dining rooms. Some even survived for several days.
Needless to say, the first day was shockingly bad.
I am not sure what could have been done differently, but this was outrageously bad.
Key West is a lovely place. ...
This was my 5th Norwegian Cruise, previous 4 were on other ships. The Sun was disappointing; service and amenities were below what I enjoyed on other Norwegian ships. I was in a suite which has always included water and liquor in the room, but not on the Sun! Had to pay extra for bottled water.
Many of the bars were never opened. So, yes, they claim unlimited drinks, but hard time finding ...
I was asked by a friend to re-visit Cuba and decided on this cruise because I wanted to visit Key West rather than go to the Bahamas. I have limited mobility and take my own scooter along but was extremely dismayed to find that the ship (even though it was recently refurbished) was not at all inviting for a scooter. It was difficult to board because of the steep incline and 4" threshold over the ...
My friends and I chose this cruise because one of my friends was having a birthday and had talked often about going to Cuba.
On a positive note, the ship itself - the cabins, bars and lounges, ship layout, and staff were good.
Dining was average. Selection at the buffet for lunch and dinner was not as extensive as other cruise lines I have been on. Breakfast selection was good. Only ate in ...
We were celebrating our anniversary and we had always wanted to go to Cuba. A cruise seemed to be the easiest way to go. We are both very experienced travelers and we admit to high expectations. We had lowered our expectations for this relatively cheap (or so we thought) option.
Realize that the cruise ship business model is to tease you in the ship with a ridiculously low fare then sell you up ...
After 22 years of fun sailing I feel it necessary to give my first negative review. My wife and I are Platinum Members and truly enjoy the perks we receive but this cruise started off wrong before we ever got on the ship and the problems continued afterwards. During our "Priority Check-in" our desk attendant froze the computer three times and each time needed an IT staff member to unlock his ...
For the amount of money I paid to go on this cruise, I should have at least been able to sleep in a bed. I took my mom and sister on a cruise and I of course got stuck on a HARD pull out chair that blocked the bathroom and exit of cabin. If your family are frequent users of the restroom this situation isn’t ideal. BUT don’t complain to customers service because they ARE SO RUDE ! I have never been ...
I was looking forward to this cruise because of the great ports - Key West and Havana. The ports didn't disappoint but the service did.
We had cabin 5011, oceanview cabin. Location was perfect - right outside Guest Services, very convenient to everything. When we were finally allowed in our cabin, we opened the refrigerator to find a plate full of half eaten chocolate covered strawberries, a ...
A learning experience - since the cruise ships are so paranoid about norovirus you don't dare go to the doctor for anything unless you like spending your cruise in your room.
I had a very minor bout of diarrhea the night before we got to Cuba due to some spicy food I ate onshore in Key West. The next morning I felt fine, had no symptoms whatsoever, but I thought I had better get something ...
