Glorious Glory

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

We're fourth time Carnival Cruisers. Maybe we need to change companies as our cruise was good, very good, just nothing new or different. I made my reservation, balcony guarantee, over a year ago. I know the ship was "full", but my cabin location was just okay. I guess you get only what you pay for on a full ship cruise; no upgrading. First year on spring break we got upgraded to a suite, second ...

We drove from our Florida home to the port and breezed through a very easy embarkation process to the Lido deck , with drink-of-the-day in hand, by 11:30 AM. We were in our room by 2:00. The room was nice, clean and in good condition although the mattress was worn with body shaped depressions on both sides. This was the only maintenance issue we saw on the entire ship. We are used to frequently ...

DW and I just returned from a seven day cruise on Carnival Glory from Port Canaveral to Cozumel, Belize, Costa Maya and Bahamas. The night before the cruise there was a rocket launch at Cape Canaveral. We watched from a place at the pier on Cocoa beach. It was amazing to watch the huge fireball going up and the glowing debris from the rocket-stages drifting like fireworks slowly back down to the ...

I cruised on the Glory with my 3 children, aged 13, 10 and 3. We left Port Canaveral on March 21 for a 4 port itinerary. We stopped at Cozumel, Belize, Costa Maya and the Bahamas. I chose the Glory for the low price for the four of us and for the itinerary. Embarkation was kind of slow. There was no one at embarkation to give us directions to the buffet. There was no one from Camp Carnival ...

We (husband and wife along with two friends) went on our first cruise on 2/21. We flew into Orlando the night before and stayed at a hotel about 10 minutes from the port. Saturday morning we used Shirley's Shuttle (very friendly driver and clean, nice van) to get to the port. The check in process was great. It went very quickly and we didn't have any problems at all. I'd say it only took 20 ...

We loved cruising on the Glory

My wife and I flew into Fort Lauderdale from San Jose Calif, a week before our cruise. We rented a car and toured southern Florida before arriving in Cocoa Beach. My wife's mother and sister live only a few miles from Port Canaveral so we visited with them before our cruise. We had a very active roll call and had made plans to meet up with some of them at Rusty's on Friday night before our cruise. ...

A great time on the Glory

We flew in the morning of embarkation and made use of Carnival's airport to ship transfer. I was traveling with my husband Todd, daughter Megan (9) and daughter Emily (2). This was my 7th Carnival cruise. We're Vacation Club members and have VIP embarkation - great perk. There was a large wedding party boarding that slowed things up a bit, but we were on the Lido deck within 30 minutes. We ...

Fun Ship = Rowdy, Party Ship

I must say up front that the reason we chose this Carnival cruise is because Carnival gave us a sizable on-board credit as a goodwill gesture for destroying our luggage and doing $600 damage to our belongings on our first cruise with them. We approached this cruise as somewhat of a "do over" and wanted to be able to say we would recommend this cruise line, but it just didn't work out that way. ...

We really enjoyed our second Carnival Cruise (went last year on the Destiny to the Southern Caribbean) much more than our first. Although the ports were much better on the Southern Caribbean itinerary, the boat and embarkation port were far superior on the Glory. We went a day earlier to Orlando and it was nice to not have to rush from the airport. We did a little shopping and relaxed. We booked ...

Nice cruise, but some things are lacking

Let me first say this was our first cruise - we are a couple in our early 30's. We arrived at Port Canaveral around 11am and went through the check in process with great ease and speed. We were on the ship by 11:30 am and instructed to visit the buffet lunch until our cabins were ready at 1:30pm. We weren't hungry yet, so we decided to sit and relax at the lobby bar. We slowly began to ...
