Was pleasantly surprised by Carnival

Had done Disney twice, RC and Norwegian once each and all were great. Just didn't want to do Carnival due to their adds and rumors of constant partying. But got a good rate and this fit all of our needs so decided to give it a try. Went in with zero expectations. Truthfully, I was expecting to be terribly disappointed. And it turned out to be just fine and I would do Carnival again! And believe me ...

My son, girlfriend, and DH and I drove to Dallas to catch our flight. Never again will I make a 4.5 hour drive to catch a flight. While we made the drive fine, none of us got any sleep the night before our flight due to our late arrival in DFW. EMBARKATION: This was a breeze. We arrived to the port by LIMO (highly recommend Limo Orlando) from Orlando. This was a surprise for my son and his ...

This was only our second cruise, having gone to the Western Caribbean before on a Royal Caribbean cruise in 2001 on the Nordic Empress. We found the Carnival Glory cruise to be very good and slightly better than our experience with Royal Caribbean. We are Midwestern, professional, no kids, and in our late 30s. I eat a pescatarian diet, meaning I eat no meat, eggs, or dairy, but I'll eat ...

This was our first cruise ever and it was far more wonderful than I ever expected. Prior to our cruise I read many reviews that had many negative things to say about Glory and Carnival. Let me first say that I have no other cruise to compare this one with but if there were any better then more power to them. Embarkation- We arrived at Port Canaveral and unloaded our luggage and was assisted by ...

We are mainly RCCL cruisers and are just below diamond status. Needing a quick getaway and not finding what we wanted { by date } with our usual line we decided to try Carnival. Booked everything on line { another first} We drove to the cruise port and stayed at the Country Inn and Suites quite close to the cruise terminal. We were shuttled to the terminal and left our car at the hotel. { we ...

This is my husband and my fourth cruise and our two daughters (ages 12 & 10) third....all with Carnival. We decided to leave the evening before the cruise to avoid the hassle the day of. Our flight left Milwaukee around 5:15pm and with a layover in Atlanta, we arrived in Orlando at 11:00pm. We rented a car and drove less than 10 minutes to stay at the Quality Inn Airport Hotel. It was nice and ...

My wife and I are in our 20's and this was the 7th cruise for us on Carival and the Glory was the 4th Carnival boat we have been on. I want to start off by saying that we booked this cruise the day after we got off the boat in May 2009, prior to hunting season dates beign published. I was very much looking forward to this trip until I realized that I wa going to be missing 2 weekends of hunting ...

We planned this cruise around one of our daughters coming with us, but she had to cancel out so that just left the two of us. My wife has cruised quite a bit with Carnival and one Big Red Boat, but this was my third, first on a big ship. We did the Carnival Holiday two years ago. I did not know what to expect on a 7 night cruise on a huge ship. We flew from TN into Orlando and bought a round ...

Finding the Dock was Extremely easy, getting to the parking garage was a little crazy, they kept directing us to where to drop baggage, but after that it was a snap. The check in process was easy and quick. While waiting they did some performances and announcements, just indicative of a fun cruise. Boarding was very quick and painless, even though we aren't platinum members yet. Our rooms ...

I'd been on numerous cruises, but had avoided Carnival due to image I had of a 7 day frat party at sea. Tried the Pride in June and loved it. Was that just a fluke, or would I love my 9/26 Glory cruise too? Traveled with a coworker (her 1st cruise) this time. Glory was beautiful and very clean. I saw a few rust streaks on front of ship and after a couple hours in our 1st port, they were scrubbed ...
